Season 2: Iron Man (Marvel) vs Tatsumi (Akame Ga Kill)

Greetings and welcome to a new edition of my Who Would Win Series and it is going to be Iron Man from Marvel vs Tatsumi from Akame Ga Kill

In this particular match up, the blog itself is going to be quite different in a sense that both Iron Man and Tatsumi have very unique methods of combat between themselves.

For Iron Man, I will use images from the films but I will also composite his feats from the Comics as a source of reference to his capabilities.

As for Tatsumi, I will use images from the Akame Ga Kill Anime but like Iron Man, I will composite him. Tatsumi is more powerful in the manga than his anime version so in order to give Tatsumi the biggest boost to his power set, I must use the manga as the main source of info for him.

Also, I will be doing the base stats, weapons, armor capabilities, skills, feats and finally, who I personally believe will win this match.


So, without further ado, let's begin







Tony Stark/Iron Man

Anthony Edward Stark is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist who had very little signs of humility and responsibility. Tony at first cared only for two things: Fame and Wealth. Eventually, Tony became the Owner of Stark Industries, which was formed by his adoptive father Howard Stark. 

Stark Industries is responsible for manufacturing weaponry in a attempt to protect the world from Terrorism. Which, in actual fact, resulted in a more sinister situation.

One day, Tony was ambushed by a group of terrorists, and this resulted in him having a piece of shrapnel lodged into his chest. Luckily for Tony,a kind doctor named Yinsen planted a device on Tony's chest to save his life. 

Turns out, Tony was captured by the infamous terrorist group known as the "Ten Rings". The Ten Rings demanded Tony to create weapons of war for total domination. 

Tony, after much hesitation, accepted the proposal...... but, like a trickster he is, actually had a plan in mind. Tony and Yinsen decided to make a suit of armor that is capable of helping them both escape.

Eventually, the armor was made and Tony escaped but at the cost of Yinsen's life, who sacrificed himself to give Tony time to finish the armor's power system.

Afterwards, Tony was rescued and was sent home, only to realize that what he started created more trouble than good. The world was in more danger than ever before, so, Tony, feeling responsible, decided to take matters into his own hands. 

With his state of the art and cutting edge technology, Tony created a suit of armor that would help him achieve his goals. Eventually, he created suits of armor designed for specific purposes but has vowed to protect the innocent from danger.

Since then, Tony has become the iconic superhero known as "Iron Man" and, he even publicly admitted to be the Armored Avenger. Speaking of which, Tony joined the Avengers and has even joined numerous organizations to help protect the world from galactic threats.


That is a straightforward backstory of Iron Man. Now, let's see what he can do.




Armor Gallery

Tony Stark has a vast gallery of suits. Many of which have many specialties that provide Tony more options for any situation thrown at him. For the sake of this match up, I will only mention the most popular suits that are portrayed in the comics and the movies. Here is a list of some of Tony Stark's Suits.





Mark 1: The very first armor that Stark created, The Mark 1 armor is by far the most basic armor in his gallery. However, despite it's simplicity and less mobile capabilities, the Mark 1 Armor can still pack a punch. It is outfitted with Rockets, a  flamethrower and, in some versions of the comics, the iconic repulsor rays.











Mark 3: The Mark 3 Armor is the classic Armor used by Tony Stark. It surpasses the previous armors by up to 11 and has integrated an AI system to give Tony analysis of the situation at hand. It even provides Tony with exceptional air mobility and even improve his overall stats.










Bleeding Edge Armor: The signature armor of Tony Stark. The Bleeding Edge Armor is the answer to high tech firepower. It has improved capabilities from previous suits and even can provide Tony Stark with a healing factor. The Bleeding Edge Armor can also morph the limbs into numerous weapons like an Axe, a Sword and even a Shield for defense. 




Hulkbuster: One of the strongest armors in Tony Stark's gallery, the Hulkbuster is basically designed to tackle the Incredible Hulk. That said, the armor alone is still more than capable of amazing feats. While it is much slower than the slimmer suits, The Hulkbuster makes up for it with its amazing durability and strength.

Stealth Armor: The Stealth Armor is specifically designed for stealth and recon missions. It has the same capabilities as the Mark 3 armor except it also can camouflage. The camouflage is so good, it makes it that Tony himself is invisible.












Endo Sym Armor: The Endo Sym Armor is the most unique armor used by Tony Stark. What is interesting here is that the Endo Sym is actually a psionically controlled suit that gives Tony more unpredictability. It can absorb energy from electronics and even other armored suits and can also be summoned by Tony with a thought. Hence, it is virtually impossible to take the suit from Tony Stark should it merge with him. Oh, and Tony even created a resistant to sonic attacks that make the suit perfectly suited for combat in loud areas. Finally, the Endo Sym Armor can change it's size to make it even bulkier than ever such as turning into a "Endo Sym Hulkbuster"

Celestial Buster: The Celestial Buster is a powerhouse. This armor is designed to tackle Celestials, who are among the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. And, when fully powered by the Negative Zone, becomes an unstoppable force of tremendous power












Thor Buster: The Thor Buster is an armor created by Tony using the Asgardian Crystal to power up it's capabilities. As the name suggests, the Thor Buster is designed to tackle asgardians such as Thor himself and even let's Tony fly at light speeds.

















