Greetings, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to a new edition of my who would win series and it is going to be Lady Galadriel from The Lord of The Rings vs Kreia from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 The Sith Lords
For Galadriel, I will use images of the Peter Jackson films and also cover her info from the Simarillion and of course, The Lord of the Rings. That said, I will also composite Galadriel by including her Hobbit Film appearance.
For Kreia, I will focus solely on the Knights of the Old Republic 2 The Sith Lords game for a source of her capabilities. That said, I will use images from Yoda vs Gandalf to showcase Kreia's abilities with the Force.
Finally, I will cover each combatant's skills, powers, equipment, weapons (Kreia) accomplishments and finally, who I personally think will win.
So, without further ado, let's begin
Lady Galadriel
Lady Galadriel is one of the oldest, wisest and fairest of all beings in Middle-Earth. Her role in Middle-Earth is quite extensive. Long story short, Galadriel and her husband Lord Celeborn were the rulers of the Elvish Realm known as Lothlorien. Despite their status, Galadriel and Celeborn never took royal titles. Instead, they saw themselves as the Guardians of the Golden Wood.
Living a life of peace, until the imminent return of the Dark Lord Sauron, Galadriel eventually met many adventurers, all of whom were provided gifts from Galadriel herself. One day, a group of unlikely allies came to Lothlorien seeking shelter, one of them was the Ring bearer known as Frodo Baggins.
Galadriel, knowing about Frodo's burden of the One Ring, the most prized jewel of Sauron, gave Frodo advice on how to end the War of the Ring. Simply put, she even gave Frodo the motivation to carry forth this burden.
After the Ring was Destroyed, and the forces of Sauron were defeated, Galadriel eventually went to the Undying Lands alongside Gandalf, Bilbo Baggins and of course, Frodo.
That is a brief and very short background of Galadriel, now, let's see what this beautiful Elf can do.
Nenya
Nenya, also known as "The White Ring, The Ring of Adamant, The Ring of Water" is one of the three rings of power given to the Elves. Galadriel, is in possession of Nenya and, the most impressive aspect of the Ring, it is virtually invisible to the naked eye. However, those who possess the One Ring, will be able to see Nenya.
Nenya allows Galadriel to have powerful abilities. It also gives her a surprising amount of firepower and even a vast amount of hax.
Powers/Abilities
With Nenya, Galadriel is ridiculously powerful. Or, as Gimli once described her "An Elf Witch of Terrible Power". While Galadriel herself may not be the most versatile spell caster in fiction, she makes up for it with tremendous firepower. Here is a list of Galadriel's Powers and Abilities.
Telepathy: Galadriel is a powerful telepath. She is capable of reading the minds of those she sees and even drives them insane just by looking at them. She can even communicate with their minds over great distances.
Telekinesis: Galadriel is telekinetic also. She is able to manipulate objects and even living beings with a hand gesture. What's more, Galadriel can destroy armies of Goblins, Orcs and Uruk-Hai with her telekinetic power
Clairvoyance: Galadriel is able to gain information on a living beings strengths and weaknesses. In a sense, she doesn't need prep time to even take down anybody, she already knows how to beat them.
Time Vision: Galadriel can see the Past, Present and Future events. This allows Galadriel to gain information before or even a conflict started. Hence, the reason why Galadriel is virtually impossible to surprise XD!!!
Mind Resistance: Galadriel is virtually impossible to attack mentally. In fact, it is demonstrated that Sauron, who is the most powerful telepath of Middle-Earth, failed to even perceive her mind.
Weather Manipulation: Galadriel can manipulate Weather to create Storms and Tornadoes. In a sense, she is very similar to Thor...... without Mjolnir :D!!!

Time Manipulation: With Nenya, Galadriel can freeze time in a huge area.
Power Mode: In the Peter Jackson films, Galadriel can go into a state that allows her to unleash even more power. It makes Galadriel much more intimidating to her enemies and even scare some of the most strong willed beings of Middle-Earth. I would not want to experience it, Galadriel alone is already insanely powerful at this point XD!!!

Of course, Galadriel once had "The Light of Earendil". This Phial allows those who wield it ward off evil beings. Galadriel in particular used it against Sauron, which banished him from the physical world.
Power Levels/Skills
Being one of the oldest beings of Arda, Galadriel has a mountain load of knowledge in virtually everything in the Middle-Earth Lore. Even so, she is far older than the Order of Istari, and is even older than the events of the First Age of Middle-Earth.... This makes Galadriel over ten thousand years old!!!!
