Season 3: Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones) vs Rick O'Connell (The Mummy)

Greetings and welcome to another edition of my "Who Would Win" Series and it is going to be Indiana Jones from, well, Indiana Jones, vs Rick O'Connell from The Mummy Series.

On a forthright, I will only use the movies as the main source of info for this fight, as they are literally the most popular versions of both characters.

For this fight, I will of course go through the base stats, weaponry, equipment, skills, feats and finally, who I personally believe would win this match up.

So, without further ado, let's begin

Indiana Jones

Dr Henry Walton "Indiana Jones Jr", also known as "Indy" is the titular protagonist of the Adventure series "Indiana Jones".

In his early years, Indy became a boy scout and even went as far as to retrieve ancient relics of the past. This also led him into alot of mischief from treasure hunters who so happen to try and reach their goals before Indy could.

Throughout the years, Indy has grown into a more mature, more creative and finally, a more determined adventurer.

Over the course of his adventures, Indy has survived almost impossible odds such as facing armies of Nazis and retrieve the Ark of the Covenant, taking on The Thuggee Cult to retrieve one of the Sankara Stones, even gone as far as to help his father Henry Jones Sr to stop the Nazis from taking the Holy Grail.

At one point, Indy met Marion Ravenwood, and both of them eventually had a son named Mutt Williams. And, with help from his family and Harold Oxley, returned the mysterious Crystal Skull to an Alien Race in South America (Seriously, Aliens in Indiana Jones? XD!!!)

Afterwards, after a very lengthy time out, Indy married Marion Ravenwood and the rest is "History".

That is a straightforward background of Indiana Jones. Now, let's see what the iconic adventurer is capable of.

Strength

Indiana Jones is peak human at best. Thankfully, due to feats from the movies, there are a couple of moments that make Indy quite strong.

  • Has punched numerous soldiers regularly, some of which have been flying a couple of feet backwards
  • Pushed multiple ancient walls to reveal passage ways
  • Threw soldiers and cultists around. Sometimes, Indy throws them off to their death.
  • Twisted a large Thuggee's foot. Indy was also severely weakened while doing this.
  • Helped Willie pull back Short Round back to their mine cart while going at high speeds.

Speed

Speed, this is where Indy shines. Here is a list of feats done by Indy.

  • Has outpaced a huge boulder rolling towards him
  • Ran across rooms while avoiding gunfire
  • During his boy scout years, Indy has ran and jump ontop of a train while retreating from Treasure Hunters
  • Has rolled under Ancient Doors in the nick of time unscathed
  • Avoided the three booby traps guarding the Holy Grail
  • Avoided an Immortal Knight's Sword Swing
  • Has jumped across vehicles
  • Jumped from a Nazi tank off a cliffside at the very last moment
  • Managed to escape from multiple temples crumbling down. One of them actually held an Alien Space Ship

Durability

Indiana Jones is quite durable for human standards. Here is a list of Durability feats for Indy

  • In every adventure he has embarked, Indy always gets multiple blows from his enemies. Some of them are over 300 pounds, and they punch so hard, they overpower Indy. Thankfully, Indy has survived all encounters and afterwards, is still able to keep going like it was nothing
  • Had his chest dug into by Mola Ram's hands
  • Was shot while hijacking a Nazi Truck and kept going
  • Survived a huge drop to the ground after escaping from a plane using a inflatable lifeboat. Theoretically, if Indiana Jones landed from such a great height, he would have died from the amount of gravity force generated. Miraculously, Indy, Willie and Short Round survived with no signs of injury
  • Had his voodoo puppet pierced multiple times, causing extreme pain to Indy. All areas were targeting vital nerves, yet Indy managed to muster the willpower to keep going. What a badass!!!
  • Was burnt by Short Round, removing Indy from his trance like state. Amazingly, Indy did not suffer any burns in his body.
  • Fell 20 ft to the ground and survived, which, from that height, can break human bones. Indy did not suffer any fractures or broken bones.
  • Was scraping the ground while holding onto his whip in a attempt to hijack a Nazi Truck driving at full speed. Indy did not suffer any scratch marks at all

Equipment

Of course, Indy has used multiple tools and weapons at his disposal in the past. Here is a list of Indy's most well known equipment.