Stats

 
 



















Now we know what suits that Iron Man has used, let's look at their standard capabilities. For stats, each suit is different for their situation but, for the sake of this blog, I will include some of Iron man's incredible feats for his stats. First, let's look at his Strength feats.

 

Strength

• With his Mark  3 suit, Tony Stark can hold up a car.
• Can rip a plane in half
• Threw a helicopter towards another helicopter
• Punched criminals so hard they break through walls
• In the HulkBuster suit, Iron Man can stalemate Hulk's punches, which are powerful enough to create earthquakes and destroy mountains at base strength
• Stalemated Thor for a while in the Thor Buster suit. Thor is capable of destroying planets
• Made Sentry bleed. The Sentry is durable enough to survive black holes and even break weaponry on contact.
• Lifted a large building that was about to tumble down
• Can pull 5 battleships at once and move them quickly
• Has uppercutted the Hulk with such force, it knocked him out.

Speed/Flight Speed

Iron Man is iconically known for his flight. However, flight speed aside, Iron Man also has alot of speed feats in the ground and even at hand to hand combat. Here are a couple of feats for Iron Man's overall Speed.

• Flies at about Mach 10-20 speeds
• Can match Captain Marvel's Speed, who is able to go faster than the speed of sound and even light speed
• Matched Thor's Speed in both Travel and Combat. Thor is capable of fighting at multiple times the speed of light. Iron Man achieved this even without the Thor Buster
• Can travel around Earth in a matter of minutes
• Chased down Celestials. 
• Can match or even exceed Captain America's running speed.
• Can react to attacks from Spider Man, who has a spider sense that allows him to react to attacks from all directions thrown at him
• Can use Hundred Crack fists with such speed, it can go faster than the eye can track. Even Thor was caught off guard from them.

Durability

Ahhh, Durability. Iron Man's Durability is one of the best aspects of his stats. Iron Man has tanked huge amounts of punishment over the course of his life time and it is going  to take over 6 pages to list them all. Luckily, I will only do a handful of his best durability feats to showcase how much of a badass the Armored Avenger is :D!!!!.

• In his armor, no matter what type it is, military weaponry literally bounce off. 
• Tanked multiple Military Tanks and got back up like it was nothing.
• Took multiple nuclear blasts and survived 
• Took a punch from Thanos, who can knock down the Hulk
• Took punches from Thor, Sentry, Captain Marvel, The Hulk and Dr Doom
• No sold an attack by Storm. Which actually amplified his suit's power
• Took an energy blast from Captain Marvel, who can harm Asgardians and Kree with her Energy
• Taken multiple shots from Space Technology. Most of which vaporize anything it comes in contact with.
• Was pushed towards multiple buildings and gets up like it was nothing.

Armor Weaponry 

 









Of course, Iron Man is not just a badass in stats, he has the most versatile weapons system you can ever ask for. Iron Man is loaded, and I mean LOADED!! with tremendous firepower for all situations. Here is a rundown of his suit's weaponry. 

Repulsor Ray: The signature weapon of Iron Man's suits. Repulsor Rays can push back and even harm anything it comes in contact with. The blasts are so powerful, even without his most powerful suit, Iron Man can harm Thor and other Asgardians, who are Gods.
The Endo Sym Repulsor Rays are amped up versions of the attack, and can also vaporize Meta Humans.


Rocketry Weapons: Of course, Iron Man is not just about the Repulsor Rays. He can also fire rockets that are able to track down his enemies in all directions. Sometimes, he unleashes a barrage of rockets all over the area and never missed a single target. However, some of Iron Man's Rockets pack with so much firepower, they can destroy military grade tanks and even kill Meta Humans.


 

Cutting Edge Beams: The Cutting Edge Beams are basically a long range lightsaber. However, they are also used for maintenance and construction purposes, making them very versatile. That said, the beams themselves can slice through anything it touches and even penetrate Asgardian Armor.




Uni Beam:  The Uni Beam is the result of Iron Man using his Arc Reactor as a weapon. This beam is a more powerful version of the Repulsor Rays and can vaporize anything in it's path.





Bladed Weapon: Iron Man's Bleeding Edge Armor is armed with bladed weaponry. They range from a sword, a dagger, a chakram styled weapon and even wrist blades. All weapons deliver devastating results such as slashing and piercing attacks.







 
Photo Cannon: Without a doubt, the funniest weapon in Iron Man's Arsenal, the Photo Cannon actually delivers devastating firepower. It can destroy large areas of land in it's path and melt anything it touches.







EMP Shock Wave:  The EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) allows Iron man to disable enemy suits and electronics. Funny enough, Iron Man's suits are designed to prevent EMP blasts.











Abilities
 










Iron Man is also efficient with his abilities. While these abilities are sometimes exclusive to certain suits he wears, Iron Man does have a couple of consistent abilities. Here is a list of abilities.

