The Powerpuff Girls (The Powerpuff Girls) vs Godzilla (Godzilla Franchise)

Greetings and welcome to another edition on my Who would win series and it's going to be none other than The Powerpuff Girls vs Godzilla. In this blog I will be covering some of the best feats for both sides, go into the individual powers for all characters, base stats, feats, Godzilla's Super form and Powerpuff Dynamo, and then finally, who I personally think is going to win.

Also of note, I will only include the classic Powerpuff Girls incarnation over the reboot and with Godzilla, I will also do his entire movie series plus his comic book series.  will also do a brief summary of Godzilla Earth's capabilities and a even include the Super Nintendo Godzilla game.

So, without further ado, let's begin


The Powerpuff Girls

 In the city of Townsville, Professor Utonium devised a plan to birth a new child for himself.

Sugar, Spice and everything nice. These are the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girl. So Professor Utonium started the process and was almost successful until his lab assistant, Mojo Jojo, pushed the Professor towards a chemical concoction labelled "Chemical X" and thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born. Ever since, The Powerpuff Girls were destined to defend Townsville from Crime, the forces of evil before bedtime. The Powerpuff Girls are individually named. They are.

Blossom

The Leader and the Smartest girl. She is also a very stern and caring big sister of the three girls. She is also a very tactical fighter who also happens to rival the likes of Captain America in terms of combat tactics and skills.

Bubbles

 

The Cutest, softest member of the Girls. While she may seem adorable. Do not get on her bad side because she can potentially destroy anything in her way. Still, she is also the kindest of the three girls. She can also talk to animals.

Buttercup

 

The Strongest and the toughest fighter of the girls. Buttercup is a headstrong, cocky, arrogant fighter who loves to beat her enemies til she wins. Clearly, no one should ever want to mess with Buttercup.

That's a brief summary of the girls backstory, now lets see what they can do.

Strength 

Like what the name suggests. The Powerpuff Girls are incredibly strong. Infact, they have quite alot of strength feats over the course of their original series. Here are some feats.

• Casually break through doors
• Their punches are powerful enough to send robbers, criminals and even monsters flying
• Destroyed a comet 
• Made a three headed dragon a jump rope for Bubbles to play with (LOL!!!)
• Buttercup lifted one of the three supermen, this superman was lifting Mount Neverest, Buttercup not only lifted both the Superman and the Mountain, she did it with very little effort. This also scales to all of the three girls to possibly country level in strength.
• They are strong enough to lift large portions of skyscrapers
• Bubbles whacked a Giant Eye monster with a baseball bat into space.
• Bubbles has wielded a whacking ball and threw it towards a monster. 
• Bubbles smacked the street with such force it created a shock wave that sent cars flying in a domino effect
• Bubbles punched a giant monster with such force, when it landed it created a mushroom cloud.
• Buttercup kicked a baby fish balloon monster kilometers away 
•  Buttercup threw a water tower towards a monster with such force, it was sent flying.

•  All three can pummel Giant monsters to the ground with ease. Blossom managed to do so in 3 hits

As you can see, the Powerpuff Girls are not to be underestimated in the strength department. They are extremely powerful.

 




Speed
Aside from their incredible strength, the Powerpuff Girls are also ridiculously fast. Here are some of their best feats

• Casually dodging bullets, lighting, lasers and even sun beam attacks. Not only do the Girls dodge the projectiles, they seem to do so with very little effort. 
• Blossom blocked a barrage of needles
• Bubbles caught Blossom in a Duck Duck Goose game. However, it is likely that Blossom was not trying but still, the speed they were going at was massively hypersonic to borderline FTL.
•  They can percieve the trajectory of a particle beam that was shot by MoJo JoJo. This beam should be FTL in speeds. Not only did Blossom outpace it, she had to rescue Buttercup who was too busy beating her chest like King Kong (That was hilarious).
• Blossom fought and defeated Princess Morbucks, who actually defeated Bubbles and Buttercup prior to their fight. Bubbles and Buttercup were FTL level in terms of combat speed.
• Blossom runs so fast the road beneath her heats up and even cracks
• Bubbles flew around the world in 5 seconds.
• Buttercup blitzed the Gang Green Gang.
• All of the girls had a race, they eventually reached full speed and flew so fast that they traveled 50 years into the future.
• All of the Girls casually fly around space. Sometimes without any space equipment. 

 The Powerpuff Girls are simply amazing in terms of speed. Clearly, they are extremely powerful in both strength and speed







Durability
With a very impressive stat level, the Powerpuff Girls are also very durable. Here are some feats.

