Quick Thoughts on Rukia vs Kiryu

Greetings and Welcome to a Quick Thoughts Blog on the Match up between Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach vs Kiryu from the Godzilla and Toho Series.

Now, this is actually quite a interesting match up but as I researched deeper, it turns out, there really isn't much to talk about since the Rules of Bleach already paint a clear picture on who wins......

Yeah..... Rukia pretty much has this fight even before it started. Why? Well in the World of Bleach, there are spiritual beings known as Shinigami, who are literally invisible to the human eye. Since Kiryu is piloted by Akane, who is Human, she is literally in a massive disadvantage against Rukia, who is not only impossible to detect, but also impossible to target with Kiryu's Weapon Systems. I mean, as much as I love Kiryu, it ain't touching Rukia at all.

But let's take this up a notch. Let's unleash Kiryu's Elephant in the Room. Godzilla's Spirit. Will it even matter? Well it is already established that Shinigami are Spiritual Entities so yet, now Rukia's Invisibility is nullified...... and she still wins since she is also MUCH Faster.

Despite the change, Rukia has her precision to clinch a victory over Kiryu and the Spirit of Godzilla in a easy fight. You also have to factor in the Energy Reserves for Kiryu. Using too much Power will drain it and since Rukia is gonna avoid all of it's attacks, we now have a fight of attrition. Yes, you can say Kiryu is more Durable. But Rukia's Speed is the real game changer here. Rukia is fast enough to avoid Spiritual Blasts that reach Faster than Light which is more than enough to be remained untouched. Granted, can Rukia destroy Kiryu? Well, she doesn't have to literally overpower Kiryu, she can just wait it out until it runs out of power and then she wins automatically.

Thanks to her Shinigami Invisibility, Speed and Precision. I think Rukia has what it takes to beat Kiryu. There are other factors like the Bankai and Kiryu's Absolute Zero Cannon, but overall, Rukia simply had more advantages to net her the win.

The Winner is Rukia Kuchiki

Now, an important Update

Thank you for reading my Series...... Yes, I actually have an announcement to make.

I simply did not have enough time to do Rukia vs Kiryu so I had to condense it into a Verdict Section. Lately, my life has been quite a nightmare as of now because of workplace related stuff and also, I am now in my Thirties, I have so much going on that my time with these blogs is getting slimmer and slimmer each day.

Unfortunately, this is when I am gonna announce that..... I will be out of my Who Would Win Series for at least a year or two. But, I want to thank all of my Fans and Friends who have motivated me to make these blogs and I am glad I was able to make as much as I did.

That being said, I will return to my Who Would Win Series after Two Years. But until then, I need a break and I need to focus on Personal Matters.

Farewell. And Remember.... George Hancock XD!!!!

Season 7: El Gigante (Resident Evil) vs The Guardian Ape (Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice)

Greetings and Welcome to another edition of my Who Would Win Series and it is going to be a Boss Battle between the El Gigante from Resident Evil vs The Guardian Ape from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

This blog is actually not gonna be too long since both combatants really do not exactly have the longest resume in terms of Feats and Accomplishments. This is basically Stat Blocks all over the Board. Which means I will go into

  • Stats
  • X-Factors
  • Weaponry
  • Abilities

That's...... Basically It XD!!!!

Without Further ado, let's begin.

El Gigante

The El Gigante is actually a Test Subject for an Experiment done by the Cultist Group known as the "Los Iluminados".

A Gigantic Behemoth that is Four Times the Height of a Human and Way Stronger and Way More Intimidating, this B.O.W (Bio Organic Weapon) was a Monster of Epic Proportions.

Now, that is a brief background for the El Gigante. Let's see what it can do

Stats

El Gigante is a Strong Brute. Possessing Gigantic Strength, this behemoth can cause alot of Mayhem.

Here are some noteworthy Feats for Strength and Durability

  • Can carry large Trees and use them as clubs.
  • Can grapple Leon with enough force to break bones.
  • Has endured Boulder's Smashing behind his back
  • Took Shotgun, Assault Rifle, TMP, Grenades and Critical Hits.
  • It's Parasite (I will get into Later) can survive multiple Gunshots and Knife Strikes

Parasite (Los Plagas)

The Los Plagas Parasite is what keeps El Gigante Alive. Infact, this also adds more Durability since it is also a extra layer of Life in a sense. However, as seen across the Resident Evil games, Parasitic organisms have a weakness to Flash Bang Grenades and, well, they are also not a fan of Knives....... Haha.

