Season 4: Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia) vs Glacius (Killer Instinct)

Greetings and welcome to another edition of my "Who Would Win" series and it is going to be Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia vs Glacius from Killer Instinct


For this match up, I will mainly focus on the basic stats, abilities, skills, Ultimate moves, feats and weaknesses


Todoroki's Information is primarily from my knowledge of the anime. Unfortunately, I never read the manga but at least I still got a good indication of what Todoroki is capable of thanks to some solid info I dug up.




As for Glacius, I decided to use all of his appearances as his main source of info. Meaning, I will use the Killer Instinct Games exclusively. Turns out however, there is one specific feat from the comic books that I will briefly cover that showcases his power level.




Finally, I will decide who I personally believe would win this "Cool" fight (Sorry for the pun) 





So, without further ado, let's begin






Shoto Todoroki

Before Shoto Todoroki was born, his father Enji Todoroki "Endeavor", is second best Hero of the world behind the one and only "All Might". Jealous of this fact, Enji wanted to do a "Forced Marriage" in order to conceive a child that would one day surpass All Might.... That child is Shoto Todoroki.



Amazingly, Shoto was born with two incredible powers, both of which are inherited from both his mother Rei and of course, his father "Endeavor".


Despite his incredible gifts, Shoto actually had a very abusive lifestyle with his family. While Shoto loved his mother Rei, Endeavor only wanted to make Shoto to become the absolute best.


While this sounds pretty nice for a Dad, unfortunately, this is also a double edged sword. You see, Shoto was denied any social interaction with his former siblings, who were considered to be "Beneath him" by his Dad, and his mother was constantly abused by Endeavor. 


However, despite the abuse, Rei Todoroki still supported Shoto and encouraged him to become a Hero. However, sadly, the years of abuse from Endeavor took a toll on her, as she started to shy away from looking at Shoto's left side because it reminded her of Endeavor. One day, after talking to her own mother on the phone, Rei saw her son once more at the door and poured boiling water on the left side of his face, leaving a permanent burn mark.

After the incident, Rei was sent to the Hospital by Endeavor, however, despite all of that, Shoto still loved her. In fact, Shoto blamed Endeavor for the constant abuse he inflicted upon her over the years (Best Son ever :D!!!). Overtime, Shoto would forget about his mother's support.



Eventually, Shoto's upbringing and desire is to try and refuse any form of support that Endeavor gave him. Eventually, Shoto rejected Endeavor's advice and contact.


Shoto participated in the U.A. Recommendation Entrance Exam, a process that allows students who are considered to be "talented and skilled" to participate. Shoto eventually came in second place after a race, losing to Inasa Yoarashi. After the exam, Inasa tried to befriend Shoto, who did nothing but reject his pleasantries.





Eventually, Shoto entered U.A High School, where he became one of the schools most powerful students. Since entering U.A. High, Shoto has participated in numerous events that involved the School Sport's Festival, the Attack of the League of Villains, Bakugo's Kidnapping and attempting to get his provisional license and more!!!!!!  My Hero Academia is an ongoing series folks, Shoto will get a larger resume, trust me :D!!!





That is a background of Shoto Todoroki, now, let's see what this cool kid is capable of





Quirk

Half-Cold Half-Hot

Shoto Todoroki has, in my opinion, one of the most powerful and versatile Quirks in My Hero Academia. He uses both Ice and Fire for his power, and what is amazing here is that although Todoroki refused to use Fire attacks due to his denial of becoming like his father, Todoroki eventually used Fire as much as he uses his Ice. 



Speaking of his Father, Todoroki's Quirk is a combination of his Mother's Ice and his Father's Fire.



We now know about Todoroki's Quirk, now, we shall see what he can do








Quirk Abilities

Fire and Ice, The perfect Combination

 















With an incredible Quirk, Todoroki does indeed have special abilities at his disposal. Here is a list of Todoroki's Abilities



 Temperature Control: Obviously, with a Quirk that allows you to control Ice, Todoroki can, well, Freeze anything he touches. This ability has no limits, and since Todoroki became more skilled over the course of the series, he is able to use this Quirk for multiple purposes, it is especially useful for holding his enemies on the spot, which can help Todoroki achieve his goals substantially

Defensive Ice Techniques: Todoroki can manipulate his Ice to create large walls of Ice for Defense. This Ice is durable enough to take multiple Explosions before breaking apart 


Offensive Ice Techniques: Of course, while Todoroki is very good with Defense using his Ice, he is also just as effective with Offensive Techniques. Funny enough, the Ice Attacks that Todoroki unleashes are also able to block enemy projectiles and freeze them dead on their tracks. So, in the end, Todoroki's Ice is simply a swiss army knife for both Offense and Defense :D!!!!!!

On a Serious note, Todoroki can use Ice Spikes and Ice Walls to both block and attack his enemies. It is clean, cool and above all, badass.





Special Ice Abilities

The Idea is to give you a "Cold" Feet XD!!!

So we know how skilled and powerful Todoroki's Ice Abilities are. Now, let's see his special Ice Abilities



Ice Spikes: Using his feet, Todoroki can create a huge row of Ice Spikes infront of him for long range combat. It is worth noting that Todoroki can alter the course of the Row of Spikes with his mind. Pretty awesome stuff



Ice Surfing: If Todoroki ever participated in a Surfing Competition, I think this ability will have to be banned. Humor aside, Ice Surfing is one of Todoroki's best means of traveling while in combat. It also allows Todoroki to have a significant mobility boost, which can prove to be quite difficult to tag him once he starts surfing

Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall: Virtually Identical to the Ice Spikes, the Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall is basically a jacked up version. Todoroki unleashes a City block sized Ice Wall.  Obviously, this ability is insanely powerful.