The Whip

The Whip: The signature tool of Indiana Jones. A bullwhip made of long braided strapped leather, Indy uses the whip to maximum effect. It is used for both combat and exploration, as Indy can use the whip to solve puzzles, disarm enemies and, if he wanted to, hang them to death. And of course, The Whip is used to latch onto ceiling hooks or chandeliers for Indy to swing across at great distances, and it is also great for climbing.

Bottom line, The Whip is suited for any situation

Indiana using his revolver

Pistols: Indiana Jones has used multiple pistols during his adventures, most of them with different variations. However, despite all of this, the pistols still pack a punch.

Indiana using a machete

Machete: Indy has used a Machete for close range combat. A Machete is a large knife used for cutting down large bushes, tree branches and of course, combat.

Indy using two buckets while fighting a Thuggee
Environmental Tools: Indiana Jones uses anything and everything to his advantage in combat. Meaning, Indy uses the environment to his advantage, making him quite a crafty opponent to go up against

Skills

Indiana Jones is a highly resourceful and creative adventurer. Using his mind over physical force to win scenarios for the most part, Indy can accomplish wonders.

Outside of his creativity, Indy is, obviously, extremely intelligent. Since, well, he is a Professor in the field of Archaeology. His extensive knowledge of the Ancient World is virtually unrivaled, making Indiana Jones one of the top minds of the field.

Combat wise, Indy is also quite efficient. During his days as a boy scout, Indy has learned multiple ways of survival and defensive combat. As mentioned before, Indy can use the environment to his advantage for any situation at hand.

Finally, Indiana Jones is also a superb navigator, able to pin point locations directly.

Feats for Indiana Jones

Being the titular protagonist, Indiana Jones has a chunk load of feats for his resume. Here are a list of feats for the legendary adventurer

  • Has officially, and cleanly, survived all of his adventures that involved supernatural elements and Aliens
  • Defeated Mola Ram and the Thuggee, and even returned one of the Sankara Stones back to a village.
  • Survived the Ark of the Covenant's Deadly Trap by closing his eyes.
  • Escaped from Castle Brunwald with his father
  • Successfully completed the three paths test to reach the Holy Grail
  • Has, I kid you not, defeated the Immortal Knight by dodging a single sword swing and doing nothing else XD!!!!
  • Chose the correct Holy Grail wisely, this is very important, because if you chose poorly, you will be turned into a skeleton, which also means, you die.
  • Survived a nuclear explosion by hiding inside a fridge..... Logic is flawed sometimes XD!!
  • Helped Marion, Mutt and Oxley return the Crystal Skull
  • Portrayed by Harrison Ford
  • His father is played by Sean Connery
  • Has possibly the coolest adventurer outfit aside from Lara Croft
  • His theme music is a masterpiece

Weaknesses

Indiana Jones hates Snakes!!!!

Indiana Jones is, well, a human. Thus, he has the same vulnerabilities as any human would. A well placed head shot would definitely kill him if given the chance.

In terms of hand to hand combat, while Indiana Jones is good, in most cases, Indy is overpowered by those who are physically superior to him. This makes it that should someone be stronger than Indiana Jones get close, they would have a huge advantage over Indy, even killing him if the right circumstances come into play

Also, Indiana Jones' accomplishments required extensive help from others. For instance, had Short Round not stop the Mahajara from piercing Indiana's Voodoo doll, Indy would have died by getting crushed by a rock crusher.

What's more, Indiana Jones.... hates snakes....... Yes, an adventurer who expects so much danger, is afraid of snakes...... Talk about an embarrassing flaw XD!!!

Still, despite all of this, Indiana Jones remains to this day, one of the most iconic characters in all of fiction.

Rick O'Connell

Richard "Rick" O'Connell is a former French Foreign Legion Colonel and adventurer. After a battle in the ruined city of Hamunaptra, O'Connell was one of the very few survivors of his battalion.