Galadriel's skills as a magic user is unrivaled. Her mastery of magic is legendary and Galadriel herself is greatly admired and feared for her power.
In terms of power scaling, Galadriel easily scales to Sauron, who, she is evenly matched with him in terms of power. Sauron is capable of wiping out an entire battlefield with a shower of meteors and even decimate entire armies with the flick of his hand. However, while it is true Galadriel hasn't shown as much feats as Sauron demonstrated, it is already established she is capable of producing equally impressive feats.
Bottom line, Galadriel's power level is ridiculous. But the most amazing thing about Galadriel? She gave Gimli three strands of her golden hair......... Lucky Dwarf :D!!!! Not relevant to the category but, since Gimli was mesmerized by her look, I say Galadriel used a spell that made Gimli from fearing her to loving her.... :D!!!
Feats for Galadriel
Of course, Galadriel's info needs to end with her impressive resume. While Galadriel is mainly a spectator of events, she does have a few feats that make her a powerhouse. Here is a list of feats achieved by Galadriel.
- Officially, and cleanly, banished Sauron from returning
- In the Battle for Middle-Earth 2 video Game, Galadriel destroys armies with little to no effort
- Has destroyed Dol Guldur, a Fortress that was amplified by Sauron's magic
- Gave the Fellowship numerous, and helpful gifts. Even though Aragorn was unable to get one because of the Evenstar XD!!!!
- Rescued Gandalf from the clutches of Sauron and his minions
- Froze time in an entire Forest
- Has officially, and cleanly, became virtually immune to Sauron's telepathic attacks. What is amazing here, Galadriel not only resisted this, she actually backfired and read Sauron's mind in the process............ What a badass
- Portrayed by Cate Blanchett
- Has one of the most adorable smiles in fiction
Weaknesses
While Galadriel is ridiculous for what she can do, there very, very few weaknesses to point out.
Firstly, in the Battle of Five Armies movie, after Galadriel banished Sauron, she was eventually exhausted afterwards. This means, should Galadriel spend too much energy, she becomes much weaker overtime.
Also, there is a reason why I skipped over stats for Galadriel. Why is that? She basically is featless in all regards. While her abilities make up for the drawback, Galdariel's stats are no better than a regular Elf. She has never been shown to have FTL speeds and superhuman strength or durability without her abilities.
Finally, Galadriel, as far as I know, has very limited equipment. She almost, if ever at all, never used a weapon in combat. She is primarily a magic user and that alone can make Galadriel a very, very vulnerable combatant in terms of pure hand to hand combat.
However, despite all of this, Galadriel is a powerful and majestic Elf. Clearly, nobody would dare to face the Lady of Lothlorien.
Kreia/Darth Traya
The Story of Kreia is quite complicated. Long Story Short, Kreia was once a Jedi Master who eventually turned to the Dark Side and became a Sith Lord during the events of the Dark Wars and The Old Republic Era.
Eventually, Kreia became one of the Ebon Hawk's crew, and, after an attack by a Republic Vessel, commandeered by Darth Sion and his fellow cronies, The Ebon Hawk, thanks to T3-M4, set a course for Peragus 2. Eventually, a fellow crewman, known as Meetra Surik, was revived after Kreia telepathically called to him. Afterwards, Kreia eventually met Meetra, who thought she was dead.
After planning for an escape from Peragus 2 and eventually, The Forces of the Dark Side, Kreia, Meetra Surik and their companions have traveled to Telos, only to find out that the only way to stop the Dark Side from killing off the last of the Jedi, Meetra must find all the Jedi Masters and ask for their aid to bring down Darth Sion, and Nihilus.
However, it is revealed that Kreia was once a Sith Master of Sion, thus, her actions in the story are more gray than clear cut. Over the course of the story, Kreia has guided Meetra through the Force and helped Meetra find all the Jedi Masters..... only to kill them off in order to save Meetra from death.
Afterwards, Kreia went to Malachor 5 and dueled Meetra. Eventually, Meetra defeats Kreia. In the aftermath of the duel, Kreia spoke to Meetra about the future of Meetra, Meetra's companions and even the future of the republic. And then Kreia died afterwards.
That, is a brief background of Kreia's role in the game, now, let's see what she can do.
Strength
Unfortunately, Kreia is lacking notable strength feats. That said, there are a couple of feats for Kreia that do make her quite superhuman
- Can wield Vibroblades with one hand
- Sliced multiple droids with just a vibroblade and eventually, a lightsaber
- Can cut through turrets using a Vibroblade
Speed
Speed, this is where Kreia get's badass. In terms of Speed, Kreia has a couple of feats that make her very fast in combat.