Sufficient Damage to the Parasite will not only kill it, it also removes it's control of it's host, which also kills them effectively. Then again, characters like Jill Valentine were infected but were cured thanks to specific circumstances (Though the Parasite that infected Jill is different, it still had the same function as any other Parasite)

Weaponry

Well, as you can see, El Gigante only used a Tree..... Large, Hard Hitting. It gets the Job Done.

Then again, it has its Arms and Feet for Crushing and Grappling. Scary indeed

It also has a Partner?

Well, this is actually a different boss fight featuring more El Gigante but yeah, Two at once? That is scary!!!!!!  And one of them is labelled "Grazed" which is interesting, considering it now wears more armor that gives it a bit more resistance to damage.

Weaknesses

Unfortunately, El Gigante IS VERY SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, even jogging away from it is pretty much enough to escape it. Yes, it takes long strides but the catch is that it's Attack Speed is super slow. No wonder why Leon had little trouble avoiding it's attacks, it is as slow as a Sloth.

Added that this guy is also very easy to defeat once you realize, it is predictable and very basic with it's attacks. It also lacks any notable abilities to compensate for it's sluggish movement.

Finally, as mentioned before, once you kill the Parasite, El Gigante is dead Permanently. Oooof

Still, El Gigante is a memorable Boss with Tremendous Strength and a Cool Design :D!!!

 The Guardian Ape

The Guardian Ape is one of the Bosses in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

An Immortal Being, the Ape actually lived a Peaceful life with it's Mate. Unfortunately, while the Ape lived longer, his mate sadly passed onto the Afterlife. Thus, this Lonely Ape decided to Guard a little Flower known as "The Lotus of the Palace" because it's Aroma would attract a New Mate.

Unfortunately, those plans were cut Short (No Pun Intended) by Legendary Shinobi Warrior Sekiro, who killed the Guardian Ape and the rest was history........... haha......

Not really, The Ape actually was defeated but not fully killed, you see, it eventually met Sekiro one last time before his descent into Mibu Village (Ashina's Depths). Despite it's new Mate coming over after a howling call, The Ape still lost against Sekiro and was finally put down thanks to his Mortal Blade.

The Legendary Ape finally moved into the Afterlife with his newfound mate............ How Tragic.....

That is a basic but generalized background for the Guardian Ape. Let's look at what Donkey Kong's Cousin is capable of.

 Stats

The Ape is actually very versatile in terms of Stats. Strong, Fast and Surprisingly Durable. It has Feats across all Categories. Let's take a look.

  • Strong enough to swipe away Thin Trees with a backhand
  • Threw.................It's own Feces at Sekiro at High Speeds............ Hmmmmmm XD!!!!
  • Can grapple Sekiro and slam him to the Ground with enough force to break bones.
  • Can jump across 20-30ft across in a single bound.
  • Can pummel it's fists and slam the ground with comparable speed to Sekiro's Sword Strikes, Who Can block bullets.
  • Endured Firebased Attacks such as The Flame Vent, which can burn with greater efficiency when Oil is applied.
  • Did tank alot of Sekiro's Sword Strikes, the same strikes that can cause posture damage to the likes of The Armored Warrior and The Chained Ogre.

Parasite

The Centipedes in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are actually Parasitic entities that grant "Immortality" to their hosts. Infact, the only real way to permanently kill them is to use the Mortal Blade. This pretty much cements the host as Unkillable, so long as they do not experience the Mortal Blade up close and personal.

Which is also another factor to consider for the Ape since......

Yep, The Ape now can still do a Second Wind when it is Headless. Now renamed "Headless Ape". Such a Horror to behold!!!

Weaponry

The Ape actually only used one Weapon. However, it is gruesome in a sense that this is the same No Dachi (Long Katana) that was pierced through it's Throat. When Sekiro Decapitated the Ape, it became Headless and now is able to wield the No Dachi on one hand and holds it's severed head in  the other for sight.

Obviously, this blade is sharp and deadly. At the hands of the Ape, the force behind it's strikes are astronomical. Almost to the point of being unblockable if not timed properly with the deflection system of the game.

Abilities

The Scream

The Ape actually has Three main Abilities. However, Two of them are completely exclusive to it's Original Phase when it still was "A Head of the Game" XD!!!!!