During his escape, O'Connell discovered that something was "Underneath that Sand", which, forced him to leave the ancient city and return to Cairo.

Unfortunately, three years later, O'Connell was arrested after causing a bar fight with a bumbling man named Jonathan who stole his "Map of Hamunaptra". This in turn created a strange twist of events.

Jonathan and his sister named Evelyn decided to visit O'Connell at his prison in order to ask for his help in finding the lost city of Hamunaptra. With a promise kept that O'Connell will be released in exchange, the trio eventually embarked on an adventure of a lifetime.............. Until things turned out for the worst.

After surviving a night raid attack by the Medjai, and crossing an endless sea of sands, O'Connell and his companions eventually reached Hamunaptra. Afterwards, a strange turn of events occurred.

O'Connell's team managed to find the sarcophagus of High Priest Imhotep, Keeper of the Dead, while the rival team led by Americans found the Book of the Dead. One night, a foolish Evelyn decided to steal the Book of the Dead from the Americans and read the book in Egyptian language. This in turn awoke Imhotep.

Following these events, O'Connell and his team survived an encounter with Imhotep, his minions, and his love known as Anck-Su-Namun. Eventually, O'Connell married Evelyn and had a child named Alex.

Unfortunately, even after a moment of peace, the O'Connell's had to go through another round with Imhotep and Anck-Su-Namun once more. This time, Alex got into more trouble by accidentally wearing the bracelet of the Anubis, causing another war between the O'Connell family and Imhotep's followers. Thankfully, the O'Connell's once again defeated Imhotep and his followers and also, the legendary Scorpion King.

After a moment of peace (again) The O'Connell's now had another fight at their hands (seriously, this family never seemed to take a break XD!!!) As Alex, during an expedition in China, once again caused more trouble by unearthing the Dragon Emperor, who was resurrected by evil doers. This in turn caused havoc in China, as the Dragon Emperor and his followers attempted to conquer the world........ Then those plans failed, as the O'Connell's stopped the Emperor's ambitions dead on his tracks (No pun intended XD!!!)

Finally, after all of that, The O'Connell's spent the rest of their lives in peace.

That is a detailed and straightforward background of Rick' O'Connell and the events of The Mummy Series (seriously, it is possibly the longest background I ever did so far XD!!!). Now, let's see what this adventurer is capable of.

Strength

O'Connell punching a possessed beggar towards a light post

Rick O'Connell, in terms of strength, is a powerhouse. While technically human, O'Connell is far from human standards. Here is a list of strength feats for O'Connell

Rick throwing a chair with one arm
  • Has overpowered a Medjai Warrior, who are very well trained warriors in their own right.
  • Threw around multiple possessed civilians while on a car. One of them was punched by Rick with such force, he was smashed against a light post.
  • Threw a chair towards Beni with just one arm.
  • Can swing an Egyptian Sword with such force, Rick can hack through mummies like butter
  • Made Imhotep bleed using only his punches. Though to be clear, Imhotep lost his powers before this encounter happened.
  • Kicked through a locked door in order to save Evelyn from Imhotep
  • Was strong enough to even pierce through the Dragon Emperors Chest with the sacred dagger. This is also significant as the Dragon Emperor was wearing armor as well.
  • Broke through Imhotep's Weapons using his own Egyptian Axe

Speed

Rick avoiding gunfire from the Medjai

Rick O'Connell is very fast. This is a handful of notable feats for his Speed.

  • Avoided gunfire on a regular basis. Most of his enemies are dead on accurate since they can shoot down small targets at over 400 meters from their own position with tremendous accuracy.
  • Has outran Imhotep's Imperial Guard, who are actually much quicker than a human
  • Caught a thrown knife and an Egyptian Asp in a time span of 4 seconds apart.
  • Is quick enough to shoot down a incoming Imperial Guard Mummy while on a bus.
  • Has matched The Dragon Emperor's Attack Speed, who is a master in martial arts combat
  • Ran away from a large swarm of scarabs, locusts and Imhotep's possessed followers
  • Escaped from a crumbling Hamunaptra, which also included falling walls, closing doors and roofs falling apart
  • Avoided attacks from the Scorpion King while running, dodging and jumping all at once
  • Escaped from Ahm Shere, which included the temple being sucked into the sand.
  • Attacked multiple Mummies all at once in a time span of just 20-40 seconds

Durability

Now, Durability is one of Rick O'Connell's strongest stats. What's more, Rick has endured a crap ton of stuff that surprisingly, would kill a regular human instantly. Here is a list of Rick's amazing Durability.