• Casually tanks blows from criminals, monsters, aliens and the RowdyRuff Boys. Some of their enemies casually destroy buildings
• Bullets bounce off them
•  Survived a city destroying nuclear missile
• Dive and swam into a volcano into the Earth's Core
• Blossom took a hit from a balled up dragon monster thrown by Buttercup and was sent through a building. She was fine.
• Acid powerful enough to melt metal just messes their hair
• Bubbles tanked a level 11 death laser beam by Mojo Jojo. She eventually broke from her restrains more pissed off than ever and destroyed Mojo
• Buttercup tanked Blossom's heat vision
• All the girls no sold Powerpuff Dynamo's heat vision, this heat vision is powerful enough to vaporize anything it came into contact with.

The Powerpuff Girls are badasses. They excel in strength, speed and durability. Really, they are a force to be reckoned with.





Abilities
Like all great superheroes, The Powerpuff Girls are armed with abilities. Some are very powerful and some.... well, you will see XD!!!






Blossom

• Heat vision
• Ice Breath. Blossom's ice breath is powerful enough to stop a meteor right before impact.   
• Although not a super power, Blossom's bow acts as an explosive bomb when she takes it off.  

  

Bubbles

• Sonic Screams. Bubbles screams so loud that the shockwave shatters glass
• Energy Aura. Though only used once, it is one of Bubbles' most powerful abilities. It creates and aura around Bubbles and even projects Lasers around her, hitting their targets
•  Can communicate with animals (Adorable!!!!) And she even speaks their language. (claps)
• Speaks Spanish

 Buttercup

• Rolls her tongue. :(

Aside from individual powers, The Powerpuff Girls have the same abilities. These are.

Powerpuff Dynamo 

Although not likely to be used in the fight since it was discarded by the Girls, Powerpuff Dynamo still needs a mention. It is a giant robot designed for last resort purposes that are otherwise too much for the Girls to handle. Here are some feats

•  
•  Heat Vision: Powerful enough to vaporize monsters and buildings
• Superior Stats: The Powerpuff Dynamo is vastly superior to the Girls in terms of Stats. 
• Cutting Edge Bow
• Flight.
• Uses her twin tails to fly and destroy buildings.
• Emits a beam so powerful it destroyed a huge portion of Townsville. This should be a Multi City Level attack. The Girls survived it.

 

Weaknesses

Despite their legendary stats and power set. The Powerpuff Girls are far from invincible. They can be defeated by anything that is either more powerful than them or even clever enough to outsmart them to the point that they are literally defenseless if they are not in control of the situation at hand. Even raw power is enough to knock them out. 

  

Still, despite their flaws, the Powerpuff Girls are clearly badasses. They will do whatever it takes to get the job done for the safety of Townsville. Without them, I would have not been a superhero fan like I am today :D!!!!   

  

















Godzilla

 In 1954, there was a discovery of the century. A monster that was long thought to be extinct was found. With the power to destroy all life on earth, it's goal is simple: To be the King of the Monsters. During the course of it's lifetime, this monster has defeated Kaiju, Aliens, Gods. This monster Destroyed Japan, USA, Hell, Heaven, Planets, Galaxies. This monster is known as..... Gojira or better known as Godzilla.

That is a brief summary of Godzilla's backstory, now lets see what he can do.

Strength

As you expect from Godzilla, he is extremely powerful. Infact, he may look basic but oh boy, do you underestimate him already. Here are his best strength feats

• Casually, even effortlessly lifts Kaiju around. 
• Lifted King Ghidorah numerous times. Ghidorah weighs over 100 thousand tons.
• Pushed back attacks from the likes of Mechagodzilla, King Kong, King Ghidorah, Destroyah, Space Godzilla and other Kaiju.
• Can swing his tail with such force it sent Angurius flying. Angurius even hit Rodan who is Hypersonic in speed
• Pulled off Ebirah's arms off. Ebirah is a Giant Lobster.
•  Punched and even whacked Olympian Gods to thin air.
• Threw King Ghidorah right up into space
• Overpowered Kaiju on a regular basis
• Destroys cities without any form of effort.
• Destroyed Mountains (Godzilla Earth) 

Speed 

Despite popular belief, Godzilla is actually a very fast combatant. Here are some surprising feats.

• Can travel around Japan in minutes.
• Reacts to attacks from Mothra, Rodan, Megagurius, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Space Godzilla and Battra. All of whom are Massively hypersonic. Mothra herself is FTL since she can fly around space.
• Equals in combat speed to King Kong and Mechagodzilla.
• Can fight while in space.
• Can swim fast enough to travel from Hawaii to San Francisco in a day
• React's to attacks from Gods.
• Though used once. He has traveled 500 light years in one second......... (Best feat ever!!!!)  