Phase 1

  • A Fart...... No Seriously, the Ape Farts on Sekiro's Face if he is behind it. It causes no damage but it emits a Poisonous Cloud that if Sekiro stays for too long, he will be "Poisoned".
  • And...... The Poop Throw....... Yep. Had to mention it again. It is thrown at High Speeds and has the Force Comparable to a Speeding Car................ Hahahahhahahahah!!!

The Poop Throw....... Let's Move on XD!!!

Phase 2

It wants more "Scream Time" XD!!!

The Final Phase with the Ape possesses one of the most dangerous abilities in the Game. It puts its head back to it's neck for a few seconds and emits a Roar. However, this is not just any roar, when this Roar is triggered, Sekiro must escape from it's vicinity, otherwise, if he stayed for too long, he will suffer from Terror Build up. If the Terror Meter is full, Sekiro will die from sheer "Terror" XD!!!!! But yes, it means that it is highly effective against foes who feel fear.

Awwwwww.... Check this out!!!

A Lovely Couple!!!! XD!!!

Yep. The Ape actually had a Third Round Against Sekiro later in the game, but at one point, it called for it's New Mate to give a helping hand. Unfortunately, just like before, The Ape and now it's Mate were defeated..... Which means......

Weaknesses

Despite it's Versatile and Mobile Moveset and capabilities, the Ape is actually pretty easy to take down once you pinpoint it's weaknesses.

Firstly, it lacks solid Defenses against Strong attacks. This is especially scary when a Sword swing from Sekiro can chip about 3% of it's Health and even cause posture Damage. Two birds in one stone.

Posture is another problem, if the Ape's Posture Meter is full, it becomes susceptible to a Deathblow, which can finish him..... At least it is immortal though, so when it goes Headless, it now has a Second Wind right? Yeah but....

If anyone has something that nullifies Immortality, then the Ape's Chances go downhill from that point. If you can take away it's immortality by killing the Parasitic Centipede, you pretty much permanently killed him effectively.

Another flaw for the Ape is that it is vulnerable to Firecrackers and Fire based attacks. Firecrackers will stun it for a brief moment while Flame attacks with do serious damage when at point blank range. Also can stun the Ape for a moment.

Still, The Guardian Ape is cool, Funny, Scary, full of personality and finally had it's moment with it's Mate in the Afterlife for Eternity :D!!!

(Excuse me for the Sarcastic Joke XD!!!)

Summary

El Gigante

Advantages

  • Stronger Physically
  • More Durable
  • Two El Gigante vs The Guardian Ape and It's Mate means it is more Strength and Durability in a 2v2 fight
  • Stronger Grappling Technique

Disadvantages

  • Much Slower
  • Despite it's Power, El Gigante simply has no way to bypass the Guardian Ape's Immortality
  • Can pretty much Die from the Ape's Scream
  • Two Apes vs Two El Gigante Adds more Speed and Mobility for the Apes

The Guardian Ape

Advantages

  • Much Faster
  • Immortal
  • Scream literally one shots the El Gigante
  • 2v2 with it's Mate adds more Mobility and Speed

Disadvantages

  • Weaker Physically
  • Not Quite as Durable
  • It's Grappling Techniques do not have the same Crushing Pressure as the El Gigante
  • 2v2 With it's Mate cannot compare in terms of Strength and Durability

The Verdict

In a Rather interesting match up. El Gigante vs The Guardian Ape did bring alot of factors into the table. However, this ends up being a massive stomp once you realize, one is killable by all means and the other can only be killed by specific circumstances. In this case, The Guardian Ape "Cannot Lose" This fight.

While Stats actually do not really matter here since we already established the Immortality Factor, No matter how Powerful the El Gigante is, if it cannot permanently kill the Guardian Ape, it pretty much is kicking a Dead Horse. On the flip side, the fact that the Ape has Much greater Speed also gives it an advantage against El Gigante. So really, this is looking grim for El Gigante but it gets worse.

But, let's assume that El Gigante will Decapitate The Ape with a bit of Luck. Let's Assume he does use the Blade to remove it's head. Well......

Yep. Phase 2 suddenly comes by and now we have the Ape with a Sword that can slice up El Gigante. If Leon's Knife can cause damage against El Gigante, I have no doubt that the Guardian Ape's Sword would be astronomical against El Gigante. But the real deal here is that the Ape has it's Scream that solidifies it's claim to victory.