Techno Telepathy: Iron Man can call down his suits from anywhere. However, he can also use their capabilities even without wearing them at all using a computer system connected to the suit's visor. Badass stuff!!! And, he can call down the Iron Legion to help him in dire situations and for greater crowd control.

Hacking System: Iron Man's suits all have a hacking system. This hacking system is one of the most powerful systems in the Marvel Universe. With just a thought, Iron Man can hack an enemy suit and eventually use it to either eject the wearer or even use it to shut down entirely.


Nano tech Healing: Nano tech Healing is when Iron Man's suits regenerate from damage. It is a very powerful regeneration. However, the more damage Iron Man will take, the slower the healing will come into effect.


Thruster Propulsion: For hand to hand combat, Iron Man can use his thrusters to amplify his attack speed and power. This makes it that he delivers far greater force.


Energy Absorption: With the Endo Sym, Iron Man can absorb energy and even use it to his advantage. This allows him to be a rogue fighter, and essentially, taking away a weapon from his enemies. 


Tendrils: The Endo Sym can use tendrils to trap enemies. It is used to capture foes or even help Iron Man interrogate them for information purposes...... Oh, and it can help deliver a kill shot XD!!!


Camouflage: As mentioned before with his Stealth Suit, Iron Man's camouflage makes him virtually invisible. It has a long period of time and it can help Iron Man complete missions involving espionage and assassination.


Combat Precognition: Iron Man can see the attack patterns of his foes and even predict their movements. This allows Iron Man to have complete control of the situation for a moment.



 JARVIS/AI Systems

 











 Jarvis is Iron Man's AI system. It provides Tony with incredible intel on the situation and even provides the suit's capabilities with regards to his systems and weapons. Jarvis itself is also a personality that constantly gives Tony "Smart ass" comments and even crack jokes while in combat.


Sometimes, Iron Man has different AI systems. Most of which are more serious than Jarvis though they tend to have virtually the same purpose as Jarvis. Regardless of who it is, all AI systems are absolutely crucial to Tony's capabilities.



Skills

Tony Stark himself is a skilled Marksman, a skilled hand to hand combatant, a tactical genius and a commander. Tony himself has led the Avengers to numerous victories  and even gone as far as to actually help them prevent galactic level threats. It is also worth noting that Tony's knowledge of technology is unrivaled to most. 

As a Weapons manufacturer, it comes to no surprise that Tony has shown to develop high tech firepower.... even with just a bunch of scraps in a cave. Simply put, Tony Stark is a mastermind in all fields of Science and Engineering. 



 Feats for Iron Man

Of Course, we cannot end Tony Stark's info without mentioning his legendary feats. Here is a list of accomplishments done by the Armored Avenger.

• Defeated Iron Monger on a regular basis. Iron Monger has the same capabilities as Iron Man plus greater durability.
• Has taken on enemies who are superior to him in terms of firepower and stats and still prevail. 
• Has defeated the Hulk more than twice, which is amazing since most of the Marvel Universe that are below Hulk's level are literally unable to beat him..... except Iron Man
• Became the Sorcerer Supreme for a moment. 
• Has defeated Captain America in hand to hand combat. This also resulted in Cap's death.
• Has defeated the Phoenix Force using the Phoenix Buster
• Prevented a virus from Hacking his own suit
• Has defeated  Ultron's AI controlled Armored suits, who are capable of tanking planet level attacks.
• Went toe to toe with Thanos longer than anyone else did.
• Has managed to overpower and outsmart Loki, the God of Trickery. 
• Fought and defeated Quicksilver, who can travel multiple times the speed of sound and even go at light speeds
• Is played by Robert Downey Jr.
• Is my favorite Avenger 
• Is a badass who doesn't even have to try to be one :D!!!

Weaknesses

  










Despite his legendary status, and his nickname "The Invincible Iron Man", Tony Stark is unfortunately not even close to claiming that title. Tony Stark, without his armor, is just a human and he can die from normal means of attacks. What's more, he is very well known for his arrogant and cocky attitude that sometimes gives his opponent an open window to take advantage of him.


What's more, in the suit, Tony still has weaknesses. The suits, while very durable, cannot take too much damage otherwise they will break down. This can result in Tony Stark losing his main method of fighting should they fail on him. 


Also, Tony himself has defeated God like foes but sometimes, he required extensive prep time to do so. If he hadn't actually researched his opponents before hand, he would most certainly wouldn't achieve great results, and this can be a disadvantage to him in a random encounter against someone who he has no prior knowledge of.


Finally, in terms of hand to hand combat, Tony Stark may be skilled, but his attack speed is left to be desired. While it is already said he can achieve supersonic to Faster than the Eye can track combat speeds, this actually can be countered by someone who is faster than him. Captain America himself has overpowered Iron Man in hand to hand combat, and Captain America has never achieved light speed capabilities.


Still, despite his flaws, Iron Man is a badass superhero. What I love about Iron Man is how much of a personality he brings to the table and his suits are just so cool. The truth will always be that Tony Stark will always be Iron Man.......








