Season 2: Master Yoda (Star Wars) vs Gandalf (Middle Earth)

Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to a new edition of my Who Would Win Series.

This match up is going to be Master Yoda from Star Wars vs Gandalf from Middle Earth.


For Master Yoda, I will use images from the Star Wars live action films but I will also include Power Scaling feats from the Expanded Universe as a source for Yoda's Power Levels and Skillset.

As for Gandalf, I will use images from the Peter Jackson films and, like Yoda, will do Power Scaling feats from the Simarillion and his various forms such as Gandalf the Grey, The Whit and Olorin.


Finally, I will do a basic rundown on their stats, weaponry, their abilities, equipment, feats and Power Levels. And finally, who I personally believe will win this match up.

So, without further ado, let's begin.





Master Yoda

Little is known about Master Yoda's origins. Infact, his entire species is left to be desired. However, it is very well known that Yoda is an extraordinary being of tremendous potential.

Master Yoda is one of the Jedi Masters of Coruscant, and has trained numerous Jedi for centuries.

Eventually, there was a disturbance in the force, Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn requested that a young boy by the name of Anakin Skywalker should be trained because he is deemed "The Chosen One", Yoda and the Council, like the wise guys they are, refused the proposal at first until Qui Gon's death at the hands of a Sith Apprentice named Darth Maul sparked Obi Wan's proposal to train Anakin even further.

After much deliberation, Yoda and the Council finally agreed to train the boy. Over the years, Anakin Skywalker has obeyed the Council's wishes with upmost dedication, which, at the same time took advice from Chancellor Paplatine.

Eventually, Anakin thought that he had been held back by the council, and was seduced by Palpatine, who is revealed to be the Emperor.

After siding with Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker and his newly formed faction "The Galactic Empire", slaughtered most of the Jedi, Yoda managed to escape the carnage and eventually had a clash with Emperor Palpatine. After an intense battle, Yoda escaped from Coruscant and was forced to take refuge in Dagobah.


While in Dagobah, Yoda waited patiently for Anakin's son, Luke Skywalker, to grow up and become a Jedi in order to defeat the Empire. Eventually, the headstrong yet young Luke Skywalker arrived at Dagobah to meet the Jedi Master and start his training to become a Jedi Knight.

During his time with Yoda, Luke experienced a vision and saw that his friends were in danger. In a reckless attempt, Luke stalled his training and confronted the Empire, meeting the Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader.

In a shocking twist, Vader revealed himself as Luke's father. This was merely an attempt to bring Luke to the Dark Side, which, ultimately failed. Eventually, Luke was rescued by Leia, Lando, Chewie, R2-D2 and C3-P0 and decided to continue his training with Yoda.


Eventually, Luke Skywalker reached the pinnacle of his skills.... Sadly, Yoda himself was dying. Feeling that he accomplished his goal, Yoda told Luke that his training is almost done and the only way to fully complete his training is simple: Defeat Darth Vader and The Emperor once and for all......



That, is a detailed backstory of Yoda and the story arc of the Original Star Wars trilogy. Now, let's see what this badass Jedi Master can do.






Speed.

In Terms of speed, Yoda...... Is a badass. Infact, It is deceiving to some that Yoda is just a frail old Jedi Knight? WRONG!!!!! Yoda is exceptionally fast. Here are a couple of Speed Feats for the Jedi Master.

• Can dodge around blaster fire from numerous Clone Troopers and Seperatist Droids. 
• Deflect blaster fire with supersonic reflexes.
• Attack Speed equals to Emperor Palpatine, who can slice 3 Jedi Knights in a time span of 9 seconds.
• Can travel at supersonic speeds without his walking stick.
• Dodged Emperor Palpatine's Force controlled Senate platforms, which are Pushed at quick succession. 
• Decapitated 2 Clone Troopers behind him at Faster than the Eye can track speeds.

Durability 
While Yoda himself doesn't quite have alot of Durability feats, there are a couple of noteworthy moments that display his toughness in combat. Here is a few feats for Durability.