The Finisher

Since El Gigante would be too slow to escape the Scream, it would suffer from Terror Buildup and then finally die the moment it felt "Fear". Oooof.

But then, 2v2? Two El Gigantes vs 2 Apes? Nahhhh, Not much different. Again, the Scream alone pretty much one shots both at once since again, Too Slow and Terror Build up. The Ape's Mate is also too quick for both El Gigante's to Catch anyway. Even if you remove her out of the fight, both El Gigante's against the Lone Headless Ape still cannot kill the Ape permanently since it is immortal and both have no way to nullify it's immortality.

Looks like this Fight is just a mismatch. Trust me. "Evil Certainly Died Twice" XD!!!!

The Winner is the Guardian Ape (And it's Mate)

Season 7: Hattori Shizuka (Strike Witches) vs Wave (Akame Ga Kill)

Greetings and Welcome to another Edition of Who Would Win and it is going to be Hattori Shizuka from Strike Witches vs Wave from Akame Ga Kill.

As usual, I will be going through the Stats, Weapons, Abilities, Feats and Weaknesses. However, there is also a twist to this match up in a sense that "Scaling" does determine the winner of this fight. I will explain later down the line.

Wave's Info is a composition of the Anime and Manga of Akame Ga Kill. He will of course have access to his usual equipment from both mediums so even Composition wise, Wave is still presented in a generalized portrayal.

Now, let's see which combatant wearing Navy Blue Color Outfits is going to triumph.

Hattori Shizuka

Hattori Shizuka is one of the supporting characters of the World Witches Series, Strike Witches.

Born in Fuso Japan into a Military Family, Shizuka's Early Life was all about "Call of Duty"

(Of course this is not referring to the video game series Call of Duty hahahah)

Shizuka's Father however passed away when she was very young. Leaving her to support her family on her own, this gave Shizuka the personality of a "Military Drill Sergeant" XD!!!!!!

Speaking of Military Stuff, Shizuka became a Student of Mio Sakamoto, one of the Original Officers of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, better known as "The Strike Witches".

A First Year Cadet in the Imperial Navy, Shizuka eventually honed in on her skills to be the best Witch she could possibly be. Eventually, she met her idol, Yoshika Miyafuji. After Saving Yoshika from a dangerous outcome that involved a Waterfall, Shizuka insisted on coming with Yoshika when she boarded the Amagi as a medical assistant/doctor. Unfortunately, a Neuroi attack on the Amagi proved to be quite a hurdle, until the Strike Witches came and saved the Amagi from certain Doom. Oh yeah, Shizuka eventually joined the Strike Witches after the ordeal, for the purpose of looking after Yoshika and to ensure that she does her Duty with Discipline and Loyalty.

During her time with the Strike Witches, Shizuka has participated in numerous conflicts against the Neuroi, eventually leading up to retaking Berlin in a battle to behold.

That is a generalized and simple backstory of Shizuka, let's see what the new recruit is capable of.

Striker Unit

Shizuka pilots the Yamanishi Shinden N1K2-J, a Striker Unit with a good balance of maneuverability and Speed.

Striker Units are the main equipment for combat for the Strike Witches, and any other military organization that utilizes girls with magical powers. You see, the Striker Units were originally designed for aerial combat and it was Miyafuji Ichiro (Yoshika Miyafuji's father) who improved on the design to make it the best possible Striker Unit yet.

Background stuff aside, A Striker Unit is first powered up by the user's magical source. Some Striker Units have varying requirements of Magic to be used and in turn, can produce both incredible and dangerous results.

Weaponry

Shizuka's Main and Only Weapon she has used is the Type 99-2 Model 2 Kai. Infact, this is the exact same firearm that Mio Sakamoto used during her time as a Witch before her retirement.

The design of the Firearm is actually a Japanese version of the German Oerlikon FF/FFL Autocannons, and became an aircraft autocannon during World War 2.

The Machine Gun fires 520 20x72RB Rounds per minute and it is extremely effective against Neuroi Craft. It can literally shred through Armor like butter :D!!!!!

Due to it's Light Weight, Shizuka can fire with low recoil kickback, which gives her superior accuracy :D!!!

 Magic

Shizuka using Magic to Fly with her Striker Unit

Shizuka is a Witch. What a Witches known for? Magic!!!!! (Hair Demons? hahah, Wrong Witch)

Each witch uses magic to give themselves animal features such as Ears and a Tail based on their Familiar. Shizuka's Familiar is a Shikoku-Ken.