WOW!!!! That is so Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire Techniques

  










Now we have seen Todoroki's Ice capabilities, let's look at his Fire techniques.



Fire Blasts: Obviously, Todoroki can use his Fire to project huge fireblasts that are powerful enough to decimate his foes.



Fire Fists: Believe it or not, Todoroki can use Fire to increase his striking power with his fists. It is simply, badass and overall. Powerful

Wall of Flames.

Wall of Flames:  Todoroki unleashes a tsunami sized Wall of Flames that literally burns his enemies to a crisp. This attack is virtually Identical to the Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall.


Oh, and it is also superb for both Offense and Defense. Seriously, Todoroki is the perfect example of a guy who can use his power for any purpose :)











Flashfreeze Heatwave
 

The most badass Elemental Attack ever!!!

  











Without a doubt, Todoroki's most powerful ability is Flashfreeze Heatwave. 


Using his Ice, Todoroki freezes the air around him. Then, switching to his Fire, he heats it up and expands the air substantially.


Todoroki then unleashes, what I can say, the most badass blast in My Hero Academia..... Literally speaking, this Attack is a Finishing blow in every sense of the word. Oh, and it achieved this!!!!

The Undisputed King of Power!!!!!

Yeah...... Once Todoroki triggers this ability, you may as well be given a free ticket to the afterlife XD!!!!





Equipment

While Todoroki is already a monster, he is also pretty well equipped for any situation. Here is a list of equipment used by Todoroki


Temperature Resistant Jacket: Shoto's blue jacket is made from a special fire-resistant fiber. There is a special device near the neck that senses Shoto's body temperature and supports the vest to help regulate it.

Combat Vest: The device on Shoto's back is capable of sensing Shoto's body temperature and automatically heats up or cools down accordingly. Shoto requested his original costume had a device that heated up.

Utility Belt: There are metal capsules on Shoto's belt that contain water, pain medication, and disinfectants, making up a first aid kit.

Snow Boots: Shoto is outfitted with a pair of white snow boots with spikes under the soles that prevent Shoto from slipping on his own ice. They are later upgraded with straps going across the front of the boots.

Wrist Guards: As an upgrade to his costume, Shoto received new wrist guards made from the same material as his vest. They appear to help Shoto control the temperature of his ice and flames by keeping the extreme temperatures from traveling up his arms to his upper body.


 




Skills

Todoroki is by far, the most powerful student in his Class. Especially with regards to his Quirk. 


However, despite that, Todoroki is also extremely intelligent. While not quite as well versed in book smarts compared to Momo Yaoyorozu and, strangely enough Minoru Mineta, Todoroki is still one of the top students in terms of intelligence.     

Also, it should be noted, Todoroki is pretty good with strategizing on the fly. This makes Todoroki quite an analytical combatant that can do incredible things with just his mind.





Feats for Shoto Todoroki

 











With a monster load of power, of course Todoroki has a list of accomplishments to his name. Here is a list of achievements done by Shoto Todoroki

• Has officially, and cleanly, and, delivering a huge upset that could possibly defy the tradition of storytelling....... Defeated Izuku Midoriya cleanly.......... Let me repeat that, Shoto Todoroki defeated My Hero Academia's Main Protagonist.......... That alone is just a monumental feat

• Defeated Tenya Iida and Hanta Sero to progess through the Sports Festival Tournament. 

• Helped Midoriya, Bakugo and Kirishima save All Might from Nomu and Tomura Shigaraki

• Helped Midoriya and Tenya Iida defeat Stain.

• Helped Momo Yaoyorozu defeat Shota Aizawa for the Final Exams

• Helped Bakugo, Midoriya and Mezo Shoji defeat Dark Shadow, who was out of Fumikage Tokoyami's control for a moment. 

• Assisted in helping Midoriya, Momo, Kirishima and Iida rescue Bakugo from the League of Villains

• Is Literally, one of my favorite elemental manipulators in all of fiction

• Voiced by David Matranga, who also voiced Wave from Akame Ga Kill :D!!!!!!

Weaknesses

While Todoroki is already one of My Hero Academia's powerful heroes, by no means he is invincible.


Earlier in the series, Todoroki hesitated to use his Fire manipulation because he vowed to never use his abilities and become like his father. This flaw ultimately became non existent because Todoroki now uses his Fire just as much as he uses his Ice anyway.


Also, while Todoroki did lose to Bakugo in the Finals of the Sports Festival, it is because he refused to unleash his full potential. So really, Todoroki has pretty bad personal problems. Then again, that factor does not matter when a combatant is bloodlusted after all XD!!!!!


Also, you want to know why I did not cover Todoroki's stats? Because, HE IS ALMOST FEATLESS!!!!!


While Todoroki is a Hero, he is actually very vulnerable to close quarters attacks should the opponent get into close range. However, funny enough, Todoroki may be a capable fighter, but he lacks the stats that make him just as durable and just as strong as a peak human at best. 





However, Despite his flaws, Todoroki is one of the best written characters in My Hero Academia. Todoroki is cool, relatable and all round, a powerful badass

 







Glacius

 
















Glacius is a Space Marshall of his species. Glacius' Species are known for their telekinesis and telepathy. And are also able to manipulate the molecular structure of their own body to adapt to the environment. In the case of Glacius, he crash landed on Earth in an icy region, and thus, he is able to create Ice Armor to protect his Shell from harm. Which is why Glacius is, well, seen with Ice :D!!!!

It is also worth noting that Glacius can also manipulate his own body structure, by transforming from a liquid to a solid substance with the flick of a switch :D!!!! Hence, Glacius is also a Shapeshifter


For the most part, Glacius has been portrayed as a rather "Good" Alignment character, and he has defeated multiple Ultratech agents and even helped defeated Gargos, who threatened to destroy the world........




That is a simple background of Glacius. Now, let's see what this Ice Popsicle of a badass is capable of :D!!!