• Took a Force Lighting blast from Emperor Palpatine and got back up
• Was Force Pushed by the Force Deadlock between himself and Palpatine. Yoda fell over 70 ft from both the Top Platform towards the Center Platform, hitting head first against the Platform's Console and landing 50 ft into the bottom. Yoda was not hurt by all this.
• Took multiple bumps against numerous Sith and still get up like it was nothing.

Force Abilities

  













Yoda is a Jedi Master. Hence, he has the ability to use the Force to manipulate anything in a grand scale. The Force is what flows through all living things, it binds everyone and the galaxy together, making it a universally powerful essence. 

Being a Jedi Master for Centuries, Yoda is a highly accomplished Force Sensitive. He can channel the Force for limitless capabilities. Here is a list of a couple of Abilities with the Force.


Force Push: One of the most basic Force Powers used by Jedi, Sith and other Force Sensitives, Force Push allows the user to push their enemies away for devastating effects. Sometimes, the Force Push can be used with greater power, resulting in groups of enemies being pushed away, resulting in either unconsciousness's or even death.


Force Pull: Another widely used ability. Force Pull is basically the opposite of Force Push except it pulls objects and enemies towards the user. At greater power levels, Force Pull can disarm enemies and even disarm groups of enemies at once.

Force Absorption: Force Absorption allows the User to absorb Force based attacks. In various Star Wars material, Force Absorption can make the user absorb the Force and fuel their Force Energy. This makes the ability an extremely powerful asset to any Force User since it allows them to redirect Force attacks with more energy.

Force Protection: Force Protection allows the User to become highly resistant to damage for a short period of time. However, in some instances, Force Protection lasts for about a minute or two and even can be used to prevent acidic rain from touching the User's body. 


Force Heal: An extremely powerful ability, Force Heal is simple, it allows the User to regenerate their Stamina and Health to keep on fighting. While some Jedi use this ability while being stationary, a skillful Jedi can use this ability while moving, which can let them regenerate while on the run.

Force Valor: Force Valor increases the User's stats to greater heights. The Effects last for a short time though it does increase the overall effectiveness of the User's combat capabilities.

Force Block: Force Block allows the User to block Force attacks. This is very useful against another Force User because it can prevent the defender from being open to a killshot. 

Force Speed: Force Speed is an ability that allows the User to travel at Faster than the Eye can track speeds. It also increases the Combat speed for the User, giving them a huge advantage against an enemy who is significantly slower than them.

Force Jump: Force Jump allows the User to Jump very high and travel at long distances. A powerful Force Jump can allow the User to reach the top of a building and tall platforms.

Mind Trick: Mind Trick is an ability that allows the User to manipulate the minds of others. It can be used to allow the victim to obey commands or even Persuasion purposes. The effects last for a short time but it can give the User more time for options.

Force Vision: Force Vision allows the user to sense a presence with the Force. It can also give the user foresight, see the future and past, and even experience events that happened from light years away.

Force Sight: Force Sight is similar to Force Vision. However, this time, it allows the User to see anything using the Force. It can even prevent blindness and allows the User to see in extremely dark places.

Force Lightning: Force Lighting allows the User to project lightning from their finger tips. While this is actually a Dark Side power, Yoda has used this ability before, thus, it is also possible for Yoda to use other Dark Side powers in combat.





Force Bolt: Force Bolt is similar to Force Lightning except that this time, the lightning is created by a storm that is channeled by the Force. It allows the user to target it's location with a powerful lightning bolt.






The Lightsaber

Yoda brings a Lightsaber for combat. An elegant weapon from a more civilized age, the Lightsaber is the standard weapon for both the Jedi and The Sith. Lightsabers are among one of the most powerful melee weapons in Star Wars, and they can cut through almost anything. At the hands of a skilled warrior, the Lightsaber can be used offensively and defensively. Using the Force, the Lightsaber has a couple of Force Based attacks. These Force Abilities with the Lightsaber are:


Saber Throw: The Saber Throw allows the User to use the Force to throw their saber towards their enemies. A more powerful and versatile variant of the Saber Throw allows the User to even Manipulate the Blade using the Force and control it's direction.