Shizuka has the distinction of having the most basic use of Magic out of all the characters in Strike Witches, Not specialized in anything, no unique, fancy abilities such as Perrine's Electricity and Eila's Foresight. That said, Shizuka does have One Ability which is........

Magical Shield

Shizuka using her Magical Shield

The Magical Shield is used for both Offense and Defense. The Shield is able to block Neuroi Beam attacks, that break down material to a sub atomic level. As an offensive ability, it can be used to ram against foes with such force, it completely destroys them with Velocity and a Penetrating Blow. Very dangerous indeed

The Shield can also protect all sides, though it can still require great concentration to trigger the shield in order to do so. But, it gets the job done with flying colors.

As Ratbag the Orc once said "The Best Offense is a Good Offense!!!!"

Stats

Unfortunately, out of all the Witches, Shizuka actually doesn't really have many feats to take that are otherwise impressive by World Witche's Standard Level of Power. That said, the term "Scaling" will help her. Here are the Feats for Shizuka with regards to Speed and Durability

 Speed

  • Scaling to other Witches, Shizuka can pretty much dodge Light Speed Beams from the Neuroi Craft. Sometimes, Shizuka was able to actually dodge Beam attacks from all directions at once.
  • Standard Flight Speed is comparable to Lynette, Perrine and Pre-Boosted Yoshika, all of whom can travel at Sub Sonic Speeds.
  • Did save Yoshika from falling off a Waterfall.

Durability

  • Scales to Lynette's Feat, who blocked Neuroi beams that were capable of destroying Battleships.
  • As Mentioned before, Shizuka's Magical Shield protects her from Neuroi Beam Attacks, which break down material to a sub atomic level. This means, the Shield is preventing Shizuka from melting down.
  • Did block numerous Beam strikes from a Country Wide Onslaught of Neuroi Craft. At least, before she was shot down.

Skills

Shizuka is actually a greenhorn in terms of skills. While she is inexperienced in combat since she is a First Year. Shizuka is still a competent fighter. She is however, very good in terms of perception and intel gathering. Shizuka is also proficient with her Firearm, having superb Accuracy and Firepower at her disposal, Shizuka is capable of doing wonders when given the chance.

Feats for Hattori Shizuka

Unfortunately, Shizuka is actually almost featless in terms of Quantities of Accomplishments since she is a First Year Witch. That said, she does have a few noteworthy moments. Here is the handful of stuff for Shizuka.

  • Has officially, and cleanly, destroy numerous Neuroi Craft
  • Saved Yoshika Miyafuji twice
  • Did hold on against the Country Size Army of Neuroi Craft before crashing down
  • Voiced by Cristina Vee (English) and Uchida Aya (Japanese)
  • Is actually, very attractive <3!!!!!!
  • Replaced Mio Sakamoto's Slot as a Regular Witch for the 501st......... I guess that's ok? Then again, Sakamoto retired so I give Shizuka the benefit of a doubt hahahah

Weaknesses

It goes without saying but if I had to do the Top 5 most featless characters of Who Would Win, Shizuka would be one of those characters. Unfortunately, she has to rely on scaling in order to be seen as impressive to begin with.

That said, even with the scaling chain, Shizuka still lacks Skills and Experience compared to her fellow comrades. We are talking about a First Year Witch. Even Yoshika Miyafuji achieved far more than Shizuka based on her Magic Power Alone, which Shizuka lacks, which also means.....

Shizuka's Magic, as mentioned before, is very, very basic and she doesn't actually have any unique abilities that make her special. Sorry, but this Witch is also the weakest of the bunch. No Specialization and her Magic is Standard at best.

Despite this, Shizuka is brave, smart and adorable. She is a fun character :D!!!!

Wave

Wave is one of the supporting characters of Akame  Ga Kill. Born and raised at the country side near the Ocean, Wave actually had a life full of "Seafaring Adventure". In fact Wave joined the Navy at one point in time.

Eventually, Wave was in possession of a Teigu (Imperial Arms) known as "Grand Chariot" and, heard a calling from the Empire at the Capital.

Wave Joined a Special Police Force led by General Esdeath, and ultimately, the Task Force Became Known as "The Jaegers".

Since Joining the Jaegers, Wave actually participated in numerous conflicts against the Rebels, The Wild Hunt and even the Assassin Group known as "Night Raid".