Tatsumi

 



















In the borderlands of the Empire, there was a young boy with a heroic deed. His name is Tatsumi. Tatsumi has vowed to give his local village the money they need to help them thrive and become a stronger community.

Tatsumi and his friends Sayo and Ieyasu, set out to the Capital in a attempt to get a position in the Imperial Army and earn enough cash to help their village. Unfortunately, Tatsumi was unable to join the ranks and was forced out of the building because he felt that he was too skilled to be a private.

Eventually, Tatsumi met a friendly local named Leone, who promised Tatsumi that she can get him into the Army and help him get the cash for his village, for a price. Leone requested Tatsumi to first take her for a drink and thus, the deal was on. However, Tatsumi, like the fool he was, gave Leone all of his cash to make sure she kept her promise to allow Tatsumi to join the ranks..... Unfortunately, this resulted in Leone scamming Tatsumi, and he was left with nothing else but his clothes and equipment......

On the same night, Tatsumi was found on the streets by an aristocrat named Aria, who took Tatsumi to her mansion and sheltered him there. Tatsumi, still waiting for Sayo and Ieyasu to arrive at the capital, eventually asked the aristocrats to help him find his friends and get him to join the ranks.

One night, a group of assassins murdered Aria's parents and bodyguards. Admist the chaos, Tatsumi attempted to protect Aria from harm. This resulted in Tatsumi meeting the band of assassins for the first time. This group of Assassins is known as Night Raid, and they have been infamous for murdering the Empire's most well known and powerful figures.

Tatsumi, knowing of their intentions at first, protected Aria from attack by a mysterious sword wielder, who is later known to be Akame. Tatsumi, despite his best efforts, was almost killed by Akame until a familiar face prevented the whole confrontation. It was Leone, and, because of her previous actions with Tatsumi, Leone owed Tatsumi something back. Leone showed Tatsumi the reason why Night Raid invaded Aria's home......... Aria and her family were capturing people from the countryside and poisoned and tortured them to death. Two of these unfortunate souls were Sayo and Ieyasu, Tatsumi's friends!

Realizing Aria's true intentions, Tatsumi murdered Aria and was devastated by the death of his childhood friends. Eventually, Leone requested Tatsumi to join Night Raid, much to the disapproval of Mine and Akame.

Afterwards, Tatsumi was in a situation that should he ever leave Night Raid's hide out he would be assassinated. Tatsumi, still unable to join Night Raid at first, was given a tour by Leone to meet all the members of Night Raid. After a meeting with the Boss, named Najenda, Tatsumi eventually joined Night Raid and was promised to have all the cash he needed to help his village.

Since then, Tatsumi has undertaken countless missions involving assassination, recon, warfare, hunting danger beasts and most importantly, avenge Sayo and Ieyasu by bringing the Empire to the ground and restore peace to the Capital.


That, is a detailed background of Tatsumi, now, let's see what this badass boy is capable of.



Imperial Arms

Tatsumi, at first, did not have any Imperial Arms. That was until he was given Zanku's Spectator, which is a eyeball that allows the user to predict the actions of their enemies. Unfortunately, the Spectator never quite bonded with Tatsumi and thus, it's effectiveness was limited to just seeing through clothing and revealing underwear......... That is super creepy XD!!!


Eventually, Tatsumi was granted the legendary Teigu known as "Incursio". Incursio takes the form of a short sword and, once activated, transforms the user into a full suit of armor. Incursio is created with the flesh of the legendary Danger Beast known as Tyrant. The Armor itself was the prototype to the more advanced "Grand Chariot". Tyrant's power was so great that it's flesh is still alive within, giving the title "Demon Dragon Armor".

In order to wear Incursio, one must have the mental and physical capacity to wear it. Should one be too weak to do so, will result in them being consumed by the armor and turned into a monster or possibly being killed in the process. Thus, Incursio is an Imperial Arms that requires the user to reach beyond their limit to use efficiently.




The Stages of Incursio.

It is important to note that Incursio has different stages, which result in improved stats and better capabilities. This also means that Incursio allows Tatsumi to adapt to anything thrown at him during combat, which allows him to eventually overpower and read attack patterns perfectly. The stages for Incursio are:





Incursio 1: Grants superhuman strength, speed and durability plus Neuntote, a large spear

Incursio 2: Improves Incursio's capabilities and has greater stats than Stage 1. It also grants wings.

Incursio 3: Grants Incursio greater stats and now has claws for superior close quarters damage

Incursio 4: Superior stats compared to Stage 3, and Tatsumi becomes more animalistic in appearance, resembling Tyrant. Infact, in this stage, Tatsumi no longer became human.

Strength

Tatsumi, despite being a boy, is a very, very strong combatant. However, it is with Incursio that his capabilities reach unbelievable levels. What's more, Incursio's power set increases with different stages that result in even more power. Here is a list of Tatsumi's Strength feats.

Base Tatsumi

• Without Incursio, Tatsumi can still slice the body of a Class One Danger beast the size of a large building.
• Has helped Aria's bodyguards lift a very, very heavy load of shopping items and a giant box.
• Has kicked Kalbi with such force, he was sent flying and was eventually knocked out. Kalbi is a large man with a bull mask and is very muscular
• Can carry large quantities of Fish while helping Akame.