Saber Blast: The Saber Blast is when the User uses the Force to flow around the Lightsaber, once the Saber is swung, the Force is then unleashed, delivering a shockwave that can push back groups of enemies in it's path


Electrical Blade: The Lightsaber can channel electricity, increasing it's striking power and delivering electrical attacks. This is especially useful against Droids and Machinery.


Blaster/Force Deflection: In terms of defense, the Lightsaber is also very well suited for Defense. It can be used to deflect blaster fire and Force Attacks like Force Lightning. 




Skillset/Power Level.
Yoda, since he is a Jedi Master, is one of the most skilled warriors in combat. His mastery with the Force is rivaled only by the most powerful Force Users such as Emperor Palpatine and Mace Windu, and Obi Wan Kenobi once said that Yoda has exceptional Sword Skills. Yoda himself has centuries worth of experience with the Lightsaber and the Force. Thus, it is thanks to his experience and age that makes him a very powerful and a very wise combatant. It is also worth noting that Yoda is also a master in battle tactics and has utilized tactics that generally resulted in a victorious outcome for the Jedi.

It is also worth noting that thanks to Power Scaling, Yoda would theoretically be as powerful as these Force Users

Emperor Palpatine: Technically, since Yoda and Palpatine fought to a Standstill, Yoda would be equal to Palpatine in terms of Force Power and Skills. Palpatine, in the Expanded Universe, created a huge Force Storm that devoured an entire fleet of starships 













Mace Windu: Legendary Jedi Master Mace Windu is highly skilled with Lightsaber Combat and a Master of the Force. Windu himself, is powerful enough to use the force to destroy an army of droids in just a simple hand gesture. In terms of Lightsaber Combat, Yoda is evenly matched with Windu, who actually defeated Palpatine in a duel.


Luke Skywalker: Since Yoda trained Luke, it is clear that Yoda's Power Level matches Luke Skywalker's. In the later years after the Battle of Endor, Skywalker became so powerful with the Force, he can destroy armies and a group of Starships. Skywalker became a more skilled Lightsaber practitioner and eventually a powerful Jedi Master himself.




Feats for Yoda

   












Of course, we have to end Yoda's info with some of his most well known feats.  Here is a rundown of Yoda's impressive Resume

• Trained multiple Jedi for Centuries
• Defeated numerous Dark Side Enemies. 
• Fought Count Dooku and stalemated him.
• Fought and Stalemated Emperor Palpatine
• Has trained Luke Skywalker to the pinnacle of his abilities. This is significant since Luke actually bested Vader in Combat due to his training with Yoda
• Used the Force to pull Luke Skywalker's X Wing from Dagobah's Swamp.
• Used the Force to save Obi Wan and Anakin from being crushed by a large pillar 
• Is able to speak sentences with back to front word placement with style :D!!!
• Can use the Force even after becoming one with the Force

Weaknesses

  
 








Despite Yoda being one of the most powerful characters in Star Wars, he unfortunately has weaknesses. While technically hard to pin point, Yoda has the same limitations as a regular Jedi and Sith have.

Firstly, Yoda is basically feat less in terms of physical strength. Meaning, he has never been shown to lift anything taller than him with his bare hands. This makes him virtually useless in hand to hand combat. 

Also, The Force, despite it's limitless potential, has a drawback. Like magic, The Force will eventually run out and must be recharged in order to use it once more. While Yoda never seems to be affected by this drawback, in terms of consistency, it is entirely possible it applies to him anyway. 


Still despite his flaws, Yoda is a badass Jedi Master. He is basically my favorite Wise Guy in fiction and always had a charming and endearing personality that makes him such a likable character. May the Force be with you Master Yoda!!!!!