Strength
Glacius, by all intents and purposes, is a pretty strong combatant. Here is a list of Strength feats for Glacius

• Can uppercut anyone into the air at around 40 feet into the air........... This is also considering the fact that, in a previous match up "Hisako vs Squigly", Hisako managed to uppercut Aganos into the air, who is a huge Golem that could weigh over 40-60 tons.... 

• Can puncture through Fulgore, who is a cybernetic soldier

• Is strong enough to break  through armor

Speed

A beatdown at it's finest :D

  



















In terms of Speed, Glacius is a badass. While Glacius' walking speed is left to be desired, his reflexes on the other hand make up for the drawback. Here is a list of Speed feats for the Popsicle

• Has managed to surprise and ambush ARIA, who can react at under nanosecond Speeds

• Generally, when getting serious, Glacius can fight at Faster than the Eye can track speeds

• Can scale to Riptor, who is fast enough to deliver 12 hits in three seconds

• With shape shifting, Glacius can also travel across the battlefield quickly, and even uppercut his opponents multiple times in rapid succession.

Durability

Glacius Crash lands on Earth.

  



















Glacius is a pretty durable combatant. Here is a list of Durability feats for Glacius

• Can take multiple Fire Attacks from Cinder

• Took strikes from TJ Combo, who is able destroy Fulgore with his punches. Fulgore is a Cybernetic Prototype 

• Using other game modes such as Survival and Versus, Glacius can endure attacks from Aganos, who is literally made out of Stones and Bronze

  

• Crash landed on Earth with his Space Ship.

  

•  Took Lightning attacks from Chief Thunder.

Abilities

Oooh, that's "Cold" XD!!!

Like all great Ice Users, Glacius has a fair share of impressive abilities. Here is a list of notable abilities used by Glacius

• Ice Grip: Glacius extends his arm to grab onto an opponent.
• Ice Lance: Glacius extends his arm to attack.
• Ice Pick: An anti-air icepick attack.
• Liquidize: Glacius melts into a puddle to avoid being hurt.
• Puddle Punch: After turning into a puddle, Glacius re-emerges with an uppercut. Under Crystalize’s effects, he can home in on enemies or attack them from behind with this move. The Shadow version has Glacius uppercut five times.

• Cold Shoulder: A shoulder tackle. The Shadow version hits five times.
  
  
• Hail: Glacius creates a small ice projectile which hovers before flying forward. Multiple Hail projectiles can be fired and they can aimed in different directions. The Shadow version has Glacius create 5 projectiles which fire in a spread pattern.

• Shatter: An unblockable attack where Glacius summons an icicle from the ground. The Shadow has Glacius summon 5 icicles, but these can be blocked.

Crystallize/Instinct Mode

Glacius coats himself in a thick layer of ice armor that absorbs one hit. If it gets hit, a new one will form after about three seconds. He also gains a defense buff and Liquidize can move much faster and further while Crystallize is active. Can use Homing Puddle Punch which moves directly in front of the opponent to attack, and Cross-Up Puddle Punch, which moves directly behind the opponent to attack.





Combo Breaker

 
















Combo Breakers are a defensive technique. Whenever the combatant is attacked by a series of combos, they have a chance to break the combo before it reaches a "Combo Finisher". To do this, they must guess the Attack type that the attacker used. For instance, if the attacker uses low kicks, and the defender guessed it correctly, then the combo is broken, and the defender has a chance to retaliate. If they guess poorly, the combo continues.


However, worst case scenario, even if the Combo Breaker is attempted, there is a chance that a "Counter Breaker" occurs. This means, despite guessing the correct pattern, the attacker can still block the counter by simply pressing the same attack type.



However, Combo Breakers are still an extremely useful technique for all combatants.  




Ultra Combo

Glacius vs Glacius..... Glacius won XD!!!

The most badass move out of all characters in Killer Instinct, Ultra Combo's are their version of a "Fatality". However, what sets them apart from most fighting games is that Ultra Combo's unleash a devastating combo that can last from 30-35 hits on average. Funny enough, you can use Shadow Strikes while the Ultra Combo is triggered, and you can start all over again, possibly going as far as to do over 100-200 hits :D!!!!!! Here is my record

Ultimate

FATALITY!!!!!! Ooops, wrong game.

  















Glacius has the honor of being one of the few combatants to have a "Ultimate". At least, in the 2013 reboot of Killer Instinct. Ultimate's are literally Finishers. With regards to Glacius, his Ultimate is basically three strikes with his Ice Gloves, and then summons a Ice Pillar to Launch his opponent into the air, and finally, they fall ontop of a cluster of Ice Spikes....... Brutal indeed




Other Finishers 

While Glacius has an Ultimate, there is another surprising trick he has. You see, Glacius also has "Multiple Finishers" Funny enough, most of these Finishers are only used when the opponent is literally at Death's Door. Meaning, the opponent is stunned, or out of health........ Why they are not used while in combat is a colossal mystery to me, but, Killer Instinct is just great anyway XD!!!!



Here is a list of Finishers for Glacius

 

Ice Puddle: Glacius turns into a puddle of water, which his opponent sinks into, never to be seen again.

Icicle Stab: Glacius forms one of his hands into an icicle, which he uses to freeze the opponent solid.

Water Bubble: Glacius turns into a bubble that engulfs and devours the opponent whole.

Ice Javelin: Glacius forms an ice projectile, which he tosses at his opponent.

Frozen Block: Glacius grabs the enemy, freezes them in place and shatters them.










Feats for Glacius

Glacius is one of Killer Instinct's most popular and iconic characters. so, realistically, he has achieved quite alot of feats that make him quite a badass. Here is a list of accomplishments.