Incursio 1

• Punched Nyau with such force, it shatter the wall. It even resulted in Nyau's death.
• Has stalemated Grand Chariot's attacks. Grand Chariot is capable of cracking Incursio's armor and even destroy other Imperial Arms
• Threw Neuntote with such force, the weapon pierces through its enemies
• Would scale to Bulat's feats. Bulat himself has used Incursio and theoretically, the same feats would apply to Tatsumi since Incursio was worn by both of them. Bulat himself has overpowered the Three Beasts and even sliced Daidara in half with Neuntote.

Incursio 2

• Has punched a Giant Mech which is bigger than the size of a mountain flying.
• Creates shock waves that can cut through Esdeath's Constructs
• In their second encounter, Tatsumi incapacitated Wave with just a few hits despite not trying to kill him
• Struck a Guarding Cosmina away, despite the considerable size difference.

Incursio 3

• With help from Wave, Tatsumi kicked Shikouteizer backwards to what looks like multiple cities away. This is quite a huge strength feat since Shikouteizer was in Purge Mode and it is the size of Godzilla.
• Basically is evenly matched with Grand Chariot's strength level at this point.
• In the Anime, Tatsumi held back Shikouteizer long enough to not cause more damage in a district after it was deactivated.

Incursio 4

• Able to overpower the Supreme Beam by Shikouteizer. This is huge, since the Supreme Beam is capable of causing explosions similar to Shikouteizer's height and kill thousands of soldiers with just one blast.

 Speed

In terms of Speed, Tatsumi is very, very fast. However, it is with Incursio that he truly shines. Here is a list of feats for Tatsumi himself and Incursio.

Base Tatsumi

 

• Struck down a Class One Danger Beast in seconds
• Has disarmed Captain Ogre in nanoseconds and jumped to the air during the process
• Parried Kalbi's punches
• Dodged Mine's Pumpkin pinch shots at point blank range. This is significant considering that Pumpkin's pinch shots can travel at over 1km instantly.
• Managed to graze Zanku, who can predict the actions of his opponent thanks to Spectator.
• Equaled Akame's attack speed for a very brief moment.

Incursio 1

• Scales to a Bulat feat, where he attacked the Three Beasts all at once in a split second
• Dodged Dr Stylish's attacks, who are quick enough to catch even Akame off guard
• Equal to Leone's speed, who can outspeed General Budo and dodge lightning
• Has dodged Seryu Ubitquitous' barrage of rockets while carrying Mine.
• Saved Mine from Seryu's suicide bomb right before the blast engulfed her
• Saved Mine from landing head first to a concrete floor just inches away.
• Senses and Dodged Wave's attacks 
• Ran up to Akame and pulled her away from Bols' Flame attacks

Incursio 2

• Ran infront and blocked a ball of lightning
• Dodged lightning 
• Blitzes Cosmina, who can attack and react to massively hypersonic speeds
• To understand this feat, one must know the map of the Capital. As we can see the Capital is surrounded by two circular walls, the outer wall has an area of 200,000 kilometers, meaning the distance from the outer wall and the center is ~252 kilometers. Tatsumi was outside the outer wall and ran all the way to the center where Shikouteizer was standing in seemingly seconds. He also was able to jump over Shikouteizer who is taller than multiple mountains
• Managed to evade Shikouteizer's beam attacks. The beam attack can travel at 252 km instantly.

Incursio 3

• Same as Incursio 2's capabilities though it is possible it can achieve greater feats

Incursio 4

• Has virtually exceeded Tatsumi's speed limitations and go far beyond Incursio's capabilities. Incursio also can achieve much better speed capabilities such as superior combat and travel speed. It is entirely possible that Tatsumi would achieve FTL speeds due to the stat gap he has while at this stage.

Durability

In terms of Durability, Tatsumi is a badass. However, Incursio amplifies his durability (since it is armor after all hahahah) and it also demonstrates surprising amounts of capabilities as Incursio reaches later stages. Here is a list of feats for durability

Base Tatsumi

• Took multiple kicks from an enraged Mine
• Was severely wounded by Zanku yet he still fought on.
• Slapped by General Esdeath that caused a bruise
• Was hit in the head by Najenda after laughing at Susanoo's comment about Najenda looking like a man.
• Took blows from Nyau 
• Whenever Incursio takes damage, Tatsumi can feel the force within the suit anyway. This can actually put him above superhuman levels of durability.

Incursio 1

• Scales to Bulat, who can take Water attacks from Liver's Black Marlin
• While cloaked, Tatsumi withstood an attack that was described as changing the terrain
• Unphased from a kick by General Esdeath to the ground. For reference, Esdeath's kicks are powerful enough to shatter brain matter without any form of effort
• Took a slice from Extase. Extase is stated to slice everything it slashes. 
• Has withstood Grand Chariot's Grand Fall, which Tatsumi stated it can literally kill him
• No sold Seryu Ubiquitous' suicide blast while saving Mine.
• Took multiple attacks from Shikouteizer and still fight on like it was nothing.