Gandalf

  





















Gandalf, also known as Mithrandir, Stormcrow and Olorin, is one of the Five High Order of Wizards known as the Istari. The Istari were sent by the Valar to protect the Free Peoples of Middle Earth from Morgoth's Servant known as Sauron.

Gandalf, being a wise wizard, was tasked to aid the Forces of Good. Gandalf even helped out the Dwarves of Erebor to retake their lost kingdom from the Dragon known as Smaug. Eventually, Gandalf insisted on having a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins to help the Dwarves on their quest.

During his adventure with the Company of Dwarves, Gandalf had experienced a strange turn of events. He had witnessed the coming darkness and has seen the signs of an upcoming era of chaos across Middle Earth. However, despite this, Gandalf vowed to take the battle head on for the Greater Good.


Years later, upon arriving at the Shire, meeting his friends Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, Gandalf came just for a visit. However, at Bilbo's 111th birthday, Gandalf experienced a strange yet familiar twist. Bilbo, after disappearing infront of the entire population of the Shire, wore the One Ring to escape.

Gandalf eventually found out about Bilbo's Ring, and demanded Bilbo to give it to Frodo in order to successfully destroy it at Mount Doom. Frodo, after hearing the stories about the Ring of Power and Sauron's attempt to conquer Middle Earth, decided to take this quest.

Afterwards, Frodo and his friend Samwise Gamgee set a course to Mount Doom. Gandalf eventually gave the two Hobbits a place to meet him, at the Inn of the Prancy Pony.


Realizing that Middle Earth would need more backup, Gandalf requested Saruman's help, who is also a fellow Istari. Unfortunately, Saruman actually pledged his loyalties to the Dark Lord Sauron, ending his Alliance with the Free Peoples of Middle Earth.


Afterwards, Gandalf finally met Frodo at Rivendell, and, after a council meeting that involves the destruction of the Ring, formed a group of companions embarking on an epic quest known as "The Fellowship of the Ring".


Since then, Gandalf has participated in numerous battles, has died.... then came back once more, and has done everything in his power to keep Middle Earth from being destroyed by the Forces of Evil.



That is a detailed backstory of Gandalf. Now, let's see what this badass Wizard is capable of.


Strength
 









Gandalf, has a few strength feats that make him quite a strong combatant. Here is a few feats displaying his strength

• Gandalf can hold two dwarves at once with his staff.  
• Sliced an Attack Troll with such strength, it killed it. This is impressive since Gandalf did this with just one swipe.
• Gandalf can knock down Goblins, Orcs and Uruk Hai with his weapons.  

Speed

In terms of Speed, Gandalf is quite fast. Here is a list of his speed feats.

• Ran from a horde of Goblins in the Goblin Lair. 
• Has matched the speed of a tumbling boulder, which also happens to go down on a slope, increasing it's speed
• In Moria, Gandalf and the Fellowship ran from a horde of Goblins. 
• Ran from the Balrog, who can travel at far distances very quickly.
• Deflected Legolas' arrows. Legolas can fire his arrows at hypersonic to lightning level speeds.

Durability
Durability wise, Gandalf.... is a badass. While his durability is actually amplified thanks to his spells, Gandalf himself does have notable feats. Here are a couple of feats for Durability

• In the games, Gandalf can tank hits from Cave Trolls, Attack Trolls and Catapult Boulders. For Reference, Cave Trolls are strong enough to break through walls while Attack Trolls can destroy steel gates and builings.
• Took numerous Fire blasts from the Balrog. Fire Blasts from the Balrog are powerful enough to destroy armies in a huge battle field.
• Took a couple of slaps and punches from The Balrog and still be okay.
• Fell down in a distance of over 100km below Moria while fighting the Balrog

Weaponry/Equipment

In terms of weapons, Gandalf has a fair share of weapons. Here is a list of Gandalf's weapons.


Glamdring: Gandalf's signature Sword. Glamdring is a very sharp sword, capable of slicing through Troll skin, which is resistant to bladed weapons.