However, despite his allegiance to Esdeath and the Empire, at heart, Wave is actually a good man. One of the very few who actually isn't corrupt. Talk about deep characterization :D!!!!

After the War Ended, when the Revolutionary Army ultimately won the Freedom of the People against the Empire, Wave eventually married Kurome, and lived a peaceful life together.

That's a General Background for Wave. Now, lets see what this Navy Blue Badass is Capable of.

Imperial Arms/Teigu

Grand Chariot

Wave possesses a Teigu known as "Grand Chariot". This Teigu is a Sword that, once triggered with enough willpower and determination, incases Wave in Armor that makes him a badass.

It is actually worth noting that Grand Chariot is a more Offensive Based Armor Type Teigu compared to Tatsumi's Incursio Armor.

We will go into the scaling chain soon. So let's look deeper into Wave's Capabilities both in base and Grand Chariot Form

 Physical Stats

Wave, by all intents and purposes, is an absolute monster in terms of Strength, Speed and Especially Durabilty. Here is a list of Physical Stat Feats for Wave.

Strength

  • Threw a punch that was powerful enough to send Syura flying backwards to a length of 13ft. This is without Grand Chariot's Armor.
  • Reasonably should scale to Base Tatsumi, who managed to slice up a Danger Beast at the very beginning of Akame Ga Kill.

Grand Chariot Strength Feats

  • Was able to outmatch Incursio's 1 and 2 forms. Incursio 1 in particular was strong enough to punch Nyau towards a wall, which also resulted with huge cracks and Nyau's death. Incursio 2 also performed a feat when it sent a Mountain Sized Mech, flying backwards.
  • Managed to punch Akame towards multiple Trees with a Single Punch, this actually damaged but not severely hurt Akame.
  • Can be on par with Tatsumi's Incursio 3 Form, which sent the Shikoutazer Mech Backwards with a punch, which is the size of a Mountain.
  • Grand Fall overpower's defenses thanks to the Momentum and Velocity of Wave's Kicks. Speaking of Velocity........
  • Managed to Crack Incursio. That's right, Wave actually cracked Armor that is durable enough to take Shikoutazer's Beam Blasts, that can destroy countries!!!

Speed

  • Is around Mach 1 Speeds.
  • Is the only character to physically, and cleanly, hit Akame in a fair fight. Mind you, Akame was distracted during her time with Wave but that doesn't take away the fact that Wave did beat her Combat Reflexes, which reach nanosecond speeds. Of course, this is Base Akame.
  • Flight Speed is on par with Tatsumi's Incursio, Which is Subsonic. This is only Incursio 1 and 2 though. Later forms can reach far beyond thanks to dodging laser blasts from Shikoutazer.
  • Did manage to fend off Akame's Attack Speed. Though he still got alot of hits from the Murasame (Wave at least didn't die since Grand Chariot's Armor protected him from Murasame's One Cut Kill Effects)

Durability

  • Grand Chariot does provide near indestructible Armor. Near Indestructible.....
  • Survived over 1000 slashes from Akame, who targeted a specific spot in Grand Chariot's Weak point that could have killed Wave if given one more slice. This is significant because Base Akame is capable of destroying Steel and Tough Materials with a Stroke.
  • Can Scale to Tatsumi's Durability, who endured Shikoutazer's Beam Blasts which again, can decimate Armies and Destroy a Country.
  • Base Wave did survived a blow from Susanoo, that sent him flying across a Canyon.

Weaponry

Grand Chariot's Spear

Wave is armed with Numerous weapons but he usually has only Main Weapons at his disposal, most of the time at least.

Grand Chariot's Sword

This is Wave's Signature Weapon. Virtually identical to Tatsumi's Incursio, the Sword is ideal for Hacking and Slashing. However, it is actually a "Keyblade" that trigger's Grand Chariot's Armor to give Wave a substantial boost in Power. This sword is powerful enough to break Steel and other Teigu Weapons.

Grand Chariot's Spear

Another Weapon that is part of Wave's Arsenal is the Spear. It can be Thrown for added Range and also is ideal for Melee Combat. It's also Identical to Incursio's Neuntote, another Spear/Polearm.

Skills

Wave is actually very skilled in combat. He is so good that General Esdeath considered him to be "Strong". Aside from being a great fighter, Wave is no slouch when it comes to unarmed combat. Infact, most of Wave's Abilities, which I will get to very soon, involve his Fisticuffs and his Legs.