Incursio 2


 

•  Using Neuntote, Tatsumi clashed with Grand Chariot's Grand Fall Flugel. For Reference, Grand Fall Flugel is powerful enough to destroy Shikouteizer and it is a amped up variant of the standard Grand Fall technique, which can actually crack Incursio. Durability wise, this is impressive as the clash actually knocked Wave out of Grand Chariot yet Tatsumi remained in Incursio.
• Tanked Esdeath's Hagelsprung and Grauhorn. Hagelsprung is a huge Ice column which is bigger than a mountain and can kill a mountain sized Danger beast. Grauhorn is an Ice Pillar that can travel at supersonic speeds and pierce anything it touches.
• Took massive amounts of punishment from Shikouteizer and still kept fighting.

Incursio 3

• Despite the stats upgrade, Tatsumi was never in any form severely hit or even touched during this stage. That said, it is entirely possible that his durability at this point surpasses Stage 2 Incursio.

Incursio 4

• Took Shikouteizer's Beam attacks and managed to pass through. The Beams are wide enough to cover large portions of the Capital and are powerful enough to destroy Cities. 
• Surpasses all previous from by up to eleven. Meaning, would have a much bigger boost to durability.

Weaponry

Tatsumi, by all logic, is a warrior. Thus, it is pretty clear that he would use weaponry in combat. Here is a list of armaments that Tatsumi has used.
  
 

Broadsword: The first weapon used by Tatsumi. It is a sword that has tremendous cutting power. Sadly, the sword broke after Tatsumi attempted to slash at Kaku



















Neuntote: Neuntote is the signature weapon of Incursio. It is a large spear or a pole arm that is capable of slicing through Danger Beasts easily. What's more, the spear can also pierce through armor like butter. 









Claws: After evolving Incursio, Tatsumi is eventually granted claws for better hand to hand combat capabilities. These claws are very powerful, and in the anime, managed to slice through Shikouteizer's impenetrable armor

Abilities

Tatsumi himself has no notable abilities. However, Incursio on the other hand, is armed with certain abilities that make it a force to be reckoned with. Here is a list of abilities by Incursio.

Indestructible Armor: Incursio is virtually indestructible. While it can only take severe damage from other Imperial Arms users, Incursio would take much less damage from other forms of weaponry. This makes Incursio almost impossible to destroy.


 Adaptability: Believe it or not, the reason why Incursio has multiple stages is because it is constantly adapting to it's situation. Infact, it is this adaptability that makes Incursio a very unpredictable asset to the fight. The adaptation boosts the stats of Incursio depending on the situation and can result in a much easier time to finish off the enemy since it can also become immune to whatever they deliver. For example, Incursio adapted to Cosmina's Poison attacks and basically became completely immune to it's effects. And, Incursio adapted and eventually became resistant to Esdeath's Demon Extract and Mahapadma, which is a time stop.... Tatsumi is unaffected by a time stop....... That is badass. Simply put, Incursio's Adaptability makes it a very, very powerful asset to use.

Regeneration: Incursio's regeneration is unique. It not only heals Tatsumi but it can self repair to keep fighting in tight engagements. The healing process is also very quick, since this is the same ability that kept Tatsumi fighting Shikouteizer for a very long period of time.


Trump Card "Invisibility": Incursio's Trump Card is it's ability to cloak. In other words, turn invisible. This can give Tatsumi more breathing time should he even hide from the enemy long enough to try and plan things on the fly for a brief moment. While the effects are brief, Invisibility is still a very useful asset to Incursio's capabilities. It is also used for Stealth Operations also.







Skills
It comes to no surprise that Tatsumi is a skilled warrior. Even for his age, he managed to defeat foes who vastly outclass him in terms of experience and skills. Infact, it was Leone who saw Tatsumi's true potential at their second meeting and requested that Tatsumi be part of Night Raid. Even better, Bulat, one of Night Raid's most experienced members, stated that Tatsumi "would one day surpass me". What's more, General Esdeath has declared that with enough training, Tatsumi would be a General Class Fighter. 

Combat skills aside, Tatsumi is also a chef. Infact, he assisted Akame with cooking duties and, during his time with the Jaegers, assisted Bols with cooking up dinner.

Overall, Tatsumi is a dangerous foe to tackle thanks to his amazing skill set. 





Feats for Tatsumi

Of course, being one of the central characters of Akame Ga Kill, Tatsumi achieved alot of feats. Here is a list of Tatsumi's amazing feats and accomplishments

• Defeated the Empire's most elite figures such as Captain Ogre.
• Defeated Nyau, who used his Trump Card that boosted his physique
• Overpowered Wave, who wore Grand Chariot at the time
• Has helped Akame defeat General Esdeath (Manga)
• With help from Wave, defeated and eventually destroyed Shikouteizer
• Killed numerous Danger Beasts, most of which are the size of large buildings
• Killed Cosmina, who can resist Akame's Murasame Effects
• Took on Dr Stylish's Cronies. Who ambushed Night Raid out of nowhere
• Helped Akame kill Dr Stylish
• Defeated Suzuka, one of the four Rakshasa Demons (Ibara is cooler btw XD!!!)  
• Defeated both General Esdeath and General Budo, two of the Empire's most powerful figures (Manga)
• Has met all of Esdeath's requirements to be her love......... I hate you Tatsumi
• Was kissed by Mine before she passed away (Anime)
• Licked by Leone in the ear 
• Was asked who looked better in a swimsuit by both Leone and Chelsea......... How does he get all the ladies XD!!! 
  