Staff of the Wizard: The Staff of the Wizard is the primary tool and power conduit of the Istari. In the case of Gandalf, he has used two different types of Staves. The First Staff Gandalf used is made of wood. Unfortunately, after his battle with the Balrog, the Staff was lost. Luckily, after being revived, Gandalf was given an Ash Wood Staff that is virtually superior to his previous staff by up to eleven 

Narya "The Ring of Fire": Forged by Celebrimbor, a Noldorin Prince, Narya gives the wearer a resistance to Tyranny and Domination. As the name suggests, it allows the wearer to use Fire magic. In the case of Gandalf, he himself has used the Ring's power in combat and even emit flames from his staff.... to burn acorns.... XD!!!







Shadowfax

Shadowfax is Gandalf's horse. The Lord of All Horses is so fast, it can travel at great distances quickly. It is also a very powerful horse in battle, capable of charging through Armor Clad Uruk Hai.




Spells

 
  














Magic, this is where the fun begins. As a Wizard, Gandalf does not disappoint in the Spells department. While it is true that he is not the most versatile Wizard in fiction, Gandalf makes up for it with tremendous firepower. Here is a list of Spells used by Gandalf.

Wizard Bolts: Gandalf can use his magic to fire projectiles with his staff. The Projectiles themselves can also be charged up, delivering a powerful blast.











Word of Power: Gandalf can channel magic through his staff and hold it high. Once the staff hits the ground, the area around Gandalf is utterly decimated with powerful waves of devastating magic. The blasts themselves are so great, a single shockwave is enough to send an army flying backwards.








Wizard Flares: Gandalf can use his staff to create flares that scare away and even blind enemies.







Lightning Manipulation: Gandalf can conjure lightning from thin air. He has used it for both Offensive and Defensive purposes. He can use Lightning to repel attackers, even killing them once they get too close to Gandalf, and he can use it to increase Glamdring's cutting power.












Magical Push: Gandalf can use magic to push anything away. This is also used to move objects and even a large group of enemies









Staff Force: Using his Staff, Gandalf can break and move very heavy objects. In terms of combat, it can potentially shatter armor and even push back a troll.











Weapon Breaking Spell: Gandalf....... has one of the coolest spells ever. He say's "Your weapon is broken" and thus, with just the thought of a Wizard, the weapon is broken entirely. This allows Gandalf to very quickly gain the upper hand against someone who depends soley on their weapon for combat.









Bubble Shield: An extremely
powerful Spell, Gandalf conjures a Shield surrounding himself to prevent any form of damage for a short period of time. At it's maximum potential, the Shield can discharge lightning. which can stun and even kill the enemy  






Shapeshifting: Interestingly enough, Gandalf is actually a shapeshifter. It also helps him prevent transmutation and reverting back to his original state.



Abilities
Gandalf has a couple of abilities that make him a resourceful combatant. Here is a list of his abilities
 


Immortality: Being a very old man, and a very old friend, Gandalf is immortal. While not immune to death, he can live forever outside of combat.

Superhuman Stamina: Due to his battle with The Balrog, Gandalf has demonstrated to have Superhuman Stamina. He can fight for days without tiring and even run without tiring himself.

Super Senses: Gandalf has senses that surpass other humans and even animals. He used this ability to navigate around Moria.



Skillset/Power Levels
Gandalf is an Istari. What's more, being one of the oldest beings in Arda, it comes to no surprise that Gandalf is an exceptionally experienced Wizard. What is also interesting, Gandalf himself is a Maia, who are among the most powerful beings of the Middle Earth Universe. 

Despite his appearance, Gandalf is by no means just an old wizard with a walking stick. Infact, Gandalf is actually a name given to him after he was sent to Middle Earth. Gandalf's real name is Olorin. What's more, due to his age, Gandalf has an extensive amount of knowledge for Middle Earth's Lore. Even better, Gandalf has participated in countless battles against the Forces of Evil.