- Can match Meetra Surik's running speed. Meetra, even without the use of the Force, can dodge blaster fire from all directions
- Evenly matched with Meetra's combat speed, who also can take down multiple Lightsaber wielders at once using one Lightsaber in combat
- Ran from one side of a hallway to the other in mere seconds
- Has officially, and cleanly, sliced a Lightsaber wielder using a Vibroblade with such speed, the enemy was dead before they knew what happened
Durability
Kreia, like Strength, still suffers from less notable Durability feats. That said, she has a few Durability feats up her sleeve
- Survived not one but two shuttle crashes. The First time was by Turret Fire whereas the second was by a HK-50 unit firing a rocket launcher
- Has endured a dismemberment by Darth Sion and had the willpower to keep on
- Took multiple lightsaber slashes
- Was able to take a full on flamethrower blast that coated her entire body.
- Can keep fighting while being poisoned.
WeaponsKreia is armed with numerous weapons. Unfortunately, after her hand was cut off by Darth Sion, Kreia cannot use two handed weapons. That said, Kreia can still use blasters and even vibroblades, who she has used extensively in the game
Lightsaber
Of course, Kreia's signature weapon is the Lightsaber. An elegant weapon from a more civilized age, the Lightsaber is the standard weapon for both the Jedi and The Sith. Lightsabers are among one of the most powerful melee weapons in Star Wars, and they can cut through almost anything. At the hands of a skilled warrior, the Lightsaber can be used offensively and defensively.
Force Abilities/Powers

Without a doubt, Kreia's pride and joy in combat is her mastery of the Force. Kreia is a Jedi Consular in the Game description, which makes her extremely proficient with the ability to use the Force to devastating effects. While this also makes Kreia less effective in Melee combat compared to the Jedi Knight and Jedi Sentinel classes, she makes up for it with superior Force Capabilities. Here is a list of Kreia's Force Powers and, for the sake of this blog, I will include images of other characters using these abilities.
Force Push: One of the most basic Force Powers used by Jedi, Sith and other Force Sensitives, Force Push allows the user to push their enemies away for devastating effects. Sometimes, the Force Push can be used with greater power, resulting in groups of enemies being pushed away, resulting in either unconsciousness's or even death. In the case of Kreia, she can use an omidirectional Force Push known as Force Wave to push away everyone around her with tremendous power.
Force Pull: Another widely used ability. Force Pull is basically the opposite of Force Push except it pulls objects and enemies towards the user. At greater power levels, Force Pull can disarm enemies and even disarm groups of enemies at once.
Force Absorption: Force Absorption allows the User to absorb Force based attacks. In various Star Wars material, Force Absorption can make the user absorb the Force and fuel their Force Energy. This makes the ability an extremely powerful asset to any Force User since it allows them to redirect Force attacks with more energy.

Force Protection: Force Protection allows the User to become highly resistant to damage for a short period of time. However, in some instances, Force Protection lasts for about a minute or two and even can be used to prevent acidic rain from touching the User's body.
Force Heal: An extremely powerful ability, Force Heal is simple, it allows the User to regenerate their Stamina and Health to keep on fighting. While some Jedi use this ability while being stationary, a skillful Jedi can use this ability while moving, which can let them regenerate while on the run. However, with just a flick of a hand gesture, Kreia can use Force heal to heal herself and her allies in combat.
Force Valor: Force Valor increases the User's stats to greater heights. The Effects last for a short time though it does increase the overall effectiveness of the User's combat capabilities.
Force Block: Force Block allows the User to block Force attacks. This is very useful against another Force User because it can prevent the defender from being open to a kill shot.
Force Speed: Force Speed is an ability that allows the User to travel at Faster than the Eye can track speeds. It also increases the Combat speed for the User, giving them a huge advantage against an enemy who is significantly slower than them.
Force Jump: Force Jump allows the User to Jump very high and travel at long distances. A powerful Force Jump can allow the User to reach the top of a building and tall platforms.
Mind Trick: Mind Trick is an ability that allows the User to manipulate the minds of others. It can be used to allow the victim to obey commands or even Persuasion purposes. The effects last for a short time but it can give the User more time for options.
Force Vision: Force Vision allows the user to sense a presence with the Force. It can also give the user foresight, see the future and past, and even experience events that happened from light years away.
Force Sight: Force Sight is similar to Force Vision. However, this time, it allows the User to see anything using the Force. It can even prevent blindness and allows the User to see in extremely dark places.
Force Lightning/Storm: Force Lightning allows the User to project lightning from their finger tips. However, Kreia is able to use the more powerful Force Storm, which can destroy entire battalions of troops and droids with just a hand gesture.