• Has defeated Riptor, TJ Combo, Sadira, Spinal and Chief Thunder

• Defeated Cinder, who is literally made out of Fire

• Has defeated ARIA and Fulgore

• Defeated Saberwulf and destroyed his own Spaceship (Choice Scenario, though this is the best ending so I chose this one specifically XD!!!!!)

• Is a pretty "Cool" character.... No pun intended

 Weaknesses

While Glacius is pretty powerful, unfortunately, he has a couple of weaknesses


Firstly, with regards to his Ice. While Glacius is very durable, his Ice is not particularly indestructible.


Infact, Glacius' Ice is pretty easy to break through by sufficient force. In fact, some of Killer Instinct's heavy hitters like TJ Combo managed to break Glacius' Ice before, and TJ is just above Peak Human level.


Also, logically, Glacius' Ice is capable of melting down by Fire. Cinder for Instance had his own Story where he did beat Glacius, and, well, Cinder uses Fire.


To put it simply, Fire melts Ice...... There you go XD!!!!



While Glacius is certainly a skilled combatant..... his running speed is one of the slowest in the Killer Instinct game. While Glacius can levitate, he has never shown any notable speed feats with his levitation.




Of course, Glacius' inner shell is also a weakness, should his entire Ice Armor be destroyed, Glacius will be vulnerable to all matters of attacks. Which will kill him effectively.


And, scary enough, should Glacius indeed lose his armor, in order to regain it, he must absorb Ice once more. This sounds like an ok trade off, but the fact that it takes time to complete the process, means that Glacius cannot rebuild his Armor instantly. So, Glacius generally tries to avoid damage as much as possible



Despite his flaws, Glacius is a powerful Ice User. Glacius is fun, badass and obviously "Cool".






Summary

Shoto Todoroki

 

Advantages

• Can use both Ice and Fire compared to Glacius, who is exclusively an Ice User

• In terms of the scope of his power, Todoroki is vastly more powerful than Glacius

• Is more intelligent

• Funny enough, Todoroki has fought combatants with superior hand to hand combat skills and won.

• Todoroki's Flashfreeze Heatwave will definitely kill Glacius.

Disadvantages

• Is laughably outclassed in terms of physical stats

• While a skilled hand to hand combatant, Glacius is all round better in terms of close quarters combat

• Less Offensive attacks than Glacius

Glacius

Advantages

• Better Stats

• More Skilled in Hand to Hand Combat compared to Todoroki 

• More Offensive capabilities

Disadvantages

• While Glacius is a powerful Ice User, Todoroki beats him with versatility thanks to his  Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk 

• Is far less powerful than Todoroki

• Not as Intelligent as Todoroki

• Should Todoroki unleash Flashfreeze Heatwave, Glacius will turn into a puddle of water and die.

The Verdict

Shoto Todoroki vs Glacius is surprisingly, an interesting match up. Unfortunately, while initially I thought it was "Very close", I have to admit, this match up is, well, not particularly a stomp, but it is kinda one sided.



While Glacius cleans the Stats against Todoroki, that is basically all he has against him. Todoroki on the other hand is FAR!!!!! more powerful than Glacius due to the Scope of his power. I mean, Todoroki's power generally does this......

  

Now some of you may be thinking "But wait, isn't Glacius suppose to be immune to ice since, well, he is made out of Ice?" Well, believe it or not, Glacius will infact survive almost all of Todoroki's Ice abilities. But...... Todoroki is not all about Ice.... He is also a Fire User. 




You see, while Todoroki's Ice may not be his best asset in this fight, at least his back up plan, his Fire, will be more than capable of killing Glacius.


And, since Todoroki can simply burn through Glacius' Ice Shell, it is only a matter of time before Glacius will melt down and be "Evaporated".


Realistically speaking, even if Glacius went up close and personal to Todoroki, it would be the worst decision he would make because Todoroki's Fire is not just ordinary fire, it can burn all Ice and Elements around him to increase it's power output.



Of course, Todoroki's Ultimate attack, Flashfreeze Heatwave, literally heats up his own ice and expands the air around him. But, this is where the fight get's pretty interesting. Since Glacius is made out of Ice, it is entirely possible that Todoroki will actually heat up Glacius' Ice and triggering Flashfreeze Heatwave without using his own Ice at all...... Quite deadly for Glacius.




So really, Glacius, while a better hand to hand fighter, has to first get up close and pray that Todoroki will not unleash his Fire attacks on him...... And that is not possible.


To be clear, Todoroki's maximum potential has yet to be seen, however, even using his current level of power, he is still more than capable of defeating Glacius.



So, thanks to his Fire Quirk, Flashfreeze Heatwave and David Matranga, I believe that Shoto Todoroki will win this fight.

Season 4: All Might (My Hero Academia) vs Captain America (Marvel)

Greetings and Welcome to another edition of my "Who Would Win" Series and it is going to be All Might from My Hero Academia vs Captain America from Marvel





This particular match up is going to be a bit different because both All Might and Cap are able to perform feats that are far greater than what they are shown. For instance, the statement claimed that All Might would be significantly stronger in his prime, already establishes the Peak of his Power (I Will touch on that subject very soon) 




With Regards to Captain America's Power, funny enough, due to scaling from other characters and the capabilities of his Shield being made of materials that were also used in the Marvel Universe, I will go into a closer look at the true capabilities of what The Shield can withstand.... and also what Cap is capable of as well XD!!!!

Finally, I will go into the base stats, abilities, feats, weaknesses and finally, who I personally believe will win this match up






So without further ado, let's begin




Toshinori Yagi "All Might"

 In a world filled with Heroes, Villains, and the Quirkless (People without super powers) There was one man who wanted to become the "Symbol of Peace". Unfortunately, Toshinori was one of the Quirkless, and he had no way to somehow make the World a better place..... That is until a miracle occurred



You see, one day, Toshinori met Nana Shimura, a very close friend of his who also happens to be a Superhero. But not just "A" superhero, Nana Shimura inherited "One for All", which is quite frankly, the most powerful Quirk in My Hero Academia, Rivaled only by All for One, which is actually a Quirk given to a villain named....... All for One..... (A Power sharing the same name as the user, how original XD!!!!)