It is worth noting that Wave actually fought on par in terms of Skill with the likes of Akame, Shura, Tatsumi and The Wild Hunt. A Strong Claim to his resume I have to say :D!!!!

Finally, Wave's bravery and careful conservation of his judgement makes him quite adaptable to most situations thrown at him. He can be Aggressive but knows he has limits, he can be defensive but can counter punch if given the chance.

Grand Fall

Grand Fall is the Signature Ability for Grand Chariot. This is a Kick that is powerful enough to....... Decimate Defenses and do a "One Kick Knock Out" Moment........... Saitama's Long Lost Rival???? Hahahahhahahah

This Kick allows Wave to go beyond his limit and focus all power into a concentrated blow.

There is also an Amped Up Version called "Boosted Grand Fall" which is a super charged version that is both faster and more powerful. Bing Badda Boom :D!!!!

Feats Accomplished by Wave

Being a Major Player in Akame Ga Kill, Wave has.... an interesting line up of Feats to his name. Here are his Accomplishments.

  • Is officially, and cleanly, the only person, well, aside from Esdeath, who actually Hit Akame in a Clean Fight. Though Wave did not actually "Win" against Akame, he still tagged her, which is legendary in itself.
  • Did beat Syura cleanly. No Weapons, No Armor, Just a Fist Fight. This is also impressive considering Syura is actually more skilled in Unarmed Combat compared to Wave and yet Wave still beat him.
  • Is the only guy in Akame Ga Kill to wield not One but Two Teigu's All at Once. Infact, Mastema, which was Originally Run's Teigu, is now fused with Grand Chariot, enabling Wave to now Fly around :D!!!!!
  • Broke the Fight between Akame and Kurome. This resulted in both Akame and Kurome finally stopping the fight. (Manga)
  • Helped Tatsumi defeat the Shikoutazer. While Tatsumi finished the job, Wave greatly assisted in it's demise.
  • Voiced by David Matranga (English) and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Japanese). David Matranga also voiced Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia and Johnny Rico in Starship Troopers Invasion.
  • Is a more likable character than Tatsumi.
  • Grand Chariot is a badass suit of Armor :D!!!!

Cooler than Iron Man I must say

  • Is arguably one of, if not, the nicest guy in the Jaegers.
  • Is one of the few characters of Akame Ga Kill that survived the War both in the Manga and the Anime.

Weaknesses

Despite Wave's cool presentation, it actually is surprising to note that he doesn't actually have a huge amount of feats that make him stand out compared to most characters. The only way to make Wave look more impressive is to scale him to other characters. Without Scaling, Wave is pretty much almost featless to a T.

Stats Wise, this is actually tricky because Wave does become inconsistent with what he can do. Sometimes, he is unstoppable, even more powerful than Tatsumi in most circumstances. However, his Speed is actually a weak point of his capabilities.

You see, Wave "Barely" kept up against Akame, who was so fast that Wave Stated she was going at Mach 1 Speeds. This sounds good for Wave, but Akame was able to land more hits on Wave than Wave landing a hit on Akame. Infact, Akame could have killed Wave outright if not for a distraction, which gave Wave a chance to comeback,

Speaking of the same fight against Akame, Wave actually would be at a severe disadvantage against someone who has both Speed and Power Output to both avoid his attacks and outright target Grand Chariot's Weak points. This would be devastating to Wave since he doesn't really have a counter to Long Range attacks or even Nanosecond Speed Strikes up Close.

Finally, whenever Wave tries to help out, he ends up becoming either late or irrelevant to the situation, just like after Seryu Ubiquitous was upset that two of her most important people in life perish, only for Esdeath to beat Wave to her by giving Seryu a Warm hug, with Wave looking like George Hancock of Disappointment XD!!!!

Still, despite his faults, Wave is actually a badass character. The Grand Chariot shall Ride on!!!!!

Summary

Hattori Shizuka

Advantages

  • With or Without Scaling, Shizuka is actually almost 100 times faster than Wave regardless
  • Her Tactics of "Hit and Avoid" Attacks is actually monumental against Wave's more Aggressive Approach
  • Because of her experience against the Neuroi, Shizuka does have a huge edge in that she can target Grand Chariot's Weak Joints and finally finish off Wave.
  • Her Magical Shield, Ironically, is more Durable than Grand Chariot's Armor.
  • Is the more conservative and tactical of the two fighters.