• In the manga, Tatsumi lived a long and peaceful life with Mine after the war ended. 
• Eventually returned to his village and was greeted a hero's welcome. And, thanks to a regular allowance from the New Empire, Tatsumi's village never got hungry ever again 

Weaknesses

  













Despite Tatsumi's amazing skills for a human, he is just a human boy. Infact, Tatsumi has been severely damaged multiple times in combat. What's more, it was thanks to his friends that Tatsumi would have certainly be killed if they didn't interfere. 


As for Incursio, despite it's "Indestructibility", it can still take severe damage from sufficient force regardless. Infact, Incursio is almost useless against Extase, which cuts anything like butter. What's worse, Incursio's adaptability, while very powerful, can result in Tyrant consuming Tatsumi's humanity and allow him to lose control and go berserk. While this is no longer a problem since Tatsumi's connection with Tyrant was severed by Akame, it is still a weakness worth mentioning.


Also, Tatsumi..... is a reckless fighter. This can lead him to become very predictable to his opponent and be open to more lethal attacks. And what's worse, should Tatsumi get overpowered, he will have to constantly adapt to his situation otherwise he will lose the fight.

What's worth mentioning, Tatsumi actually dies in the anime. While this version of Tatsumi is vastly inferior to his manga counterpart, it shows the limits of Incursio and Tatsumi himself.

And finally, most of Tatsumi's feats required help from others. Shikouteizer for instance involved an extensive amount of help from Grand Chariot. Dr Stylish was killed thanks to both Akame and Tatsumi..... Yeah, this means some of Tatsumi's feats are the result of teamwork over solo operations. 


However, despite his weaknesses, Tatsumi is a badass. He has one of the coolest armors in fiction and oh man is he lucky to have the ladies go at him. Speaking of which, I wanted Tatsumi to go with General Esdeath or Leone over Mine. Oh well, you can't get what you want (Mine is still awesome btw hahah) 

Overall, Tatsumi is, once again, a force to be reckoned with. You do not want to mess with Tatsumi.





Summary

Advantages

• Superior Strength and Durability
• Much more experienced than Tatsumi 
• More weaponry, giving him better versatility
• Taking on Gods and other Galactic Threats, Iron Man decimates Tatsumi in terms of a better rogue gallery

• More arrogant than Tatsumi
• His suits, while extremely durable, can still be shattered by Tatsumi's attacks 
• Not quite as skilled as Tatsumi in hand to hand combat due to Tatsumi's extensive training as an assassin
• Pepper Potts is not as sexy as Leone and Esdeath.
• Base Tony Stark is outright annihilated by Base Tatsumi (Both without armor)

Tatsumi

  Advantages

• In Incursio's later stages, Tatsumi surpasses Iron Man in terms of Travel, Reactionary, and Combat speed
• Fighting Grand Chariot and Shikouteizer alone proves that Tatsumi is able to exploit Iron Man's attacks to the point he would be untouchable to all of them.
• Incursio's Adaptability, while limited to the Akame Ga Kill Story arc in terms of capabilities, theoretically will make Tatsumi immune to all of Iron Man's attacks, which actually ends the fight decisively.
• Incursio sounds way cooler than something like "Mark 1-100 Armor suit" or "HulkBuster"
• Base Tatsumi kills Tony Stark (Both without armor) 
• Since Tatsumi has become immune to General Budo's lightning, Iron Man's EMP blasts and electrical attacks are utterly useless
• Is more than capable of destroying Iron Man's suits. Yes, even the Hulkbuster and Thor Buster.
• By rules of Akame Ga Kill, Incursio can only be severely damaged by other Imperial Arms. Since Iron Man's suits are not Imperial Arms, they would deal far less damage to Incursio than what they could have achieved
• Tanking Shikouteizer's Beam attacks, even while at Purge Mode, Tatsumi certainly can tank all of Iron Man's repulsor blasts and even the photo cannon and Uni Beam.
• Is a far superior hand to hand fighter. 
• Regeneration allows Tatsumi to stay alive longer and fight at full power effectively

• Has a more straight forward approach to combat compared to Iron Man, who can do tricky maneuvers and attack from all directions.

Verdict

 













In what has to be the most exciting match up for me to analyze, Iron Man vs Tatsumi is hands down, a whopper of a fight. Believe it or not, despite what most people think, this match up is one of the closest contests you can possibly ask for. So, this match up took me days to figure out who will come out on top. Like Mine vs Gaige, this is just as close as that match up due to specific factors that balance it out. However, after extensive research and consideration, I finally found the winner of this amazing match up. First, let's look at the stats.