  • Has been briefly overpowered by a Medjai Warrior for about 8 seconds, then Rick managed to kill him anyway XD!!!!
  • Was uppercutted at 12 ft into the air by Imhotep. This is amazing, as Rick not only survived the attack but if a human were to take the same uppercut, they would either be decapitated or have their neck severed from their spine.
  • Took a dagger wound through the chest. Rick was dying though his willpower managed to help him live through the ordeal. It is also worth noting that the cold ice from the Himalayas delayed the amount of blood loss, giving Rick enough time for a better recovery, which, of course Rick was healed eventually.
  • Took multiple punches from Imhotep, who, again, can uppercut Rick at 12 ft into the air. However, Imhotep is also strong enough to throw Rick across a room with just one arm.
  • Took multiple attacks from the Dragon Emperor, who can break through stone walls and kick Chinese Fireworks.

Weapons

Rick and his equipment

Rick O'Connell is armed with a variety of weapons. Here is a list of weapons used by Rick O'Connell

Rick and his Revolvers
Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873/ Twin Revolvers: The Signature weapon (or weapons) of Rick O'Connell. The Revolvers are powerful handguns with great damage potential. Rick can use two Revolvers at once with tremendous accuracy.

Colt M1911

Colt M1911: Rick also used two Colt M1911's during the Battle of Hamunaptra. The Colt has a larger magazine clip than the Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 and they also pack greater firepower.

Colt M1911A1
Colt M1911A1: Virtually identical to the previous model. Rick used two M1911A1 pistols during the events of The Mummy Returns

Lebel M1886 Rifle: Rick used the French Lebel Rifle during his time as a French Foreign Legionnaire Colonel. The Lebel Rifle is extremely powerful and has a magazine size of eight rounds before reloading. The Lebel Rifle is also very effective for long range sniping, as Rick managed to shoot down Medjai Warriors at a distance of over 500 meters

Lebel M1886 Rifle

Winchester Model 1897 Shotgun: One of Rick O'Connell's signature firearms, the Winchester Model 1897 is the answer to raw fire power and close range mayhem. However, surprisingly, Rick can deal devastating results with the Shotgun at long range as well.

Winchester Model 1897

Winchester Model 1887 Shotgun: Virtually identical to the 1897 model, this shotgun is used by Rick during the events of The Mummy Returns.

Winchester Model 1887

Sawed-off Shotgun
Sawed-off Shotgun: While attempting to rescue Alex, Rick O'Connell used a Sawed off Shotgun to shoot down two Pygmy cannibals. In terms of capabilities, The Sawed off Shotgun may lack range but the damage potential is huge. A full blast can literally split a human in half

PPSh-41 Thompson Sub machine Gun: A powerhouse firearm with a huge magazine size and an incredible fire rate, The Thompson Sub machine Gun sprays a rain of bullets at tremendous velocity.

PPSh-41 Thompson

Sten Mk 11: The Sten Mk 11 is a sub machine gun used by Rick during the final battle against the Dragon Emperor and his army. The Sten Mk 11 has less damage output than the Thompson though it makes up for it for it's greater accuracy and better recoil reduction.

Sten Mk 11

Rick igniting his dynamite

Dynamite: Rick O'Connell has used dynamite to, well, create explosive results. The blast radius of the dynamite is surprisingly big, as a single blast managed to created a blocked entrance in the Tomb of Horus beneath Hamunaptra.

Egyptian Sword: Rick used an ancient Egyptian Sword while rescuing Evelyn from Imhotep and his minions. The Sword is extremely sharp, capable of slicing through the Mummies like butter.