Disadvantages

  • Is not as physically Strong. Scaling wise, Wave crushes Shizuka with even more Strength
  • Not as Skilled
  • Isn't really as likable as Wave.
  • Is not as Durable as Wave in terms of Physical Defenses.

Advantages

  • With and Without Scaling, Wave is still much stronger than Shizuka by a landslide
  • More Skilled
  • Is a better character
  • Physically more Durable than Shizuka (No Magic Factored in)

Disadvantages

  • Is Significantly Slower than Shizuka, even if you do Scaling for Wave, he is trailing behind by quite a huge margin
  • Has a very straight forward tactical approach to combat, which Shizuka would take advantage of immediately and simply gun down Wave from a distance and eventually, expose his weak spots in Grand Chariot's Armor
  • Less Experience against someone like Shizuka.
  • Not as Tactical as Shizuka

The Verdict

In a very interesting yet, somewhat strangely one sided match up, Shizuka vs Wave is actually one match up that got me over a seesaw of guessing for a long time. However, as it actually turns out, one character eventually has all the necessary advantages to clinch a victory.

First, Stats. This is solely reliant on two major factors.

1. Stand Alone Feats

2. Scaling

So First we have to go into Stand Alone Feats. In which case, both are surprisingly even in terms of being almost featless. Neither Shizuka nor Wave are noteworthy for having impressive Feats on their own merits. You can still give Wave the Strength Advantage since he still punched Akame Across Multiple Trees and even Assisted Tatsumi with overpowering the Shikoutazer. The Flip side, Shizuka is Faster on her own Merits since she is using a Striker Unit, providing Superior Flight and Mobility and is able to dodge Light Speed attacks.

So, this is kind of a toss up but in terms of Durability, Shizuka wins. How? Her Magic Shield can withstand Super Heated Neuroi Beams that melt down anything in to a Sub Atomic Level so that alone is superior to Grand Chariot's Durability, who actually was almost destroyed by Akame's 1000 strikes. This also will be a key reason as to why one of these characters eventually wins but we shall get there soon. But as it stands now. Shizuka Wins in terms of Stand Alone Feats.

But, we now go into Scaling, which in this case......

Both Shizuka and Wave finally have a major power boost for themselves to get more badass. The thing is though, nothing actually changes the side. It does close the gap, but Shizuka still has the Advantage in terms of Speed since now we are scaling her to the likes of Yoshika, Perrine, Lynette, Sakamoto and Minna, all of whom dodged multiple Neuroi Beams that can be shot from all directions at once and are untouched. The Beams themselves are Faster than Light anyway so that already cements Shizuka's Speed Gap.

Wave's Scaling to Tatsumi does eventually help him since his Strength is now comparable to a feat where Tatsumi smashed the Shikoutazer Backwards. Mountain level feat right? Unfortunately, Wave still lags behind Shizuka because of one, crucial advantage in the scaling chain....... Durability.

Shizuka, with Scaling, also has Superior Durability once more. Lynette's Feat of Defending multiple Battleships from Neuroi Beams that can Decimate Countries is on par with Wave's Scaling to Tatsumi's Durability of tanking the Shikoutazer's Country Level Laser Blast. Only, The thing is, The Magical Shields are much harder to Break since again, Super Heated Concentrated Beams are much more likely to cause Penetration than a wider blast.

So Speed and Durability Eventually Goes to Shizuka, winning her the Stats Edge.

What about Tactics and Weaknesses?

Well, this is again, Shizuka's Edge. Her Tatctics are about Hit and Avoid attacks from Afar, leaving Wave completely helpless. He is Durable enough to survive "Some" of Shizuka's Gunfire, but here is the thing, this is the same gun that can shred through ALIEN ARMOR!!!!!!!.

That's Right, Alien Tech is generally more durable than Earthly Elements and since the Imperial Arms/Teigus are forged from Earthly Elements, they are not exactly as flashy in terms of Durability compared to Outworldly materials...... Shizuka has this fight.

Granted that Wave cannot exactly tag Shizuka due to her Mobility and Flight, he is suffering the same result as what happened to him against Akame, only, Shizuka is gonna finish the Job much more quickly thanks to her Pinpoint accuracy against Weak Spots. Since Shizuka is use to destroying Neuroi Cores, she would ultimately shoot Wave's Weak Spots and severely damage and eventually kill him.

Looks like Wave's chances of Winning with a "Perfect Strike finally Ga him Killed......."hahahahah