After letting Nana know of his motivations to become the Symbol of Peace and give everyone a smile on their face, Toshinori impressed Nana, and was gifted with "One for All".


Eventually, Nana and her close friend Grand Tornio, who also has a Quirk, trained Toshinori to become the best superhero he could possibly be..... Unfortunately, a tragic turn of events occurred.



One day, the evil villain All for One fought Nana Shimura, which ultimately ended with the Death of Nana............ this in turn made Toshinori strive to become a stronger hero and finally defeat All for One.



With continuous training from Gran Torino, going on adventures with his close friend David Shield, and eventually having a sidekick named "Night Eye", Toshinori eventually became the iconic superhero known as "All Might".



All Might became the Number 1 Hero of the world, and his reputation brought a huge positive impact. You see, it was because of All Might's Heroic acts and the presence of other Heroes that the Crime Rate was reduced significantly.

However, as it turns out, during a previous encounter with All for One (Not this guy again XD!!), All Might had a portion of his stomach and his lungs ripped from his body, which greatly reduced his power. However, despite all that, All Might still persisted.


Unfortunately, this also saddened Night Eye, who predicted (With his Quirk) That All Might will eventually die in the future due to a brutal and gruesome battle with a villain that will ultimately "Be the end of the Symbol of Peace". Understandably, All Might ignored the warning, which ultimately ended the partnership of both All Might and Night Eye.


Overtime, All Might still managed to become the ultimate Superhero, as he proved time and time again that he can save others from danger with a Smile on his face.


One particular boy named Izuku Midoriya idolizes All Might so much, he strives to become a Hero......... But, sadly, Midoriya was Quirkless. However, Long Story Short, after being rescued by All Might from a Sludge Villain, Midoriya tries to question All Might, by holding onto him while in mid air.........

Question Time, but first, let me hold onto you while we are over 200 feet into the air!!

Turns out, Midoriya eventually found out about All Might's True Secret, who revealed his True Form after the "Timer" for his Quirk ran out. After a harsh talk from All Might, Midoriya's dream to become a Hero seemed to end there.... That was, until the same Sludge Villain somehow kidnapped Midoriya's friend Katsuki Bakugo (Kacchan).


In a desperate act, Midoriya attempted to rescue Bakugo, and was instead kidnapped by the monster anyway.


However, because Midoriya was heroic, All Might took matters into his own hands and finally defeated the Monster once and for all, rescuing Midoriya and Bakugo in the process.





Afterwards, All Might decided to inherit his power to Midoriya and become his mentor. And thus, after extensive training, passing the Entrance Exam and eventually enrolled to U.A. High School, Midoriya's dreams of becoming a hero are becoming a reality.



Of course, All Might eventually became a teacher at U.A as well, and he even prevented multiple threats that would have otherwise harmed the students. However, one particular event involved Bakugo's kidnapping by All for One's cronies, one of them being  Tomura Shigaraki (Nana Shimura's Grandson), the leader of the dreaded Villainous group known as....... "The League of Villains".



While attempting to rescue Bakugo, All Might eventually clashed with All for One in one of the most badass battles in Anime........ All Might eventually prevailed, but unfortunately, this also marked the end of All Might's time as the Symbol of Peace, as the last embers of his quirk have diminished. However, despite the horrific ordeal, All Might still lived and became more of a Mentor than a straight up superhero.

In the end (As of this blog at least, My Hero Academia is a continuous story!!!) All Might is taking the life of a mentor for Midoriya and his classmates from Class 1-A. Eventually, the Number 1 Hero became Endeavor, who I shall talk about in another time XD!!!!!!!!!!





That is a straightforward, long and detailed background of All Might and My Hero Academia's main plot line. Now, let's see what my favorite Male Superhero is capable of!!!




Quirk "One For All" 

You got the touch!!! You got the Power!!!!!

Before we look at All Might's stats, we must look at his Quirk.

All Might's Quirk is of course "One for All", and what is interesting here is that it is a Quirk that can be handed down to another user, even those without a Quirk such as Midoriya.


Capabilities wise, One for All allows the user to have Super Strength, Speed, Durability and of course, Incredible Abilities.


What is interesting however, is that All Might's use of his Quirk is very similar to DC's Shazam's Power, in that he can trigger it at will. However, after his gruesome injury at the hands of One for All, All Might's power eventually got limited to three hours a day. In fact, extended use of the Quirk will weaken All Might overtime, and as of now, he is only able to use One for All for a minimum of 1 hour or less.




Still, I will be using All Might at his Prime for this match up, but, for the sake of fun, I will include feats from his weakened state.... with a few surprises :D!!!!









Strength

All Might is, by all intents and purposes, the strongest Hero in My Hero Academia. At least in terms of physical Strength. Here is a list of Strength feats for All Might

• Is able to break through concrete walls with no effort

• Has punched, damaged and finally defeated Nomu, who is a monster that has a Quirk that absorbs shock and physical force. What is important however, is that All Might achieved this feat with "300" punches and he has stated that in his prime, he would have beaten Nomu with just 5 punches. That is 60 times the power than what he has shown in the anime and manga.

• Can punch so hard that even the surrounding area causes strong winds in thin air.
   