Durability

The pinnacle of Godzilla's stats. His durability is legendary and it is the core of his already legendary power. Here are some of his best feats 

• Military Weapons are practically useless against him
• Tanks planet level to solar system level attacks
• Survived 2 black holes.
• Swam through magma with nothing harming him
• Took a Meteor right in the face and did not flinch in the least. The size of the Meteor is comparable to the one that caused the extinction of the Dinosaurs.
• Tanked blasts from Gods.

Size

Godzilla's size is different over the years. I will use his most recent versions as sources of reference. His Legendary version weighs 90 thousand tons and is 108 meters tall while Shin Godzilla is 118 meters tall.... Godzilla's Earth size is 300 meters tall!!!! Who is he? Does he have the same condition as Robert Wadlow? XD!!!!!   

Abilities

Godzilla sure is powerful. But he is not without his powers. Here is a list of powers he has used.

•   Atomic Breath. This is Godzilla's signature ability. It emits a highly radioactive breath that destroys anything it touches. It is also extremely fast, capable of tagging the likes of Mothra, Rodan, Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla while they are flying. It even tagged Gods.
• Red Spiral Ray. An amped up version of his atomic breath. This time, after Rodan revived him, Godzilla's breath turns red and is vastly more powerful than his original Atomic breath 
• Nuclear Pulse. A defensive ability that allows Godzilla to emit a pulse of nuclear energy from his body to stop foes from grappling him. It is an extremely powerful technique.

  

  

• Flight. Yes, this is real. It allows Godzilla to reach Hypersonic speeds..... XD!!!
• Regeneration. Godzilla's regen is extremely powerful. It is capable of regrowing his entire body in a day with just a beating heart, regenerate his brain and head, heal from devastating attacks and all round keeps Godzilla up and running.
• Can Talk............. Moving on XD!!!
• Spinal Beams. Godzilla can now emit atomic beams from his spine. These are powerful enough to destroy cities with very little effort
• Can do a flying drop kick.... Yes, this is real
  
• 

• Tail Beam. Basically Godzilla emits a radioactive beam from his tail.

• Magnetic powers. Used after calling down lighting to pull back Mechagodzilla

Super Godzilla

While not likely used in the fight, Super Godzilla is an amped up version of Godzilla that is used only in the Super Nintendo Game. He has vastly increased stats and a 50% reduced damage mitigation. He also has very powerful Abilities.

• Energy Tail Attack.
• Shoulder Ram
•  Super Nova Breath
• Super Navel Blast
•  Super Punch.

All of Super Godzilla's Attacks are vastly superior to his original form. Super Godzilla also defeated Bagan. Who is more powerful than Godzilla.

Weaknesses

Despite his incredible power and legendary status as a badass. Godzilla is not completely invincible. Those who possess any form of the Oxygen Destroyer theoretically have a huge advantage against him. The Oxygen Destroyer is the same weapon that killed Godzilla in 1954. Another weakness for Godzilla is that he is very rarely a tactical combatant and relies on sheer power to win. Enemies who are clever enough to devise a plan can beat Godzilla. Despite popular belief, Godzilla doesn't actually have weaknesses to ice or electricity anymore. Also, the famous two brained weakness he had in Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 is completely muted after the film. Meaning it doesn't harm him anymore.

Still, despite his flaws, Godzilla is simply put, the most badass monster ever!!!!!!!! Long live the king!!!!!

 Summary

The Powerpuff Girls

 

  

 

  

Advantages

• Leagues faster than Godzilla (Though Godzilla's 500 light years feat trumps them, it is unlikely a consistent feat to be taken into account)
• Way more abilities than Godzilla
• Defeated Giant Monsters, Godzilla, excluding his Marvel appearance, never fought anyone like the Powerpuff Girls
•  Strategically superior to Godzilla. Blossom for instance outsmarted characters who are genius level intellects
• Can kill Godzilla by throwing him to the ends of time. AKA, Into Space
• Can survive a couple of Godzilla's atomic breath attacks
•  Size manipulation makes things very difficult for Godzilla, possibly killing him if they can reach his brain
• Theoretically can fight Godzilla to the point he might give up.
• Bubbles can end the fight by asking Godzilla to go home.

Disadvantages

• Despite fighting Giant monsters regularly, The Powerpuff Girls never fought a monster with the same power set as Godzilla
• While incredibly strong and durable, Godzilla has done way more impressive feats in terms of strength and durability
• Can't exactly bypass Godzilla's regeneration easily.
• Can die from the Red Spiral Ray beams. These beams killed Space Godzilla and even Gods.
• Despite having the speed advantage, Godzilla will eventually tag the Girls over time 
• Less experienced in combat
• Has yet to have a very successful movie
• Their physical attacks are not going to work on Godzilla. Even Powerpuff Dynamo is useless
• Their abilities are either little or useless against Godzilla.
• If Super Godzilla is used, there is no contest.