Force Choke: Force Choke allows the user to choke their victims using the Force. In the case of Kreia, this ability can let her stall an opponent long enough for her allies to finish them off. This also results in the victim losing their life in the process.

Life Drain/Death Field: Life Drain allows the User to use the Force to drain the life of their victims. This ability also heals the user and has a very high damage output. Death field on the other hand is monstrously devastating. It not only drains the life of a single victim, it can also drain the lives of multiple victims at once. Oh, and Death Field can even heal immensely........ Badass :D
Force Fear/Insanity: Using the Force, A Jedi and a Sith are capable of causing fear to their victims. Insanity however can cause fear to a group of enemies at once. This allows the User to capitalize on the situation and finish off their opponent.

Force Stun/Stasis Field: Force Stun allows the User to stun their opponent. The most powerful version, Stasis Field, can stun groups of enemies at once.
Force Scream: Force Scream allows the User to use an enhanced scream to produce tremendous power. The Scream itself is omnidirectional though in the Knights of the Old Republic 2 game, it is a cone shaped blast.
Battle Meditation: Without a doubt, the most powerful ability for any Jedi or Sith who uses the force is Battle Meditation. Battle Meditation allows the User to bestow an Aura of Force Energy that boosts their combat potential to limitless heights. While Bastila Shan needed time to use this ability, Kreia can do so with just a thought. In terms of power, those who are under the effects of Battle Meditation will almost certainly win the fight.
Blaster Deflection: Without any form of weapons, the User can deflect blaster fire with a simple hand gesture.
Other Force Abilities
Kreia may use the Force in combat. However, she also uses the Force for.... surprising methods.
Lightsaber Manipulation: When Kreia eventually became Darth Traya (Well, she is Darth Traya all along hahaha), she unleashed her full potential and is able to conjure 3 lightsabers surrounding her. She can use them to clash at her opponents and, the lightsabers themselves are sentient. They are basically Flying Swords that move at will. She can also throw her lightsaber to her intended targets with tremendous accuracy
Telepathy: Kreia is one of the most powerful Telepaths in Star Wars. Her telepathy is unique, in that she can even cause her victims to go to sleep with just a thought and even revive them from conciousness. However, Kreia's main method of this ability is guiding Meetra from great distances using the Force. Kreia has even done this while lightyears away from her position to other characters.
Force Sight: Kreia can see things using the Force. She actually prefers seeing things using the Force over physical sight and has demonstrated to sense the presence of others. Which begs the question, when the Harbinger came to Peragus 2, and Kreia, Meetra and Atton came inside the ship, why didn't Kreia sense anyone onboard when all of a sudden, Dark forces came out of nowhere???? XD!!!
Time Vision: Kreia can see the Past, Present and Future. This allows her to be completely difficult to defeat with prep time because, well, Kreia already had prep time before the fight even started.
Force Bond: Force Bond is when Kreia and Meetra shared a special bond. This Bond has notable advantages such as increased experience gain and better team power. However, the drawback is that Force Bond also makes it that should Kreia be severely harmed, Meetra would be harmed also (Shown in a cutscene only but worth mentioning anyway XD!!!)
Health Regeneration: Kreia can regenerate health during combat without the use of the force.
Force Regeneration: Force Regeneration is virtually identical to Health Regeneration. However, this time, Force Energy is regenerated. This actually makes it that the Force User can use large amounts of Force Energy in combat with almost an unlimited amount of time.
Skills
Kreia is one of the most powerful Force Users in existence. Her mastery of the Force is legendary, even for her time. While Kreia herself may seem like a frail old woman, her Willpower and her Force Mastery make up for it, and, of course, Kreia decieves her opponents everytime they underestimate her thanks to her old appearance.
It is also worth noting that Kreia is highly skilled with Lightsaber combat, training Meetra and Darth Sion to their full potential, shows how much knowledge Kreia has with Lightsabers
Feats for Kreia
Kreia, although optional in the game at certain points, still achieved quite alot in the story. Here are a couple of feats for Kreia/Darth Traya
- Officially, and cleanly, dominated Atton's mind numerous times, who, was difficult to read at first but eventually manipulated by Kreia overtime
- Helped Meetra Surik numerous times in achieving her goal..... Yes, Meetra is female in the canon story :D!!!
- Has trained the most powerful Sith Lords of their time
- Trained Meetra Surik to become the best fighter she could be
- Has manipulated Colonel Tobin, Hanharr and eventually, her former apprentice Darth Sion to do her dirty work.