• Punched a monster through a city block  

• Lifted a Sky Bridge that pinned down multiple civilians

•  Is able to punch with such force using "Detroit Smash", the atmosphere changes, and creates rain. Again, with the 60x power multiplier, if All Might tried this feat at his peak, he would have created hurricane level storms or, with a more conservative estimate, a huge tornado at the very least

• Has traded blows with All for One, who literally has the exact same level of Strength as "Peak All Might". However, All Might eventually fought All for One in his Weakened State and prevailed........... This feat alone is why All Might is literally, the coolest superhero ever :D!!!!

• Used United States of Smash on All For One, which finally defeated the evil villain at the cost of losing the last embers of his power. However, this feat is incredible, as All Might actually destroyed an entire city block..... Even when he was at his True Form!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, his right arm was the size of a tree log but come on, All Might deserves praise for it!!!

• While helping Midoriya, All Might destroyed Wolfram, who uses a Quirk that allows him to manipulate Metal and use it for both offense and defense. In the case of the feat, both Midoriya and All Might used "Double Detroit Smash" which is a combined attack that not only destroyed Wolfram, but the size of the impact literally destroyed all the Metal and Materials manipulated by Wolfram as a result.

Speed

All Might, while extremely strong already, is equally impressive in terms of Speed. Here is a handful of Speed feats for the Smiling Badass

• Used a hand chop to swat away missiles

• Took down seven guys in a time span of only 3 seconds. However, what is more impressive here is that All Might achieved this feat while he was at the Entrance of the U.S.J Facility, and he just straight up took them down faster than the speed of sound.

• Crossed 5 kilometers in 30 seconds while taking down Nomus

• Has reacted to attacks from Wolfram, All for One and Kurogiri. All of whom are equal to All Might in terms of Speed.

Durability

In terms of Durability, All Might is a legit badass. Here is a handful of Durability feats

• Took a blast from Bakugo's Large Explosion, which ended up destroying a huge portion of the Street and devastated multiple buildings 

• Has taken blows from Nomu, who literally is equal to All Might's Strength. 

• Endured Wolfram's grip that targeted All Might's Weak Point (More on that later) Wolfram has another Quirk that enhances his Strength substantially

• Took multiple point blank blasts from Bakugo's standard attacks, which are capable of destroying buildings at the very least. 

• Took a 5% punch strike from Deku, which is actually Midoriya's Hero name :D!!!! 

•  Was crushed and skewered from Wolfram's Power and survived

•  Survived getting a portion of his stomach and lungs being ripped from his body.

Of course, like all great superheroes, All Might has special moves that make him quite versatile and surprisingly scary. Here is a list of insane moves from the Smiling Hero

California Smash

California Smash: All Might attacks by performing frontal somersaults and builds up momentum to create a smash. Airborne technique

Carolina Smash. Notice Nomu absorbing the attack

Carolina Smash: All Might runs towards an enemy while keeping his hands in a cross position, then in a downwards cross chop to the enemies head.

Detroit Smash

Detroit Smash:  All Might performs a downward punch. The punch creates a shock wave large and powerful enough to clear the weather. This move is first used to save Izuku and Katsuki from the Sludge Villain











Double Detroit Smash: All Might and Midoriya use One For All at 100% and combine their Detroit Smash attacks to create a smash that is able to crush Wolfram.

Missouri Smash: All Might runs towards an enemy while keeping his hand flat and hits the enemy on the head while running past them in order to knock them out

Nebraska Smash: While throwing a punch, All Might rotates his arm to create a tornado.

New Hampshire Smash:  All Might punches the air while in the air to propel himself backwards towards his enemy and smashes his body into the enemy, crushing and injuring the enemy with his great weight. Airborne technique.

Oklahoma Smash

Oklahoma Smash: All Might whirls around while enemies have latched onto him, spinning with enough force that when they are released they are easily thrown through concrete.It is a perfect counter to those who attempt to grapple All Might.

Texas Smash

Texas Smash:  All Might throws a punch in order to create wind pressure in order to blow objects and people away.

PLUS ULTRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus Ultra: All Might goes beyond his limits and unleashes a devastating punch. It is one of All Might's most powerful attacks.
















United States of Smash: Without a doubt, my favorite Superhero attack in all of fiction, United States of Smash is All Might's Ultimate Attack that quite literally, destroys anything he wanted. While All Might defeated All for One with this badass move, it is worth noting that using the 60x multiplier, this move would be far superior to the most powerful nuclear bomb that ever detonated.......... Yes, All Might at his Prime has the power to destroy countries................... This is why All Might is my Idol (Sorry Jotaro Kujo, your now dethroned XD!!!)

UNITED STATES OF SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long Distance Jumping: Contrary to popular belief in My Hero Academia, All Might does not actually fly. Instead he propels himself by jumping and is gliding through the air. However, this ultimately makes All Might incredibly mobile, as this technique allows him to catch even the speediest of speedsters.

Hundred Crack Fist: A move that is the same as Kenshiro's Hundred Crack Fist and Star Platnium's "ORAORAORA!!!!", All Might can do a Hundred Crack Fist to deliver insane amounts of power with a flurry of punches. Since each punch can break through concrete without effort, imagine hundreds of them pummeling you down at once. You would be turned into mince in just a second!!!!

Feats and Accomplishments

Of course, All Might has achieved a considerable amount of feats that makes him such an endearing and badass superhero. Here is a list of accomplished achieved by the Smiling Hero.

• Has officially, and Cleanly, and like a badass that surpasses Iron Man, defeated All for One

• Has helped Izuku Midoriya, later known as "Deku", achieve his dream to become a Hero.

• Has made the citizens and civilians feel positive whenever All Might is "Here".

• Is the only hero that the villain Stain actually admired. 

• Defeated multiple Villains on a regular basis, most of which many Heroes cannot defeat except if you are All Might.

• Voiced by Christopher Sabat, the same guy who voiced Roronoa Zoro from One Piece and Vegeta from Dragonball Z.

• Is literally, the coolest superhero in my opinion. Second only to Wonder Woman but only just!!!