Godzilla

   

 Advantages

• Superior Strength and Durability
• Regeneration is a game changer if it is not exploited by the Powerpuff Girls
• More experienced in combat
• His abilities, while basic, are much more devastating than all of the abilities used by The Powerpuff Girls
• Sheer size is a hindrance to the girls. 
• Has fought opponents that gradually outnumbered him. Even defeated them easily. So the Powerpuff Girls numeric advantage may not matter to Godzilla
• His 500 light years feat puts him in a very easy position to win the fight (Though unlikely to be used)
• Super Godzilla ends the fight easily. Even if Powerpuff Dynamo is involved
• Way more impressive feats

  


Disadvantages

• Outright destroyed in speed. While Godzilla is very accurate with his atomic breath, The Powerpuff Girls clearly beat him in terms of reactionary, combat and travel speed
• Less abilities than the Powerpuff Girls
• While more experienced, Godzilla never fought anything like the Powerpuff Girls. this is excluding his Marvel appearance.
• Is not even close to  being intelligent as the Girls. Even Buttercup could outsmart Godzilla
• If Bubbles asked Godzilla to go home, it's game over.
• Has no counter to their size manipulation. 
• Can still die from The Powerpuff Girls if they exploited his weaknesses or throw Godzilla into space. 

Conclusion

Childhood, boy was it a great time of my life. The Powerpuff Girls, the sole reason why I love superheroes and Godzilla, The iconic hero of mine that has stayed with me throughout my entire life. I never thought I would ever wanted these two (or four) legendary characters duke it out in what is easily, the most epic match up I will ever dream of. Infact, this is the ultimate dream match up of mine. All my life I always wanted to see the Powerpuff Girls fight Godzilla and see who will come out on top. All my life I want a fight that exceeded my expectations as both a very close and a very destructive fight. And finally, all my life I wanted to know.... When will I ever get the answer? Well, after over 20 years of loving both The Powerpuff Girls and Godzilla, I finally reached a decision. The definitive answer to this question is.........................

 

 It is over!!!! It is finally over!!!! The question is finally answered!!!! Godzilla wins!!!!!!!! 

Anyway, back to business. After a very long, very intense fight, the King of the Monsters will win this epic match up for 2 reasons.

1. Stats. While the Powerpuff Girls are indeed very powerful, they did have the edge in terms of speed. However, despite this, Godzilla has defeated foes who are vastly superior to him in speed before. He even defeated Olympian Gods, who are also FTL. What is better for Godzilla is that his Strength level is way above anything the Powerpuff Girls are capable of. If Godzilla can casually destroy cities with no effort, I do not see how the Powerpuff Girls can somehow overpower the King of the Monsters in a power contest. They have destroyed Meteors yes..... .But Godzilla did the same thing without flinching. The Powerpuff Girls may try to hit Godzilla but Godzilla won't feel anything. Unless it is aimed at his vital organs like his eyes, it might give the Girls a minor advantage.... However, the thing is, Godzilla's regeneration comes into play and unfortunately, the Powerpuff Girls cannot exactly exploit the Regen quickly enough before it is too late. So Godzilla is too strong and too durable but how is he gonna kill the Powerpuff Girls? Well....

2. His abilities are just ridiculously more powerful. His atomic breath is capable of destroying Kaiju and cities easily. And this is just his blue atomic breath. If he used Red Spiral Ray, The Powerpuff Girls are dead. No only does his red spiral ray vastly overpower the Powerpuff Girls abilities alone, Godzilla has a Nuke Pulse than can stop them from touching Godzilla at all. Overall, Godzilla is simply too powerful for the Girls to handle.

But wait? What about them throwing Godzilla into space? 

Well, that is possible yes.... But sadly, that has to be achieved via lifting Godzilla first, who would nuke pulse them so they let go of him before they threw him to space anyway.

But can Bubbles ask Godzilla to go home?

Oh yes, this is likely. But this is a Death Battle. That sort of stuff is not exactly a way to kill the opponent. The outcome has to result in death and unfortunately, Bubbles asking Godzilla to go home is just useless.

Overall, in a epic battle of childhood icons, Godzilla will eventually prevail. Sorry Powerpuff Girls. I love you with all my heart. But Godzilla is just too strong, too durable, too destructive and too badass.

The Winner is Godzilla