Gandalf is considered to be the wisest of the Five Istari, even Galadriel, who is even more powerful and older than Gandalf, believed that Gandalf should have been the leader of the Istari instead of Saruman.

And finally, Gandalf.... has different types of forms. I will mainly focus on three of them since they demonstrate the most feats that sum up his powerset


Gandalf the Grey: Gandalf the Grey is the weakest of Gandalf's Forms. However, it is by no means a weak form to begin with. Gandalf the Grey is around Mountain level in terms of overall power thanks to no small part with his encounter with the Balrog, who can destroy mountains








Gandalf the White: After his battle with the Balrog, Gandalf.... died. However, the Valar were so impressed with his accomplishment, that they decided to give Gandalf more power and even sent him back to Middle Earth to finish the war. Gandalf the White is superior to Gandalf the Grey in every way, and is given more firepower and spells and even becomes the most powerful Istari on Middle Earth, after making Saruman look worthless XD!!!!





Olorin: Olorin is Gandalf's true form. This form is said to help the Valar and fellow Maia create Arda and Middle Earth. This means, Olorin is above Planet level or even Universal level if one takes into account the amount of magic he possesses 










Feats for Gandalf

 
Of course, Gandalf has accomplished many, many feats. For the sake of this blog, I will do a couple of his feats that solidify Gandalf as a badass :D!!!

• Assisted the Valar and Maia create the Middle Earth Universe
• Helped the Fellowship cross numerous places to reach Moria.
• Defeated Saruman by curing King Theoden. The Result was astounding, Gandalf pushed Saruman at the same time, who was at the other side of Middle Earth at the time.
• Fought the Balrog, known also as Durin's Bane..... For Days and prevailed.....
• Killed numerous Goblins, Orcs, Uruk Hai and even Trolls
• Participated in the Battle of Five Armies, Battle of Helms Deep, The Battle of Minas Tirith and the Battle of Mordor, all of which resulted in victory
• Can create a ship using his pipe's smoke
• Is a very good Fireworks expert
• Can dance with Hobbits :D
• Portrayed by Ian Mckellen 

Weaknesses

  









While immensely powerful, and a experienced combatant, Gandalf is by no means invincible. What is interesting here, his Power is usually implied over solid proof. However, even taking that into account, Gandalf is still not as powerful as you would think.

You see, Gandalf can still die from physical harm. While this can result in him coming back to life overtime, it does count as a death regardless. His fight with the Balrog took a toll on his body. While Gandalf did come back to life, it took nineteen days to resurrect him. 

Also, Gandalf is restricted by the Valar from using his full power, meaning, he only uses his capacity of power while in his chosen form. Thus, the only way for Gandalf to use his maximum potential, he must become Olorin in order to achieve it.



Despite all of his flaws, Gandalf is pretty much AWESOME!!!!!!!! The greatest Wizard ever has to be Gandalf. He is a badass in both Magic and Melee combat and his role in the Lord of The Rings is timeless :D!!!!! Bottom Line, you do not want to make this Very old friend very angry!!!






Summary
Master Yoda

   








Advantages

• Absolutely crushes Gandalf in terms of Overall Speed
• The Force is much easier to control and manipulate than Magic since it only takes a simple hand gesture to use it.
• Arguably a better melee fighter
• The Lightsaber would definitely slice through Glamdring and the Staves, leaving Gandalf defenseless in terms of weapons.
• Doesn't require a power conduit to use the Force, giving Yoda superior reliability
• Is much harder to target since....... he is not even a meter tall!!!
• Due to Power Scaling, Yoda would absolutely crush Gandalf in terms of power
• Voiced by Frank Oz

Disadvantages

• No Physical Strength feats, making Yoda laughable against Gandalf
• Not quite as Durable as Gandalf
• The Force, while extremely powerful, can run out over time. This makes Yoda resort to his Lightsaber for a moment
• If Gandalf breaks the Lightsaber using the Weapon Breaking Spell, Yoda has no way to fight Gandalf in melee combat
• Mind Trick won't work on Gandalf because it only works on the weak minded.
• Far less Experienced since Gandalf is over thousands of years old.
• Less weapons than Gandalf
• Once Olorin comes into play, Yoda is going to have a much harder time.