• Was part of Death Battle's Season 6 Finale against Might Guy, which had pretty much the best battle music of the show titled "Mighty" (How fitting).

• His Smile would make the Joker and the Grinch Proud. Oh, and let's not forget Might Guy XD!!!!

• Has escaped capture from a combined effort of Midoriya, Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo in a simulated bank robbery with All Might as the bad guy....... Funny enough, All Might tried to help out the team but unfortunately, they instead focused on some love relationship that really would not have mattered anyway if one of them actually tied up All Might for custody. But no, they thought he was dead even though Tsuyu Asui tickled All Might's nose and he was clearly alive XD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weaknesses

As badass, cheerful and absolutely great of a character All Might is, unfortunately, he is beatable.



With regards to capabilities, All Might does not use any equipment aside from his Power. Basically, All Might's Power is all he brings to the fight.




Also, All Might has a weak spot that significantly reduced his power. It is with this weakness that All Might cannot hold his Hero Form for no more than 3 hours a day. However, after All for One's defeat at the hands of All Might, he can now no longer use this form for under an hour a day........ That is quite a sad weakness.

However, despite his flaws, All Might is without a doubt, my favorite "Male" superhero. What makes All Might such a great character is that he is one of the very few heroes that has a battle to fight against his injury that he will never win. 

But still he persists and strives to make the world a better place........... Do not fear, All Might is Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve Rogers/Captain America

The Story of Steve Rogers, better known as "Captain America" or simply "Cap" is very straightforward.


Steve Rogers attempted to join the army, unfortunately he was too skinny and weak to be considered a "Soldier". Thankfully a kind hearted scientist devised an experiment on Steve with the "Super Soldier Serum" which drastically increases his physical capabilities.


Eventually, Steve became an absolute badass, and has taken down his arch nemesis Red Skull and even the Winter Soldier, who is actually Bucky Barnes, one of Steve's closest friends.


At one point, Steve was frozen in Ice after attempting to prevent the detonation of a bomb while flying a jet. Turns out, Steve woke up to the present day and was quickly recognized by fellow superheroes from around the world 


After the event, Captain America became a household name, and he became one of the founding members of the legendary superhero team known as "The Avengers". Funny enough, both Captain America and his pal Iron Man were split with power of the team. Sometimes, it worked fine but then conflict between the two did occur multiple times, notably, the start of the "Civil War". However, despite that, Cap is usually considered to be the ideal commander of the team regardless.




Over the course of his fictional lifetime, Captain America has defeated multiple superpowered beings, and helped his friends defeat galactic threats such as Thanos, Ultron, Kang the Conqueror, an enraged Hulk, Red Skull and many others.





That is a basic story of Captain America, now, let's see what the First Avenger is capable of.




Strength

  











Captain America is the definition of a peak human reaching the boundaries of a Human and of course, a Superhero. Strangely enough, Cap's strength is far greater than what most people give him credit for. Here is a list of surprising Strength Feats for Captain America.

• Can break down walls, even without his Vibranium Shield 

• Held Helicopters to stop escapees multiple times

• Should scale to Wolverine, who is able to bench press nearly 1000 pounds.

• Would also Scale to The Winter Soldier, who can crush through Steel and even other tough materials.

• Has traded blows with Iron Man, who can knock out the Hulk with a powerful strike.

Speed

Funny enough, Captain America is actually very fast. Indeed, despite being Peak Human, his Speed is actually something that is surprising to some. Here is a list of Speed Feats 

• Can see bullets coming right at him, allowing Cap to either block or dodge them entirely.

• Has dodged lightning from Thor and Storm, both of whom can conjure up lighting that is actually much faster than regular lightning.

• Has completely dodged Iron Man's Repulsor Blasts 

• Has ran faster than even Black Panther, who is able to outpace other characters like Wolverine and Spider Man multiple times.

• Took down a group of thugs in a time span of just two seconds.

• While jumping over obstacles, Captain America still does not lose speed while doing so. This actually helped Cap capture his enemies in the past before.

Durability

That's gotta hurt!!!

 




  







Durability wise, Captain America is pretty tough, even for human standards. Here is a list of Durability feats

• Has taken slashes from the likes of Black Panther, who uses Vibranium Claws that can cut through metal and sever molecular bonds

• Took a punch from Hulk, who is powerful enough to destroy a single city block with a single punch

• Took a Repulsor Blast from Iron Man, which is powerful enough to push back Gods, and even melt through materials.

• Has taken a beating from The Winter Soldier, who, again, can break through steel and other tough materials.

• Took multiple gunshots to his body and still persisted

• Took a brutal slash from Thanos' Double Sword, which was strong enough to shatter the Vibranium Shield 

The Vibranium Shield

Captain America's Signature weapon is the legendary Vibranium Shield. Made of, well, Vibranium, one of the strongest materials in the Marvel Universe, The Shield is incredibly durable.


It also has multiple purposes, you see, Cap can throw the shield and it almost always goes back to him, even if he misses his intended target.


Also, defense wise, the Shield can completely nullify some of the strongest attacks from Marvel's Heavy Hitters. This also helps Captain America withstand multiple levels of punishment that would otherwise, have killed him entirely.


But the best advantage the shield has is of course, it is capable of doing tremendous stuff with team mates. I mean, check this out.

Yeah, the Shield is basically a versatile tool for any situation :D!!!!






Mjolnir 

You will face the God of Thunder!!!!!! Oops, wrong guy, my bad XD!!!

 



















You would think only a God would wield the legendary Mjolnir, nah uh.



Captain America is one of the very few characters to be worthy of wielding Mjolnir. Of course, Captain America may not be even close to as skilled with Mjolnir as Thor, but he is still quite capable of producing wonders.