Rick and the Egyptian Sword

Egyptian Battle Axe: In the Mummy Returns, Rick has used a Battle Axe to fight a mortal Imhotep. Eventually, Rick used two Battle Axes with great efficiency
Egyptian Battle Axe

Skills

Being a well trained soldier, Rick O'Connell is a powerhouse in combat. His military skills, and his experience in his adventures showcases just how skilled, and resourceful Rick O'Connell is capable of.

Of course, Rick is a superb marksman and a very skilled hand to hand combatant. What's more, aside from his skills in combat, Rick is also intelligent, as he is the one who took Evelyn, Jonathan and a Jailor to Hamunaptra using his own memory.

Rick is also very good at solving puzzles. While his wife Evelyn usually does the brain power, Rick is certainly capable of achieving great results should the situation demand it.

Feats for Rick O'Connell

Being the main protagonist of the Mummy Trilogy, Rick O'Connell has a fair share of feats that make him a badass. Here is a list of feats achieved by the adventurer

  • Has officially, and cleanly, defeated Imhotep.
  • Killed numerous Mummies all by himself while rescuing Evelyn
  • Killed multiple Medjai Warriors during the Night Raid on the Boat
  • Has, I kid you not, overpowered a blood lusted Dragon Emperor in a fist fight. This is also crazy since the Emperor is played by Jet Li, an accomplished martial artist.
  • Killed an Imperial Guard Mummy by plucking his eyeballs out, which resulted in the Mummy getting killed after the bus rammed through a low level bridge
  • Killed The Scorpion King
  • Took down multiple Chinese Soldiers
  • Portrayed by Brendan Fraser
  • Eventually lived a happy life after the events of the trilogy for eternity.

Weaknesses

O'Connell, while very good at what he does, is simply a human being in the end. His vulnerabilities are exactly human, and he would certainly would have died if he did not have help from his companions.

What's more, despite saying he has defeated the same mummy twice, Rick actually never defeated Imhotep alone. The first time was because Imhotep was turned mortal after Evelyn read the book of Amun-Ra out loud. If this never happened, Rick would certainly die from Imhotep.  The second time was the result of Imhotep simply committing suicide after Anck-Su-Namun refused to help him up from the abyss of dead souls......... This means, Rick never beaten Imhotep at his maximum potential.

What's more, Rick may be intelligent and crafty, though his approach to combat is simply gunning through his enemies to win. While Rick is able to play smart, his attempts to escape are usually stopped after he reaches a dead end or is outnumbered.

Finally, with regards to his fight with the Dragon Emperor, Rick required special circumstances to kill him permanently. Rick needed a sacred dagger to take the Emperor down. What's more, Alex helped Rick kill the Emperor by stabbing him from behind with a broken piece of the dagger.

Basically, most of Rick's feats required help from others and prep time in order to successfully defeat his powerful opponents.

However, despite his flaws, Rick O'Connell is a monster in combat. Rick is badass, funny, and above all, a great character

Summary

Indiana Jones

Advantages
  • Far superior Speed
  • Much more experienced than Rick
  • Is much more creative than Rick, since Indy can use the environment to his advantage whereas Rick usually goes for a more straight forward approach
  • Has taken down foes who have the same capabilities as Rick O'Connell such as more firearms, greater physicality and better trained
  • The Whip will disarm Rick O'Connell, which can also mean that Indy can exploit a huge window of opportunity to finish off Rick with a kill shot
  • Better quick draw speed

Disadvantages
  • Not quite as strong and durable as Rick O'Connell
  • Should Rick get in close range, Indiana Jones is dead, since he would be overpowered by Rick's combat skills
  • Less trained in combat compared to Rick O'Connell
  • Far less weapons than Rick O'Connell's arsenal

Rick O'Connell

Advantages
  • Stronger than Indiana Jones
  • More durable than Indiana Jones
  • Better trained than Indiana Jones
  • More weapons

Disadvantages

  • Outright crushed in terms of speed
  • While Rick is better trained, his approach to combat is very straight forward compared to Indiana Jones, who is more creative and uses the environment to his advantage
  • Less experienced than Indiana Jones
  • While Rick has experienced a lot of crazy stuff, he has never faced anything like the Whip. Which can disarm Rick from his weapons entirely.
  • Surprisingly, Indiana Jones beats Rick O'Connell's Quick Draw Speed

The Verdict

Indiana Jones vs Rick O'Connell is one of the closest contests of "Who Would Win". Both adventurers are incredibly good at what they do. Amazingly, both sides have very different advantages from one another, making it very interesting as a result. Now, let's look at the stats.