In terms of stats, this is very interesting. Iron Man has the superior strength thanks to having more feats that are both numerous and impressive. Iron Man has stalemated punches from Thor and The Hulk even without the Hulkbuster and Thor Buster suits, that already makes him far superior to Tatsumi in terms of strength. However, Tatsumi himself is still a capable combatant in the strength department. That said, Iron Man just edged out thanks to consistency and better presentation.

Durability wise, this is another interesting factor. Both Iron Man and Tatsumi are extremely durable. Though, in my opinion, Iron Man edges out in terms of durability. The reason why I say it is because, if Iron Man took multiple nuclear blasts, Thor and Hulk's attacks, I believe that is enough to convince me he has the edge in terms of Durability. However, another factor that I will mention later on may help Tatsumi in the Durability department

Speed wise, this is hands down Tatsumi's edge. While Iron Man himself is very fast, especially considering that he has taken on Quicksilver and even Thor's attack speed, Tatsumi............ Is just way faster. Since Tatsumi can fight at lightning speeds in terms of combat, should he be close to Iron Man in melee range, he would land more punches on Iron Man than what he would take. This means, Tatsumi will certainly land more blows to Iron Man thanks to his speed alone. It is also worth noting that Tatsumi has dodged the lightning generated by General Budo and even Shikouteizer's Beam attacks, which reach 252km instantly. I am certainly confident that Tatsumi would dodge the Repulsor Blasts by Iron Man.
 


The one question of the match up that make me think, what can Tatsumi do to Iron Man if he is outclassed in terms of Strength and Durability? Even with the speed edge, how is it enough to take on Iron Man's sheer power? Well, Tatsumi has one trick here that evens the playing field..... Incursio's Adaptability.


The Adaptability of Incursio is hands down the most important factor of the match up. I say this because it really does determine the outcome of the fight given it has almost limitless potential. Infact, while Akame Ga Kill never showed us more feats for its adaptability aside from lightning resistance and Time manipulation resistance, theoretically, it can allow Tatsumi to be resistant to all of Iron Man's attacks...... This can prove fatal to Tony Stark.

While it seems that Incursio's Adaptability is the game changer, we have to remember, Iron Man has faced foes who have adapted to certain scenarios before. Iron Man's strongest asset is his ability to adapt to any combat scenario. So, it seems this is a stalemate then right?  Not quite

You see, Iron Man has never, in his entire life, ever faced someone like Tatsumi, who literally transforms into a more powerful suit of armor the longer the battle goes on. Tatsumi on the other hand has taken on foes who have the exact same capabilities as Iron Man. Tatsumi has dodged Rockets by Seryu Ubiquitous, who else fires rockets? Iron Man. Tatsumi fought opponents who are vastly more experienced and smarter than him and prevail. Who is more experienced and more intelligent? Iron Man. And Shikouteizer alone, as said before, fires Beam attacks. And.... well you get the idea.



However, the thing about Incursio's Adaptability is, should Tatsumi push it to it's limits for too long, he will succumb to Tyrant's will and eventually transform into a dragon. This in turn would make it that Tatsumi is no longer human and will eventually go berserk and go all out............ Iron Man, would take advantage of this since, his experience with someone like Hulk, proves he can outsmart opponents who are pretty much straightforward with their attack pattern.


So finally, who is going to win?????? Well, after careful consideration...... I believe the winner of this match is..........

 


So, I choose Iron Man to win this match. Why you may ask? Well, simply put, Tony Stark has defeated more powerful foes that are much stronger than Tatsumi. Even better, while Stark himself required prep time for most of his fights, the suits capabilities still help him against Incursio because they have more options in terms of weapons and versatility. Speaking of weapons, Iron Man has way more weapons than Tatsumi, who only has Neuntote and Claws (Later stages). It also helps Iron Man that his suits can still fly in space....... Tatsumi, never flew to space nor has shown anything that suggests he can adapt to space. 


 Since Iron Man would know his weaponry could be useless against Incursio, it is completely in character for him to carry Tatsumi up into the atmosphere, suffocating Tatsumi to death........ Iron Man has done this multiple times, and it proves he is certainly capable of dealing with foes who are much more powerful than him using unpredictable tactics.



What's more, Iron man has an AI system that helps him here. While Techno telepathy is pointless since Incursio is magically controlled, the fact that Iron Man could simply call down the Iron Legion for a numeric advantage is going to give Tatsumi a very hard time to tackle Iron Man. Even worse, Tatsumi, once he sees the multiple suits at once, would not even detect the real Tony Stark until it is too late. 

It is also worth noting, Iron Man can simply change suits in combat, giving him much better versatility than Tatsumi. The Hulkbuster for instance will certainly give Iron Man far more firepower and while it won't help Iron Man in the speed department, it can give Iron Man a momentary stall to Tatsumi's attacks to analyze his attack pattern to eventually exploit them.


Hence, thanks to his Strength, Durability, Weapons,  Unpredictable Tactics, his AI systems, Iron Legion, Experience, Suit switching and Robert Downey Jr, I believe Iron Man has what it takes to win this match up.