While Cap's abilities with Mjolnir may seem basic compared to Thor, it is worth mentioning that Cap's Shield does help out with it's overwhelming versatility. You see, Cap can throw his Shield and then use Mjolnir to ricochet lighting towards his enemies, making it quite a formidable attack that is unpredictable.


Overall, Mjolnir boosts Captain America's Power by up to Eleven, and has made him even more badass :D!!





Skills

Show me your moves!!! (Captain Falcon Quote :D!!!)

Of course, Captain America is a trained soldier. What is a trained soldier good at? Combat Skills!!!!!


Captain America is one of the finest combatants in the Marvel Universe. While most would think he is mainly a brawler type, by no means is this truly the case. In fact, Cap is able to match both Wolverine and Black Panther, both of whom have mastered all forms of Martial Arts. And it is surprising to believe, but Captain America is also quite a skilled Marksman. Especially with regards to his accuracy with his Shield when he throws, he almost never misses his intended target.


However, Cap's greatest asset is his ability to be an effective commander. This alone actually inspired multiple superheroes to be his allies. Even better, Cap's tactics have proven to be hugely successful in the past, for the most part at least






Feats and Accomplishments

  














Captain America is one of Marel's most iconic characters. It comes to no surprise that The First Avenger has quite a resume to behold. Here is some of Cap's most notable feats

• Has officially, and cleanly, defeated Red Skull Multiple Times

• Defeated The Winter Soldier time and time again

• Has defeated Black Panther Twice

• Once fought Wolverine to a Stand still, who would have killed Cap in seconds but failed to do so XD!!!

• Defeated multiple Galactic Threats while helping the Avengers

• Using MCU Cap, he has defeated a bloodlusted Iron Man

• Took down himself..... Well it is actually due to space time continuum nonsense XD!!!!

• Is able to wield Mjolnir...... Badass!!! :D!!!!

• Portrayed by Chris Evans

• Has one of the coolest shields in all of fiction.  

Weaknesses

Pain. Suffering....... Death :(

  

















While Captain America is indeed a Hero, he is one of the easiest to take down effectively.


Firstly, while great for human standards, and far beyond a human at least, Captain America's weaknesses are, well, human level. You see, it is thanks to his Shield that he has survived multiple life threatening situations that if he had not used the Shield, he would be killed.


In fact, sometimes, a clever enough opponent would remove the shield from Captain America entirely, opening a perfect opportunity to pin him down and kill him. This has been done multiple times before, and even Cap struggled hard because of this.


What's worse, while Captain America did use firearms, he almost never used them as standard equipment. Which also brings up another flaw: Lack of versatile equipment.


While Cap has his Shield and occasionally Mjolnir, that is literally it. He has used multiple equipment in the past, but generally they are given to him by fellow team mates before hand. 


That said, despite his faults, Captain America is a real badass hero.







Summary

• Believe it or not, All Might is much faster than Captain America, even going as far as to actually be capable of dodging even Mjolnir's attacks entirely.

• While Mjolnir does pack a punch, the lightning and it's capabilities will not touch All Might at all because All Might would dodge them entirely.

• Far less Durable than All Might

• While having more equipment, Captain America's attacks are far less powerful than All Might's 

• Doesn't always smile while in battle

• While Chris Evans is a respectable actor, Christopher Sabat is just a timeless voice actor!!!

The Verdict

 














All Might vs Captain America is an interesting match up. However, as it turns out, this is actually a huge stomp in favor of All Might.



Stats wise, All Might sweeps cleanly. While Cap may be great for Human standards, unfortunately, All Might is far beyond Cap in every way possible. We are comparing a Superhero who can level city blocks with a standard attack vs a super soldier who at best can break through tough armor with his punches.

It also doesn't help Cap that All Might's speed is too much. While Cap can completely dodge bullets and even lightning from Thor and Storm, All Might's speed still edges out with the fact that he can literally take down 7 villains at once in a time span of 3 seconds. That is also factoring the distance it took for All Might to reach the villains to achieve it.



Durability wise, a nightmare for Cap. All Might can endure attacks from All for One, who is equal to All Might in terms of Strength. That already establishes All Might's edge in terms of Durability. Captain America is still Durable for human standards, but he is not durable enough to survive a City level attack.... That is without the shield.



With the Shield, Captain America does have a chance in that it helps him block most of All Might's Attacks. Funny enough, the Shield alone is what makes the match up go on longer than it seems. So you would think it closes the gap right? Unfortunately, nope.


While Cap's shield carries him in the fight, All Might is more than capable of three things.

1. Dodge the Shield Throw Entirely  
2. Stop the Shield dead on it's tracks by simply grabbing it or even smack it down so it won't come back to Cap. 
3. Pull the Shield from Captain America's Arm entirely, disarming him.

Yeah......... While a great tool for any fight, it is not great for "This" fight.



But at last, we go into Cap's final straw: Mjolnir. 



While this drastically helps Cap even the playing field, again, All Might still has the power level to surpass it. In fact, even without the multiplier, I am confident to believe that All Might is more than capable of dodging all of Mjolnir's lightning and it's attacks. 


But, with regards to the multiplier, if All Might is at his peak, He would end this fight in less than a second. I mean, Cap is going to die from this.....

The United States of Smash is already too much for Captain America to handle. What is worse, even if Cap raised the Shield to block the attack, the momentum of the attack would actually drive Cap deeper into the ground, which would ultimately break his bones in the process. 


Even if Cap is more skilled and experienced, all those do not matter if the opponent is far superior to him in terms of power. In fact, Captain America has never defeated Thor or Hulk in a 1v1 fight using skills at all.



So, Thanks to his Stats, Powers, his smile, Christopher Sabat, being my fictional idol, and My Hero Academia being an absolute badass series, I believe that All Might will prevail "With a Smile on his Face"
