Theoretical Scenarios: Could Akame "Kill" Wolverine?

Greetings and Welcome to a new edition of my "Theoretical Scenarios" and it is going to involve Akame from Akame Ga Kill and Wolverine from Marvel.

This is basically a "What if this happened" case when a character successfully, or unsuccessfully assassinates the intended target. This edition will mainly focus on the question "Could Akame Kill Wolverine".

To spice things up, I decided to give Akame both her Murasame and Kiriichimonji to broaden the question and to make a definitive answer.

As for Wolverine, he will be standing still for the entirety of the event.

So, without further ado, let's start with the effects of Akame's Swords.

Akame's Swords

Akame has used two swords in her lifetime (Three if you count Esdeath's Rapier during their final fight).

Murasame "The One-Cut Killer Blade"

Murasame: Akame wields the Murasame, aka "The One-Cut Killer Blade". This legendary weapon is so deadly that if it ever grazed a living being, a curse will flow around their body, stopping their heart in seconds. Also, as it's name suggests, it can kill anything it touches with a single stroke. However, while extremely powerful, the Murasame's effect does not affect undead beings. That said, it is still able to kill the undead via normal sword strikes.

Of course, Akame can trigger Murasame's Trump Card "Ennoodzuno" also known as  "Little War Horn"

Akame in her "Little War Horn" State

This trump card is used when Akame cut's herself with Murasame, resisting the poisonous curse, and allows her to feel all the guilt she has wrought towards her victims. Also, Akame's stats are vastly improved, making this trump card an extremely powerful state.

In the manga, the effects of Little War Horn are different. Akame stated to Tatsumi that in order to use Little War Hon, one must discard their humanity and embrace their inner demons

Akame Wielding Kiriichimonji
Kiriichimonji: Kiriichimonji is a powerful sword previously used by Akame. This sword is so powerful, it completely prevents the victim from healing their wounds permanently.

So now we know about Akame's Main Weapons for the Scenario. Let's look at Wolverine

Wolverine/Logan

Logan, aka "Wolverine" is one of the most iconic superheroes in existence. Of course, being a superhero, Logan has a powerful "Super Power" and that is his "Healing Factor". This healing factor is one of the most powerful in the Marvel Universe, and Wolverine has survived countless ordeals because of it. With a list of feats that rival the pages of four Goosebumps Books, Wolverine's Healing Factor doesn't disappoint.

Here are a handful of some of Wolverine's best feats with regards to his healing factor

  • Takes Bladed Weapons all over his body and heals them completely in under three seconds
  • Took multiple attacks from Thor, who is literally a casual Planet Buster.
  • Took a full on Nuclear Blast and was reduced to a Skeleton, Wolverine completely regenerated in a matter of minutes.
  • Has taken Energy Attacks from the likes of Cyclops, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Thor, Psylocke, Sentinels and Magneto.
  • Had his skin ripped off, only to heal right back
  • Had his internal organs get completely destroyed and are eventually grown back to normal in seconds.

 Adamantium Skeleton

Wolverine, after being experimented by the Weapon X Project, has an Adamantium Skeleton. Adamantium is one of, if not the strongest metal in the Marvel Universe. It is virtually indestructible and gives Wolverine a huge level of Durability. It is worth noting that the Adamantium Skeleton, depending on which version you take, emits dangerous levels of Poison that will ultimately break down Logan's body. Thankfully, Logan has his healing factor to counteract this.

The Verdict

So, we have reached the finish line (Yeah, this is brief but oh well XD) and finally, "Could Akame Kill Wolverine"? Well, In my honest opinion, there are a few things to consider

It is worth noting that Wolverine's Adamantium Skeleton would make it impossible for Akame to slice off his limbs....... But Akame has other methods to attack Wolverine.

Should Akame slice at Logan's skin with Murasame, the Murasame Curse..... Will work on him. However, the catch here is that while the Curse will work, Logan's heart can regenerate itself...... This is where things get dire for Akame.

Because of this, I believe that the Murasame blade would not be a good idea for Akame to effectively put down Logan for good.......... But, we have one more sword to go through: Kiriichimonji.

Remember, this sword allows Akame to stop the healing process of her victims. But would it work on Wolverine? My answer

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Kiriichimonji prevents the victim from healing, Wolverine is literally suffering from a sword strike like what any human would experience. While Logan is very tough, the amount of blood loss would ultimately kill him entirely. And Akame is not just striking Logan once, she can do something like this

While the Adamantium Skeleton would prevent Akame from slicing Wolverine into millions of pieces in just half a second, it also hurts Logan's chances here.

Because the healing factor helps Wolverine stop the Adamantium Poison, it's removal by Kiriichimonji's effects make it that Logan would most definitely die from the blade and the poison effect of the Adamantium.

So, with that considered, I believe that the answer to the question "Could Akame Kill Wolverine?" is a definite "YES!!!"

Akame has succeeded :D!!!!!!!!!!!