In terms of physical Stats, I believe that Rick O'Connell is the superior combatant in terms of both Strength and Durability. While Indy is good, Rick has done numerous Strength feats that make him stronger than Indy. What's more, in terms of Durability, Rick has survived unbelievable events that would otherwise kill a regular human. Indiana Jones on the other hand has only survived more realistic events like getting punched regularly by humans and 300 pound guys

However, despite this, Indy has the far greater speed. While Rick is fast, Indy is very fast, as he can outrun rolling boulders, avoid gunfire, jump across vehicles and even avoided death at the last moment when he was on top of a Nazi tank falling off a cliff side. So speed definitely goes to Indiana Jones

In terms of weapons, Rick destroys Indiana Jones. Rick is armed with numerous weapons whereas Indiana Jones very rarely carries a large amount of weapons at his disposal. This allows Rick to have more options for combat and greater versatility...... But, we go into the trump card in the room: The Whip

Indiana Jones' whip is without a doubt, the most significant factor in the weapons department. The whip is actually very versatile, and if Indiana Jones used it on Rick, he is either disarmed from his own weapons or he would be immobilized. This in turn can open a killshot for Indiana Jones.

However, what ultimately seals the deal for this fight is their approach to combat. Rick O'Connell is more straight forward with his approach, though he has been shown to play smart like his time with the Scorpion King and Imhotep's Imperial Guards. However, Indiana Jones once again beats Rick in this category.

Remember, Indiana Jones can use the environment to his advantage, and he can use anything as a weapon. This also helps that Indiana Jones becomes more unpredictable to Rick O'Connell, making him less likely to get hurt in the process.

What's more, it is very likely that Indiana Jones would avoid a straight up fight against Rick, and attempt to outsmart him via creativity and underhanded tactics. This in my opinion is why I personally think Indiana Jones would win this fight in the long run.

But what about Rick's skills and experience? Well, while Rick is better trained and has experienced fantastical events, Indiana Jones has fought guys who were better trained, has experienced fantastical events, and even fought guys who were physically stronger and were equally as smart as Indy himself. It also helps that Indy has fought guys with greater firepower before, so really, in the end, Rick O'Connell has the same capabilities as what Indiana Jones has fought before.

And finally, Indiana Jones could simply do this at the start of the fight

Meaning, it is likely Indiana Jones would shoot first anyway. Which also begs the question, is Rick O'Connell quick enough to match this draw speed? Actually, no. Indiana Jones' draw speed is equally as quick as a western standoff cowboy, and these guys can shoot a bullet in a quarter of a second. Rick has never shown any feat that can match this level of speed.

So, thanks to his creativity, speed, quick draw speed, experience and Harrison Ford, I believe that Indiana Jones will win this match up.

The Winner is Indiana Jones

Next Time On Who Would Win.........

Theoretical Scenarios: Could Akame "Kill" Wolverine?

Greetings and Welcome to a new edition of my "Theoretical Scenarios" and it is going to involve Akame from Akame Ga Kill and Wolverine from Marvel.

This is basically a "What if this happened" case when a character successfully, or unsuccessfully assassinates the intended target. This edition will mainly focus on the question "Could Akame Kill Wolverine".

To spice things up, I decided to give Akame both her Murasame and Kiriichimonji to broaden the question and to make a definitive answer.

As for Wolverine, he will be standing still for the entirety of the event.

So, without further ado, let's start with the effects of Akame's Swords.

Akame's Swords

Akame has used two swords in her lifetime (Three if you count Esdeath's Rapier during their final fight).