- Defeated numerous enemies using her immense power
- Has officially, and cleanly, drained all life of Jedi Masters Vrook, Kavar and Zez-Kai Ell while saving Surik from execution. All three of these Jedi Masters used Force Absorption before the attack, and Kreia eventually bypassed it and drained them anyway.
- Voiced by Sara Kestelman
- Is in one of the greatest Star Wars Games ever made
Weaknesses
Despite Kriea's power, she is far from invincible. While it is true she is one of the most powerful Force Users in the Star Wars Lore, she has limitations that are quite easy to pinpoint.
Firstly, Kreia can still die from normal means of attacks, a very lucky blaster shot for instance would severely damage her or even kill her. Another thing to remember is that Kreia is no better in stats than a regular Jedi and Sith. Meaning, she usually relies on her Force Abilities in order to do much.
Also, Kreia died at the end of the Game. Meaning, afterwards, only the game itself demonstrated her true power at her finest. The point is, Kreia is limited to just one game in terms of Feats and accomplishments.
Also, Kreia's one hand disadvantage is huge against someone who can dual wield weapons. While Kreia is incredibly fast thanks to Force Speed improving her combat reflexes, should someone still outspeed her, she will be overpowered.
Still, despite all of her flaws, Kreia is one of the most powerful characters in Star Wars. Her powerset is so great, It would be unwise to take her head on in combat. Bottom line, Kreia is a great character :D!!!
Summary
Galadriel
Advantages
- Destroys Kreia in terms of Raw Power
- Being over Ten thousand Years Old or even Older, Galadriel absolutely obliterates Kreia in terms of Experience
- While very straightforward with her abilities, Galadriel literally is more than capable of simply nullifying all of Kreia's Force abilities
- Will not be affected by Kreia's telepathic abilities because Galadriel has a very powerful resistance to mind attacks
- Her telepathy surpasses Kreia's telepathy immensely
- Is literally, a far more interesting character
Disadvantages
- No physical Stats, which makes Kreia better in terms of Stat feats
- No weapons compared to Kreia, who can use a limitless amount of blades, blasters and lightsabers in her inventory
- Less abilities
Kreia/Darth Traya
Advantages
- Better feats for Physical Stats compared to Galadriel
- Carries more weapons and equipment for combat
- More abilities
Disadvantages
- Utterly hopeless against Galadriel's sheer Power
- Kreia's telepathic abilities aren't going to do jack against Galadriel because Galadriel is virtually immune to Mind attacks
- Will unable to see Nenya on Galadriel's hand, which is her source of power
- All of Kreia's abilities are going to be either outclassed or outright nullified by Galadriel's Magic.
- Is laughably destroyed in terms of experience since Galadriel is over ten thousand years old.
The Verdict
This match up is particularly interesting in a sense both Galadriel and Kreia are quite similar in some regards. However, in terms of results, Galadriel not only wins this fight, SHE DESTROYS KREIA BY A LANDSLIDE!!!!
The only advantages Kreia has here is her physical stat feats and having more weapons. I do believe that Galadriel doesn't have alot of physical stats to compete with Kreia since, well, Galadriel's role in The Lord of The Rings is mainly for guidance whereas Kreia has shown to have more physical feats through combat. However, in order to get to Galadriel, Kreia has to first overpower Galadriel using her Force Powers..... That will not happen.
Firstly, while Kreia is quite a powerful Force User, and I do believe she has more abilities, Galadriel........ Just has much better firepower than Kreia in everyway. A simple hand gesture from Galadriel would not only defeat Kreia, it will disintergrate her to dust. That alone ends the fight very quickly.
Then there is the argument about Force Absorption. Will it help Kreia prevent and even absorb Galadriel's magic? Nope. Because, in the Star Wars Lore, Force Absorption can only take a set amount of power before being depleted. And since Galadriel's power is already too much, Kreia's Force Absorption effects are outright nullified the moment Galadriel's magic hits Kreia.
And Secondly, in terms of experience, Galadriel is just on a whole other level. Kreia, is a very old woman, and quite experienced with the Force and Saber Combat. But, Galadriel is over Ten Thousand Years old........ That alone is just way too obvious on who is more experienced with abilities.
And lastly, Kreia's Telepathy is useless against Galadriel because, if Galadriel resisted telepathic effects from Sauron mentally, I have no doubt in my mind that she would outright prevent or even laugh at Kreia's attempts to make her sleep......
So, in what has to be one of the most lopsided match ups to date, Galadriel will be "Glad" to take the victory thanks to her Power, Abilities and Experience