Gandalf

Advantages

• Superior Strength and Durability
• His Experience trumps Yoda by a landslide
• Has Glamdring and his Staff for Combat, resulting in Gandalf having more weapons than Yoda
• Can simply one shot Yoda if the opportunity presents itself since Yoda isn't that durable compared to Gandalf
• Is Smarter
• Will resist the Mind Trick since Gandalf is a very strong willed being
• Once Gandalf becomes his true self, Olorin, the match up will probably end in Olorin's favor due to the massive power boost 
• His weapon breaking spell would destroy the Lightsaber, leaving Yoda completely defenseless
• Portrayed by Ian Mckellen

Disadvantages

• Even with all of his accomplishments, Gandalf is not even close to Yoda's Speed.
• His magic is not even close to the Power of the Force, which is a universal level essence.
• Due to Power Scaling, Gandalf literally can't beat Yoda's Power.
• The Lightsaber will definitely cut through Glamdring and Gandalf's Staff, leaving Gandalf completely defensless
• Relies on his Staff for his more powerful spells. Should the Staff be broken, Gandalf cannot cast anymore of his more powerful spells.
• Will have to first tag Yoda in order to achieve much..... Which would be outright difficult to do so.

Verdict

 








Well, this is a pretty interesting fight, however, in terms of just Yoda vs Gandalf, Yoda takes this pretty easily.


Firstly, while Gandalf does have the Strength and Durability edge, Yoda.......... IS MUCH FASTER!!!!!!!!! Simply put, Yoda is going to be almost impossible for Gandalf to tag in combat due to the Green Jedi Master's speed alone. It also doesn't help that Yoda's fighting style is completely "Alien" to Gandalf since it involves rolling, bouncing and hit and run attacks.....


What's more, Yoda's Lightsaber will most certainly disarm Gandalf from his weapons, meaning, once Gandalf loses his Staff, he cannot use his more powerful spells anymore. However, should Gandalf use the Weapon Breaking Spell, then yes, the Lightsaber would be destroyed....... But the thing is, Yoda doesn't have to use the Lightsaber to use the Force.


Without weapons, Yoda has a much better chance against Gandalf simply because he doesn't rely on certain items to use the Force. The Force Alone is more than enough to simply disarm Gandalf and outright push Gandalf into Space.


However, while this seems very lopsided in favor of Yoda...... We have to look at Gandalf's true form known as Olorin.

Now, once Olorin does get involved, Yoda will have a huge battle up in his sleeve. Olorin alone will most certainly give Yoda a run for his money. His power level is Planet Level to Universal Level....... This would definitely hurt Yoda's chances here.

Olorin's raw power would make it that Yoda would even die from just a single spell. This guy helped create Middle Earth for Instance..... Yoda himself, never created a planet.......... But, this happened

This is a Force Storm conjured by Emperor Palpatine. What is the point you may ask? Well, simply put, since Palpatine and Yoda are very much dead even in terms of Force Energy, Yoda's Force Energy would certainly endure Olorin's spell attacks. What is better, The Force is far more powerful than Magic because it too is Universal level in terms of Power. So, it appears we have a stalemate then right? Nope.


Olorin alone has demonstrated more consistent feats on a planetary level. Yoda on the other hand has yet, or even at all, demonstrated anything close to that power level. The problem here is that Yoda's sheer Power would be at a disadvantage against Olorin because Olorin is simply a Demi God level being......


So, in a nutshell, this match up..... Is a tie. Why is that? Well because while Yoda completely shatters Gandalf when he is Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White, Olorin alone would destroy Yoda due to consistent, planetary feats.....


This is a wash!!!!!