Murasame "The One-Cut Killer Blade"

Murasame: Akame wields the Murasame, aka "The One-Cut Killer Blade". This legendary weapon is so deadly that if it ever grazed a living being, a curse will flow around their body, stopping their heart in seconds. Also, as it's name suggests, it can kill anything it touches with a single stroke. However, while extremely powerful, the Murasame's effect does not affect undead beings. That said, it is still able to kill the undead via normal sword strikes.

Of course, Akame can trigger Murasame's Trump Card "Ennoodzuno" also known as  "Little War Horn"

Akame in her "Little War Horn" State

This trump card is used when Akame cut's herself with Murasame, resisting the poisonous curse, and allows her to feel all the guilt she has wrought towards her victims. Also, Akame's stats are vastly improved, making this trump card an extremely powerful state.

In the manga, the effects of Little War Horn are different. Akame stated to Tatsumi that in order to use Little War Hon, one must discard their humanity and embrace their inner demons

Akame Wielding Kiriichimonji
Kiriichimonji: Kiriichimonji is a powerful sword previously used by Akame. This sword is so powerful, it completely prevents the victim from healing their wounds permanently.

So now we know about Akame's Main Weapons for the Scenario. Let's look at Wolverine

Wolverine/Logan

Logan, aka "Wolverine" is one of the most iconic superheroes in existence. Of course, being a superhero, Logan has a powerful "Super Power" and that is his "Healing Factor". This healing factor is one of the most powerful in the Marvel Universe, and Wolverine has survived countless ordeals because of it. With a list of feats that rival the pages of four Goosebumps Books, Wolverine's Healing Factor doesn't disappoint.

Here are a handful of some of Wolverine's best feats with regards to his healing factor

  • Takes Bladed Weapons all over his body and heals them completely in under three seconds
  • Took multiple attacks from Thor, who is literally a casual Planet Buster.
  • Took a full on Nuclear Blast and was reduced to a Skeleton, Wolverine completely regenerated in a matter of minutes.
  • Has taken Energy Attacks from the likes of Cyclops, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Thor, Psylocke, Sentinels and Magneto.
  • Had his skin ripped off, only to heal right back
  • Had his internal organs get completely destroyed and are eventually grown back to normal in seconds.

 Adamantium Skeleton

Wolverine, after being experimented by the Weapon X Project, has an Adamantium Skeleton. Adamantium is one of, if not the strongest metal in the Marvel Universe. It is virtually indestructible and gives Wolverine a huge level of Durability. It is worth noting that the Adamantium Skeleton, depending on which version you take, emits dangerous levels of Poison that will ultimately break down Logan's body. Thankfully, Logan has his healing factor to counteract this.

The Verdict

So, we have reached the finish line (Yeah, this is brief but oh well XD) and finally, "Could Akame Kill Wolverine"? Well, In my honest opinion, there are a few things to consider

It is worth noting that Wolverine's Adamantium Skeleton would make it impossible for Akame to slice off his limbs....... But Akame has other methods to attack Wolverine.

Should Akame slice at Logan's skin with Murasame, the Murasame Curse..... Will work on him. However, the catch here is that while the Curse will work, Logan's heart can regenerate itself...... This is where things get dire for Akame.

Because of this, I believe that the Murasame blade would not be a good idea for Akame to effectively put down Logan for good.......... But, we have one more sword to go through: Kiriichimonji.

Remember, this sword allows Akame to stop the healing process of her victims. But would it work on Wolverine? My answer

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Kiriichimonji prevents the victim from healing, Wolverine is literally suffering from a sword strike like what any human would experience. While Logan is very tough, the amount of blood loss would ultimately kill him entirely. And Akame is not just striking Logan once, she can do something like this

While the Adamantium Skeleton would prevent Akame from slicing Wolverine into millions of pieces in just half a second, it also hurts Logan's chances here.

Because the healing factor helps Wolverine stop the Adamantium Poison, it's removal by Kiriichimonji's effects make it that Logan would most definitely die from the blade and the poison effect of the Adamantium.

So, with that considered, I believe that the answer to the question "Could Akame Kill Wolverine?" is a definite "YES!!!"

Akame has succeeded :D!!!!!!!!!!!
